Okay, SO, according to comics and the MCU, Hydra was an offshoot of the Nazi party. In the movies, they try to downplay the Hydra-Nazi connection because it's too inflammatory even while they cast sinister white men with Teutonic accents. In the comics, the message is "Here is this guy fighting Nazis in the name of freedom and justice, skip ahead so many years and here they are again." Cap was created by Joe "Hymie" Simon and Jack Kirby, two Jewish men, during the second World War, as a way to broadcast the betrayal many American Jews felt towards the US for not intervening in Europe.

So it's kind of a slap in the face to see a big Jewish icon take up the mantle of a group that was too extreme for the Nazis. Blah blah blah, just call me Jusperg, et cetera. I'm not going to snap my DVDs in half and burn my comics, but it grinds my gears a fair amount that Spencer threw Nazis in for edge factor with this specific character when we already have a really popular character with ties to Hydra that could be doing that same shit.

It's like saying Superman -- who was written as a Moses allegory -- just quit giving a shit about saving people. Or Batman was secretly the one that killed his parents. It's just fucking stupid and it makes no goddamn sense, and I'm going to stomp my shitty baby feet about it until this awful run gets cancelled. Because it will. Better comics get cancelled for no reason, I'm not too worried about Cap being permanently Hydra.

The commenter has nothing to do with the content; they're assuming this allegation will dissuade others from reblogging OP's content, because they're outside the Tumblr groupthink for drawing Edgy On Purpose anime porn, or whatever. This never works.

On Nazi Rogers, and why comic books are for the old

For the first time in my life, I’m glad someone has died.
Earlier this year, my Jewish great-grandmother passed away, after decades of PTSD, death, war, famine and illness. One of the most inspiring forces in her life, however, was the bright-eyed look her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren would give her when they talked about the ‘really cool man in blue, he beats up nazis!’ That, as you can probably guess, was Steve Rogers.

As her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren died before her, she would spend her days reading those comics, and it was that, we believe, which allowed her to retain higher brain function, considering as she was reading her third language (German, then Russian, then English, because she’s a badass.)
When I went over to see her once (she lived interstate, until moving closer for better treatment), we went to see Captain America. Not in the big, busy theatres, but a small family-run one. We sat there, and she smiled a smile I hadn’t seen in a long time.
As her language began to fail her, I’d read to her, in shitty German but it was reading nonetheless, and she’d laugh and cry as Cap would screw up and fix it and screw it up a little worse.
She’d get sick, get better, sick, better, sick.
She died, and was buried next to my namesake. My grandmother, her daughter. Their graves look over a lake.
Whenever I can, I go and tell her what’s been going on. This happened and that happened and they got together and they broke up and they died and they came back to life.
When I go next, I am going to tell her that Captain America is dead, that Steve Rogers is dead. Because he’s never coming back.
By making Steve Rogers a Neo-Nazi, I would have been faced with the terrible conversation between myself and her. I would have had to tell her, in slightly less broken German, ‘I’m sorry, Bubba, but you know Steve? He’s not what you think. Apparently, he’s a nazi. I’m sorry, I didn’t know. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.
My great-grandmother, a woman who busted herself out of a concentration camp and made her way to Australia, a woman who raised a family when there was nothing but a few dollars and a hope for the world, a woman who watched everyone she loved die from a disease which now rests deep within my bones like it’s written in my DNA and still kept fighting, a woman who battled decades of PTSD and was afraid of thunderstorms because they sounded like getting shot at, a woman who found solace in the fact that someone wrote a character who fought like she did, would have been heartbroken. She might have cried, or screamed, or just closed in on herself.
She might have glitterbombed Marvel. I won’t know, because she’s dead.
And today, for the first time in my life, I’m glad someone in my family is dead. Not because I’m a monster, or because I don’t miss her (oh god my heart is aching right now and I’m shaking because she was right there in those pages and now they’re nazi), but because she would have died hopeless.
And that, dying without a sense of hope, dying without a light in your eyes, is a fate worse than death itself.
She died with a light in her eyes, my Bubba. She was smiling, maybe thinking of her family waiting for her, maybe thinking of the pretty damn good brownies we smuggled in the day before, maybe thinking of how damn good Chris Evans looks, who knows.
I will not let Marvel destroy something so sacred to my family. I will not let my great-grandmother’s dog-eared heirlooms rot because some fuckfaced higher up thought it would be a good idea to make Steve Rogers a nazi.
And if there’s anything I learnt from my great-grandmother, it’s to never go quietly.

