report from duggarssnark correspondent is up. Some highlights:

-Josh was texting Anna (probably) that he was held up at work with customers while he was downloading CP
-The defense is trying to argue that Josh is too stupid to use TOR and BitTorrent 😂 but then paradoxically goes on to say that he has used both of those things for years to protect his privacy as a celebrity?
-Derek is sitting on the Duggar side of court. He and Anna have a friendly exchange.
-jurors saw the CP images but it wasn’t shown to the gallery so Anna wouldn’t have seen them even if she stayed

Dammit, rimjob won't be testifying.

Kinda interesting the questions they were asked.
As someone who works in IT, my guess is that they're trying to weed out people who have technical knowledge. They're also trying to focus on management who might believe their only defense which is that "IT WASN'T JOSH IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE WORKING FOR HIM!!!!". Put short though, they're fucked. Any half decent IT team can track who's computer it was on, who logs in most often to the computer, and keeps other access logs. Then again, this is the Duggar's so they probably don't have anything like that. The defense is going to try and chuck out any jurors they can that might not be gullible enough to believe their shitty story, as it's their only hope for their client. Shitty, but part of what happens.

Lol, I guess the old "the Mexican did it!" excuse won't work: the guy Josh wants to blame for his own cheese pizza wasn't hired until two weeks after Josh did the deed.

Ruh roh! Now what, Josh? That evil messican planted that PC master race computer with CP in your office, then used your own bank password to get away with it? Yes, that's it. Because Josh is an Apple Bro, bro! Everyone knows that. And since no CP was on his Apple, you must acquit, judge!

This is less believable than anything else. So, first off, while it's POSSIBLE it was someone else, everyone and their fucking mother uses work computers for personal bullshit. Admit it. As network security, I'll fully admit I do it too sometimes. Who has access to that computer? Josh. Who's the primary person on that computer? Josh. Who spends the most time on that computer? Josh. You'd have to have VERY solid proof to me that there's any reasonable doubt Josh didn't do it. He's got a history of it - it's part of why the judge allowed the prosecution to bring it in as evidence, because even circumstantial, the fact that he's molested kids in the past makes it more likely he's downloading CP.

Second, nobody in their right mind would download illegal images to an Apple device. ALL that shit gets uploaded to the cloud, and while Apple values your personal security, you can bet your ass that if they detect that shit, they're alerting the feds. Motherfucker is retarded, but he's probably not retarded enough to put CP on his phone. He's probably not retarded enough to put it on his 'clean' device either. That Mac was what he'd use in front of family.

Third, you ain't going to use a mac for work if you're smart. It's a pain in the fucking ass to use, since everyone in business either uses linux or windows if possible, because it's both what people are used to, and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to buy 30+ PC's at a time for updates and other such shit.

EDIT:

Reading through the details of this, I'm fucking astonished at the incompetence on display here from a technical side. Some motherfucker in a McDonalds could have walked away with all their data in packet sniffers at any fucking time? They conducted business on a non-password secured OPEN network? THEY SHARED PASSWORDS!?

I want to strangle these motherfuckers.

I'm assuming Jed is testifying because he worked at the car lot with Josh at the time of all of this. Jed and Josiah, and maybe Jeremiah. I really hope that the defense doesn't try to pin this on one of the other brothers.

For those that didn't know. I don't hang much there because a&p is infested with spergs

Has it come out which fam member inlaw juror was dismissed?

I hope JimBoobs opponents are gonna use the "JimBoob is not being honest" throwdown by the judge in their campaigns

Scott Reisch said in his segment that while the judge had good reasons for allowing the previous molestation/history of prior acts , but that it can open up to appeals, and really, since it's in the State to prove you did it, not necessarily to defend yourself (hence the presumption if innocence), and if they can't convict you with what they got, which really if you're the state bringing federal charges That shit should be in the fucking bag that the past history won't matter, you wouldn't even need to add that information in the first place if the case was rock solid. His computer alone is going to convict him.

But then again, jurors are dumb, and this is Arkie, where they come with even dumber IQ's and the family trees are light posts.p

So I see Scotts point but damn I love watching celebrity scandals and all the fun details that we end up learning . Usually other Scandals happen in a domino effect so heres to 2022, cheers

Based on who lives in the area and has daughters married to Duggar sons, it’s either Joe, Josiah or Jedidiah’s father in law. The other wives families aren’t in Arkansas.

