Cole absolutely hated Bob, too. He has never really explained exactly why. It could just be that Cole was angry that Bob married his mom while he had no idea who his real dad was or it could be that Bob really was that shitty. Cole always just referred to him as "That Republican fuck" but didn't really expand much as to why he hated him so much.

Carol and David obviously wanted nothing to do with Bob, whether that was because they hated Barb or Bob did something, I have no idea, but it must've been real bad for how much they cut him off.

Bob was definitely somewhat of a carny, but he might've gotten that from Barb. Once Barb got sick and he threatened to sue the Chinese restaurant that they had gone to before that. Of course, it's possible that she got it from there but it also could've been from a lot of stuff like living in a hoard.

Cole would never answer as to why he and Bob's kids wanted nothing to do with him these days so we will likely never know. And I would imagine Carol Chandler would be even less likely to answer it

I've always suspected Bob might've cheated on his previous wife, though I have nothing to back it up except a hunch. Either that or he was a shitty parent in his previous marriage, and his doting on Chris was a way to make up for it.

I know I'm going to be SUPER late with this, but has anyone pointed out with his paternal siblings being upper class people that we have canonically established that his mother is the one with the ez-tard oven for a baby maker?

I don't think simply cheating on their mother would be enough. Every family's different, and it depends on how he might have cheated on her, but I think if you love your father and he was otherwise a good father, you'd eventually learn to forgive him for cheating on your mother.

Also, it would be on the divorce petition, wouldn't it? Or the final decree? And where is this side piece, if she broke up Bob's marriage? We know it wasn't Barb, because they only met three years after his legal separation and married as soon as his divorce was final.

I think Occam's razor applies here. He was simply a shitty dad. Qualitatively different in his shittiness but still shitty to his elder two children.

I have a theory that he was strict, having too high expectations. The reasoning with barb took his shit because free house. Why did he put up with barb? Probably didn't want another failed marriage. Probably why Cole left. Bob did accomplished a lot in his lifetime at that age. I think he expected n norms people all can be like him but they were miss guided or lazy.

Of course Chris was born and he pitied the retard but expected more out of him (this is based on bobs letters to Chris) .

Bob wasn't perfect but his biggest mistake was meeting barb, that's for sure.

Doubt it was that. I think he put up with Barb because the tard kept them both too busy to really examine the state of their marriage and also because a divorce would leave them both raising a disabled child alone.

Barb, being a predatory woman, basically locked in with a child so Bob couldn't leave.

Not much is known about his sister but I tracked her down a year ago. She and her husband Bob own like a restaurant camping hybrid store.
Also carols husband got hit with assaulting a minor charges and they were dismissed at some point. The post is somewhere here just look for it.
 
I lose interest in Chris, get made to check back in on him when the farms drops a community post about his distant family, and yet he's STILL as big a delusional tard in the face of death as he's ever been.