I made a post explaining the phenomenon of Superdickery (the concept of Superman being a dick on covers to sell comics, not the site) because I feel like somebody needs to tell the babbies that this nothing new for comics. Although, for once 4chan is similarly pissed off at this reveal, but more because they see it for being the tasteless shill that it is rather than being TRIGGERED.

Although it is kind of nice to see these guys actually give a shit about the Jews every once in a while.

It's nice some people are actually doing something positive, instead of just complaining, at least. Actually donating to a cause doesn't seem to happen often in Tumblr circles; it's usually just a circlejerk of "signal boost!!!"
 
last year I remember when the Maximoffs were stated to appear in the Ultron film, and tumblr got mad that they weren't played by Roma actors. Suddenly everybody there was a roma, they all complained about how they were discriminated and starved off the streets but they were ok with it since they had the comic Maximoffs to look up to, and all that jazz.

A year later, and nobody seems to be talking about it anymore.

See the issue is mostly with breeding and the level of shitty behavior that is accepted. Take a large dog, like a Rott for example. Let's say this Rott bites someone. That's a huge fucking problem, so our hypothetical Rott gets put down immediately. Thus, big dogs that are poorly behaved are fairly unlikely to breed, because it's way, way more important that they be extremely obedient and docile.
Now the tiny dogs? Those dogs can nip anyone they like, shit all over the carpet, and generally be fucking horrible and it's written off, because it's not as dangerous. Thus, smaller dogs are bred with a greater allowance for behavior issues, which leads to a larger number of shit dogs. The smaller the dog, the less of a problem bad behavior is, which is why so many chihuahuas are miserable little bastards.
tl:dr- Your chihuahua is an asshole, and your roommates don't share the emotional attachment that allows you (and only you) to overlook that.

Chihuahuas get a bad rap. They actually tend to have a wide range of personalities. My stepmom's chihuahua, for instance, can be a little shy on his own but he follows the lead of her other dog, who's very friendly and loves people. The two of them are inseparable. I also came across a very friendly teacup sized chihuahua that was in a lady's bag that was very eager to give kisses and get pets.

Apparently the temperament of their parents plays a lot into how a chihuahua behaves.
 
Maybe I'm just way too out of touch, but I don't see why so many bloggers have Autism as their blog's main focal point.
I feel like you'd get burnt out talking about something that has little to no effect on your day to day life (unless you're far on the spectrum or desperately fishing through your medical records to find something that makes you "interesting" online)

I guess I just answered my own question there, but damn dude. The amount of people who act like 'tism is this staggering, insurmountable illness that deserves to outshine everything around it is wild.
 
Not sure where else to put this, but recently a 15 year old tumblr user killed herself. She was deeply ingrained in the genderspecial/tucute community, and was apparently friends with galaxyprincet, who's been posted in this subforum several times before.

Her memorial is actually kind of sad, but very telling. Sounds like she had some serious issues that were only made worse by tumblr. There's some interesting posts on her blog, including a few where she acknowledges the farms. I'm not going to weed through them all myself, though. This just proves to me that tumblr is a dangerous place for kids who suffer from actual mental illness.

Interestingly enough, galaxyprincet doesn't appear to be torn-up over her friend's passing at all.

I saw this today. I had been following her on and off, she definitely had some serious problems that were made a lot worse by Tumblr, as her sister said. It's interesting how in the memorial the sister talks about how Holly became hostile toward her when she came out as trans. These people (genderspecials, otherkin and the like) like to talk about how they should be immune to criticism because "it's not hurting anyone" but it really is. They're hurting themselves by fabricating new identities and personas to avoid confronting deeply held issues with themselves. Many of them hate being themselves so much that they choose to play pretend in their "safe spaces" (read: fantasy realms). They're also hurting others that are actually mentally sick, like this poor gal.

As for galaxyprincet, well, some things never change.