Audio dropped from his arrest. Problem is, Josh was in a truck with an investigator, and apparently the Second before the investigator turned his recording device on on his chest, Josh turned to him and asked "Is This about Cheese pizza? " So unforch we only have the investigator's word that Josh said that.

The audio played Wednesday showed Duggar to be agreeable and responsive, to a point. But he was also vigilant — careful, in his words, not to say too much to the police. "I've watched my friends answer things and they get 'em," he said in the recording. "Statutes are broad," he added.

Hmmmmmm I wonder if this is about that Weismann guy that courted Jana that got busted for impregnating a 13yo or something. (One of his sister's is said to be courting his brother or something atm)

Faulker said on the stand that Duggar was "calm," with "no visible reaction" after agents arrived with their warrant.
Answering questions, Duggar — whom prosecutors say used sophisticated techniques to mask his criminality, while his attorneys say it was well beyond his expertise — detailed how the Wi-Fi worked at the car lot: how he had "daisy-chained" the routers, including one recently re-configured, to expand network coverage.
He also said he was familiar with peer-to-peer networks and that all three of his devices had the software,
which prosecutors say is telling because such a tool was used to access child pornography on the desktop in his office.

!!SPOILER it was behind a pic of his family on his desktop apparently

This, though, was strange, the HSI agent testified: While discussing torrenting (a kind of peer-to-peer network), Duggar mentioned the Tor browser, which is used for various reasons — including illegal ones — because it greatly masks Internet activity. Prosecutors noted it was infamous for its connection to the so-called "Dark Web," but Duggar told the agents he was using it for his business, to upload photos.
"I would not think the 'Dark Web' would be the best place to do that," Faulker said on the stand.
In audio from his interview in 2019, Duggar sounded confused after mentioning Tor. So did the agents. They wondered, "Does he mean torrent?" Duggar said a friend recommended that he download Tor.
"I guess I better not say if I don't understand … I don't see any difference," he said in the audio.
At this point in the interview, the agents explained why they had really arrived: to investigate child exploitation.
"So is that what you're saying is going on?" Duggar said. "What is the scope?" he said, adding, "Is something going on on my devices?"
"In the scope of your investigation, I guess you'll narrow it down … [and] know if it's any of the devices here," he said.
The agents asked Duggar: Had there been any red flags before today? Any reason to worry something accidentally might have happened? "Not at all," he said.
And once the agents were specific about their suspicions as to Duggar's property, explaining how a device on his IP address was sharing sexual abuse material, he started to ask questions until the agents advised that "at this point it's probably best if you just listen."
In later questioning, according to the audio, Duggar said he was wary of incriminating himself in any way: "I'm not saying that I'm guilty or not."
Under cross-examination, Faulker, like Detective Kalmer who testified earlier Wednesday, faced questions about why he didn't pursue the case more quickly and investigate more broadly, including at the home where they initially served Duggar's search warrant.
Faulkner said there was a record-keeping error on the part of the internet service provider that initially led them to the wrong address with their warrant. But Gelfand, Duggar's attorney, contended that they had already narrowed in on Duggar because of his high profile.
As to the timeline, Faulkner said that while Kalmer initially relayed her tip to him in June 2019 — a month after first connecting with the suspicious device on Duggar's internet — he was busy with a higher-priority throughout that summer.
Separately, Gelfand led Faulkner through some photos from the search, showing Duggar's car lot including the main office — a metal, tollbooth-sized building that fit a desk and two chairs. Gelfand called it a "fishbowl" surrounded by windows (though two of them had shades pulled) and noted that the desktop computer in question had a program and labels on it indicating it was a shared computer for business purposes.
But as the prosecution argued earlier Wednesday, law enforcement believes there is convincing evidence tying Duggar himself to the desktop at the dates and times that the child pornography was downloaded, including a pattern of text messages and photos from his phone on two key dates that place him at the car lot and sometimes right next to the desktop around the time the illegal material was accessed.
While Gelfand, in his argument, called it a "mystery" not yet solved, with forensic evidence giving "more questions than answers" and authorities having buried "their head in the sand" 😂

@Techpriest I am boomer, I very much appreciate your post, can u elaborate on this setup? Does Josh actually have a argument that the system there was so open that it could have been someone else?

Gee, I hope JimBoob has a "safer setup" at his house. Or his offices. Or maybe he just lets his stupid millennial sons handle all his IT needs.🌈

The sun is all over this and reminded us of the adoption of their 20th kid a while back, a nephew of some kind from what I understand. I don't think any of this Josh stuff affects that tho.

