Probably what usually happens. Bob was old by that point, probably out of shape and middle aged. He meets Barb, does the usual Chandler bragging about all his amazing accomplishments, 7 patents, engineer, then Barb gets dollar signs in her eyes and gets all over him and "chases him down the hall". Chris stated that Barb related to him that she only married Bob because he had a house, and given Barb's history with transient, low wrung men, Bob seemed like the catch of a lifetime.

Once married and had anchor baby Chris, she reverted to her cunt self. It seemed like they'd still go out drinking for the first few years of Chris's life, then real life came knocking with Chris being a slow-in-the-mind and the dream collapsed into the palace of misery 14 Branchland turned into.

Are you 100% sure that is her? Were there birth records in the files that showed she was Patricia and Bob's daughter? Carol Chandler is not a rare name

I looked for a PhD dissertation in math written by her and found nothing. Not that it necessarily means she is not a PhD but usually you can find them. It's also possible that her degree was in some math-related field but technically not math (like maybe in statistics or something which is usually under the math umbrella but not always). I found my uncle's math PhD from the 80s pretty easily when I looked. She's referenced in another Stony Brook PhD dissertation so she did likely attend grad school there, but my guess is she didn't complete a PhD. Perhaps just a masters?

EDIT: Never mind, I see your post here that lists Whitepages and is pretty compelling if you use Patricia's whitepages

I think I found Patricia, bobs ex wife on white pages.
The house apparently sold in 2024 so she could have died and her kids sold the house.
If she’s dead we can find an obituary, if not maybe she got so old she had to move in with one of her kids or is in a nursing home. That’s not unusual for an 89 year old.

Kind of amazing she's kept the exact same hairstyle for all these years. Except for the obvious effects of age she still looks almost exactly the same as she did in high school with The Motherfucker. Impressive.

I was going to remark about how she's sticking with those heavy bangs. They work for her, though.

She just looks so sad in every picture. It makes sense when she's with Chris, but she even looks sad in that current picture by the statue in her cute dress. Maybe she just has Sad Resting Face the way that some women have Bitchy Resting Face.
I hope she's living a happy life.

That's my main bone of contention with Chris's religion. He acts like he's doing the world a favor. What if I want to stay dead when I'm dead? What if I look forward to oblivion like the dude in Sunset Limited?

Also, if I tried arguing this with him, would he just tell me I'm wrong and impose his afterlife on me against my will? That doesn't seem very progressive. Quite transphobic, in fact.
