At that point his love quest was focused on sex (Virgin with rage kind of thing), I think he had assumed it was going to be a huge milestone and his life would be better after somehow, probally due to how big a deal it is in movies and TV shows but he hadn't seemed to have considered the actual relationship part past the first 3 dates at that point.

I agree and think it's partly down to cliched stereotypes which allow him to be passive and lazy, from small things like not having to be the one who asks someone out on a date or having only inactive hobbies like shopping to bigger things such as expecting his future partner to be okay with working a full time job to support Chris and herself.

A sudden influx of fan art? Well, with how active Chris has been lately, it's no surprise. I've got my fingers crossed that he'll like and share some fan art that actually is making fun of him.

And grandpachu made me spit out my sleepy-time tea.

The determining factor is generally whether you are a dude who has sex with dudes, which Chris doesn't.