Lastly, wasn't John David the Duggar that went to Florida to help with whatever disaster that was, wore a gun, pissed people off, stole gas, and food, did nothing and acted totally entitled like Josh? I remember some juicy tidbits from Reddit. I can't imagine him being the gentle brother, hes just as spoiled and manipulative and skilled at lying as his dad. So maybe he doesn't need to resort to violence. (I think the majority of men from fundie fams are sociopaths anyways)

Current speculation on the DuggarsSnark subreddit is that the redditor at the trial was identified, hacked, or is being harassed. Another theory floating around is that someone connected to the trial saw the juror descriptions being posted, along with a photo outside the courthouse that included some jurors that was in another post; these combined could potentially allow the jurors to be identified.

Anyway, here's an archive of the Trial Day 2 Summary posted by j_is_for_jail. The archived page has had the juror descriptions removed.

I actually saw the original post with the juror information and have screenshots of it. She posted pretty specific information about them, including several very specific workplaces and locations. It was really detailed and I was shocked that she thought it was alright to post it. I've got screenshots of it but I won't post them out of concern for jury tampering.

Bless you.

As for John-David, from what I hear, his niceness is definitely judged on relative terms and he is in many ways a dipshit. But he's simply known for being more passive and gentle and obedient -- not the type to have a go at the Golden Son usually, if that makes sense.

Sort of how the Dillards' so-called progressivism is quite relative. They can talk to people of differing without trying to convert them and they're pro schooling and pro-therapy. They're still super conservative by Real World standards.

People, PLEASE remember that the cult-churches that these assholes are affiliated with are every bit as pervasive and dangerous as the mafia.
I don't want to slog through a million "OMG this poster disappeared!" posts every day. It will happen. Expect it.

As for John David Duggar being the nice one, all I can think of when I hear that name is how he was involved in robbing people at gunpoint in the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian.

and are reddit posters mentally defective? "Here's a picture of someone at their home this morning, does this mean they aren't at court today?" ffs It takes less than a minute to take a picture and put it on social media.

I keep seeing a lot of posts in other forums saying that Joy was too young to remember what happened... but she was five years old. Five year olds can remember stuff.

I think Joy may have been told she imagined it, or was remembering it wrong. Now she gets proof that she was right all along, and everyone knew it the whole time.

Lunchtime update:

Josh smiling for cameras at temperature check.
Can he be more transparent?

Justin and his wife Claire plus Claires mom heather, and both women were seen talking to Josh who was in good spirits, they all sat with Anna.

So earlier I said something about the guy Jana courted, I was mistaken I meant Caleb Williams, who is now a sex offender and that may be why they stopped courting

Fox news has live uodates

A KNWA reporter in the courtroom said on Twitter that Faulkner was questioned about why some cell phones were taken as evidence and not others. The defense questioned Faulkner about an employee named Caleb Williams, whose job Faulkner said wasn’t looked into because he was allegedly in another state at the time of the alleged crimes, The Sun reports. Faulkner added that he did not explore the possibility of remote access, per the outlet.

When the prosecution questioned Faulkner, the agent reportedly said if there was evidence of hacking or of Williams being at the location, it would have been investigated. He claimed agents did not have a legal cause to search the employee’s phone.

Warning to only click on above if u can handle details of what he downloaded, itsoretty garaff ick im sorry :(

The first witness for the prosecution was Detective Amber Kalmer, who first began to investigate the child sexual abuse activity in June 2019.

She testified on Wednesday that she was able to download portions of the content recorded by her surveillance software.
One video she saw contained “two prepubescent females, zoomed in on their vaginal areas, being penetrated by an adult man’s penis,” she said. Kalmer added she was also able to view images of nude young girls with a “focus on the vaginal area.” There were 65 images.

When she first reviewed the content in June 2019, she told the court she didn’t assume the activity was associated with any particular individual — she only had an IP address in Springdale, Arkansas, and alerted a law enforcement colleague there, who agreed to start an investigation. Law enforcement were able to ask the internet service provider who was connected with the specific IP address, leading them to Duggar, she said.

Defense:

1.) The defense blamed government investigators for moving slowly to investigate the illegal activity — which law enforcement software detected in May 2019 but was not flagged by officials until June 2019.

2.) According to the defense, law enforcement unfairly associated the activity with Duggar before exploring all other potential avenues, such as his coworkers.

