Actually I'm pretty sure the he/him lesbians and she/her gay men are them not understanding Drag Queens and Drag Kings using the opposite gender pronouns while in character for the shows and then just applying that to some weird subset that uses the pronouns all the time because they think pronouns are important when they really aren't to anyone outside of this mindset that tumblr got into.
I know that here (in Russia), as talking about specific gender includes gendering all the words, there are legit lesbians going by masculine pronouns and referrals (my bestie is one, she told me that I can refer to her as whatever and don't need to use masculine words, tho).
