Chris being a retard is because of Barb but I don't think Barb is wholly responsible for Bob's estrangement from his other two kids. She certainly didn't help, but I don't think she's wholly responsible. You don't skip your dad's funeral just because you don't like his wife.

Well he's certainly has declined in mental lucidity due to being terminally online and having no real outside social interaction for 20+ years. While Chris ultimately makes his own hell, at the same time being gaslight by random fuckers online for 20 years might do a number on someone's mental state.

I'm not sure that Chris' problem is that he's genuinely too autistic to live (i.e that he'd be that way no matter what) or that his enabler parents, who refused to believe that their son was a tard, ignored the problem and basically robbed him of the help he needed to live a healthy and productive life