3.) Defense attorney Justin Gelfand argued that Duggar didn’t have the knowledge to install the sophisticated software found on his work computer.

4.) He suggested someone else was responsible, describing the case as an “old-fashioned whodunit.”

They're trying to blame David Waller's brother now?

Apparently Matthew Waller was on the stand before lunch. He worked with Josh at the car lot until early April 2019. He now says the Linux partition password sounds familiar to him, something he never told the prosecuters. It's unclear if he's a witness for the procesution or defense.

@BluntyBitch

Ok so, without seeing his configs/servers I can’t say for sure, but if he’s “daisychaining” to expand wifi cover, it’s about what it sounds like. Each access point along the chain is sending info up and down it. It’s not great, as it isn’t redundant. So if I’m correct here, he’s trying to say someone got access to the routers through wifi after this. Problem is, which network? I don’t have a wifi or network map of his set up, so it’s hard to tell. If he’s using the same wifi network for both guest and business traffic then yes, theoretically anyone could get in… if it’s an unsecured network without an authorization request. If you’re convinced that it was someone else in a McDonald’s, and you had an authentication record of someone connecting to the network with a MAC that isn’t matching anything else that was taken, that would be evidence of someone else being involved.

His story about downloading TOR to upload photos for work is fucking bullshit. Like mega bullshit. TOR can be slooooow, and there’s no damn reason to use it - why not just use a standard browser if you’re dealing with a website or web server that’s internal to your network, and if it isn’t, same boat. It isn’t reasonable to use TOR unless you’re paranoid about security, doing something illegal, or a crazy person like Null. Scrambling your IP address for image uploads for your own car lot sounds fucking retarded.

This also applies to remote access. While all computers default have the ability to be accessed remotely, those are the ports blocked by any sort of firewall to the outside if you’re smart.

So either Josh is smart enough to configure a network but not smart enough to be able to secure it, or he’s talking bullshit. When he’s talking about TOR, he’s talking bullshit. Unless he was an exit node for TOR, there’s no reason but him accessing CSAM that it would end up on his network, and I highly fucking doubt he was set up to be one. Like, no reason at all. His excuses keep getting thinner and thinner.

Ok, will the jury believe this, or do u think this is over most typical normies' heads and they'd like acquit over it?! idk how much you're following the case, I'm just concerned the jury will be overwhelmed and not understand and get it Wrong and acquit him. I saw some speculation that Josh's phone can be tracked to the same PC he was sitting at the same time of downloading, which if true would hopefully convince the jury if the dark web stuff goes over their heads.

GOVERNMENT CALLS SPECIAL AGENT JEFFREY PRYOR

Finally, before break, the government called Special Agent Jeffrey Pryor of Homeland Security, according to the Sun reporter at the trial today.

He was shown a photo of a phone and said it was found in the car lot office, but did not know whose it was.

He was shown a photo of Josh's bag, which had a Macboo and SD cards.

Finally, he was shown a picture of the router, and the agent confirmed it was not removed.

DEFENSE CROSS-EXAMINES WOFFORD

The defense then cross-examined Wofford before lunch break.

Gelfand asked if a lot of people used Covenant eyes, and Wofford said yes.

Gelfand asked why it wouldn't cover Linux, and Wofford said there aren't a lot of Linux users.

Gelfand then said Wofford would have no knowledge if someone downloaded child porn in May 2019, to which Wofford replied, "true."

JUST NOW
COVENANT EYES MIGHT NOT DETECT PARTITION

Wofford said during the trial on Thursday that Covenant Eyes might not detect the other side of a computer partition, that it would not catch or report it, according to a Sun reporter at the trial.

JOSH'S COVENANT EYES RATING

Wofford testified that Covenant Eyes has different rating levels.

He said Josh's was "mature teen," according to the Sun reporter at the trial.

He said it was common and could detect pornography.

He also said it would detect peer-to-peer networking.

There is a piece of the puzzle that hasn't been mentioned that can explain Josh trying to talk in quasi-legalese. He briefly did correspondence classes from a scammy unaccredited law school in California.

Josh’s phone records with texts and with pictures matches the time the CSAM was downloaded to the desktop. He’s pretty much nailed down in that office the time this material started downloading, the government is going to stress this hard. As for confusing normies, it’s going to confuse normies, but the rest of the evidence is pretty damning. The main problem the government has is just explaining the evidence, which if they’re competent, shouldn’t be much of a problem.
