Headlines said they were all sitting on "the family side" with Anna, so I don't know what that means. Are they all sitting behind Josh? Or is there a separate family area in federal court that I don't know about? Kinda weird if they're all sitting on the defense side but I suppose they're all family, and clearly they all feel really bad for Anna. Must be nice for Josh, to know his BIL who hates him is sitting behind him but in fact wants him in prison for abusing his wife. The Keller's aren't rich, and while she has siblings that would certainly take her in, and have said so publically like the brother, her lifestyle is such right now with Boobie footing all bills that she'd be raising her kids in near poverty if she left, compared to how she lives now.
Initially I thought Anna is selfish as fuck. But really she's just sticking to what her fam taught her - you're married off now, ur not our financial problem, that's for your husband.

The redditor said that the family section is behind Josh. I’m assuming they sat in the family section either to support Anna or guarantee that they’ll have seats. Austin and Joy did sit at the back of the courtroom, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Derrick is sitting in the family section so Jill has someone to focus on while testifying. It’s been speculated that the Dillards are extending an olive branch to Anna as the couple that left fundiedom for more mainline conservative Christianity in case she does want to bounce.

He's 18 and the kids, even the boy kids, still had ridiculous standards for public presentation. The Duggar-adjacent who did the podcast mentioned that the Duggars would always be on when a camera was around, even when Josh was in the shaved head and silent treatment part of his punishment he was allowed to talk and act normally if they were filming. It's not exactly keeping sweet but they definitely did force the boys to act a certain way in front of the camera and he might have defaulted to that.
