I'm not even in the JJBA fandom but I follow people who are, and hoo boy, it is apparently full of crazies. Case in point; saw this pop up yesterday in response to this person reblogging this gifset. (Which I had to grab from a different blog because the person I follow's theme is fucking obnoxious, istg Tumblr...)

Ok so, not only are they trying to piggyback in a fandom tag and get a YouTuber's attention because they believe getting a husky is super important for their depressed sister - if their dad can't feed fucking 7 people, how do they expect to keep a dog? They're not cheap - and a dog won't magically cure depression.
 
You know, before the latest Jojo anime, I used to think the fandom was relatively chill.

That's all changed.

And I'm not even into Jojo.

Why the hell does she need 1000 bucks for a dog? Shelter dogs around here are like 300 bucks. If they're that desperate they can't be picky.

The thing that stands out to me is why, specifically, does it need to be a Siberian Husky? Those shits are high-maintenance as hell (what with the vocality; the shedding; the constant need for activity) on top of expensive if you're trying to buy them from a breeder (nevermind the potential health issues if it's a 'purebred' anything). Why not just get a rescue mutt from a shelter if you're that desperate for an animal? It's a hell of a lot cheaper, not to mention it's giving an animal a much-needed home...

My point exactly - huskies are high maintenance dogs, and just doing a quick search now, they range from £400/$580 to £700/$1015 on the first page I'm looking at - so needing a grand when you already have everything you supposedly need for a dog is ridiculous.

And again - if there are seven people in your house included a disabled elderly man, why are you wasting money on a dog when the people need to eat?

I actually hate this. If you can't afford to adopt a dog in the first place, you can't afford a dog. If you are "broke" and "can't feed your family" YOU CANNOT AFFORD A DOG. A dog is an innocent completely dependent on you for food, attention, exercise, training and socialization- if you don't have the resources/can't afford any of these things, don't get a dog. Don't drag a life that has the opportunity for something better into YOUR bad situation just because you're too selfish to think about consequences.

I'm amazed how these people knows absolutely nothing about human emotion. If the Husky story were true, no one is going to sympathize with the sister for having wasted a great deal of money which would otherwise have fed her beleaguered family. No one is going to shed tears and open their wallets; slapping her silly would be more tempting.
 
Tumblr can get pretty autistic when it comes to cats tbh (they give the "crazy cat lady" name an even worse connotation than it already is). it's not the first time i've seen that "CATS ARE FEMINIST AS FUCK" line of thought.

Imagine to have so much time to write down an essay about the middle Ages and the misogyny of cats.

Anyway they're dumb as fuck. #dogsarethebest
