I’m reinstalling FH4 to revisit my progress. @Cod of War can attest to this; I’ve spent a couple hundred hours into Horizon 4. There was something magical and inviting about Horizon 4 that, to this day, cannot be replicated. Again, I do not normally play racing games so that itself is a glowing recommendation and testament of Horizon 4.
It really was, I haven't played it in such a long time. I still remember that windmill danger zone and doing drag races on the highway. They also fun the tie-in cars like the Quadra From Cyberpunk and the Regalia from FFXV. I liked how the seasons changed the entire map, not just parts of it like it did in 5, even if a week snow and ice was kinda meh,...I might have to reinstall it too but on my PC this time. I can probably max it out too.

The seasons dynamic was a good inclusion. Thankfully, it wouldn’t change during events. Great Britain in the fall and spring is beautiful with how the scenery changes. I swear I noticed some marginal changes in driving between fall and spring.
I remember the opening festival race. I chose the Audi TTS and named it Jean Harlow. There was even a Master Chief showcase race similar to the Cyberpunk race you mentioned. I have both cars.
Got into a discussion with some guys the other day about car combat games like Twisted Metal or Vigilante 8. Are there any modern successors to those or any likely on the horizon? I miss driving around and shooting buses with rocket launchers.
It's installed here with all the Ultimate Edition DLC. I counted 56 DLC packs in queue. Damn. It'll be a trip to revisit where I left off. I'm grateful I was proactive enough to buy its UE for $20 before its delisting.
There was one off road race I completed in the fall season right before it changed to spring. Rapper's Delight then played on the radio, so I drove in my Jeep Grand Cherokee from the countryside to the city. Perfect bliss.
I have gripes with Horizon 4 onwards. Turn 10 is too sensitive with their music selection. Example: Rapper Delight by The Sugarhill Gang is innocent enough for people of all ages to enjoy. Positive, uplifting rap from the 80s. Several verses are censored in FH4:
That's what I remember. Their censoring ruins the pacing for some songs. I would've prefer a toggle to enable or disable that. I get the E rating, but it is excessive.
Okay, here's the opening cinematic for Forza Horizon 4:
Absolutely brilliant and beautiful. That's how you set the stage for a Horizon game. The tranquil music from ODESZA with the changing season transitions perfectly introduces Great Britain's environment that awaits you to bask in.
I forgot I left off in the Lego Horizon DLC with a Mercedes sedan. The castle by the beach would've been a perfect revisiting for me. 38,303,081 CR in my bank account followed by 20 Super Wheelspins in my inbox.
I completely forget that Horizon 4 is fucked on PC, at least the MS version. When I try to get into the game is won't load, if I want to play this game I have to use my console which mean no mp since I don't have game pass. This is fucking gay.

In fact the OST was pretty bangin' in 4 and then completely fizzled out to garbage in 5. 6 seems solid enough from the few hours I put in, but its no 4.

Do you know if the Steam page has similar discussions about what you're dealing with? Wish I could help, but I'm unexperienced with how the Microsoft Store works for video games.
I never got the FH4 glaze TBH. To me, relative to FH5, it felt maybe a little less empty content-wise, with far more irritating driving physics and skill scoring and some other little niggles that were rectified in H5. My first actual Forza game was H5 and I started working down from there, so my frame of reference might be a little weird.

Weird, works on my machine. I bought the MS version an eon ago and when I started playing it much later through (I think I did?) the Xbox app it always worked fine.

Let's see if anybody can guess the license plate reference. IYKYK.

That's the Final Fantasy car I believe. I don't think I have that car since it was a limited time offer before I started playing. Could I buy that car at the auction house?

You can. Also, the Type D is no longer apart of the normal Regalia's car mastery so if you want it too you'll have find someone selling that as well. I wish you luck cause you're gonna need it.

What's Type D? So, the Regalia ,I assume is that vehicle, is still in the auction house? I have bank and collecting cars there isn't something I go out my way to at that point.

Forza (Horizon) highlights two major problems with modern gaming: delistings and licensing agreements. Every few years, each Forza title would inevitably reach end-of-life and subsequently be delisted from all storefronts. All that DLC practically inaccessible, henceforth each community playerbase shrinks due to lack of accessibility. Even if you find a physical copy at an exorbitant price, that is if you have a console or PC capable of accepting physical media, you're paying MORE for LESS since you're locked out of its post-launch content. Even Need for Speed manages to stay on sale for longer.

To be fair, this isn't exclusive to modern gaming. I'd say close to half of Codemasters' library isn't available for purchase anymore thanks to licensing issues, but not for the music. The TOCA games and GRID got taken down once DTM changed management, and a lot of the different racing series either don't exist anymore or are a dead property sitting under some billionaire's portfolio. Which annoys me greatly because GRID 2018 and Legends were mediocre at best and ass at worst. Same goes for DIRT 3.
One of the reasons I like revisiting old racing games is purely for the car roster at the time. It hurts knowing I'll never see something like a Spyker C8 or an S197 body Mustang in modern racing games.
The bigger protest probably came from the Chinese, with the whole Unit 731 deal, and Microsoft didn't want to risk the game (or even the entire company) getting banned when they launched FH5 for the Chinese market.
I wish Turn10 and Microsoft would spend less time schmoozing with China. I can't think of a single time I saw a shitty Chinese EV get added to Horizon and thought "wow, that's cool, I want that". There's already a few in the base game and they're the ugly uninspired econoshitboxes.
For a bonus round, here's another Chinese car.
Now you might be thinking to yourself, "Spider, that's a Gumpert Intensa Emozione, that's a German manufacturer". And you would be technically correct. However, when Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur went bankrupt in 2013, they were bought up by Hong Kong-based investment firm Consolidated Ideal TeamVenture. What we ended up with was an Italian-designed car, built out of Italian parts, built in Germany and sold by the Chinese. They were also responsible for the Apollo Arrow.
On one hand, it's cool to still see their cars around, on the other, it's just more Chinesium shit now. I miss the poster porn supercars of the mid 2000s. At least we're getting the absolutely monstrous Mazda Furai that Top Gear so graciously burnt to a crisp.
