Everything social media wise I've seen about this game would lead you to believe it's shit but looking at the actual gameplay I am tentatively excited.
They appear to have not fucked it up but I am saying that fully expecting the game to be booby trapped.

While I agree we have suffered through a long pandemic of trump derangement syndrome and it has killed many people(mentally). But like you I still trust Schafer to some extent.

Yup Schafer seems like the kind of person who doesn't wear his politics on his sleeve, and thus in everything he touches. I am willing to trust him, and that he can tard wrangle.
 
I'm mostly digging the fluid movements and animations so far. The enemy variations are also really neat. I wish I could buy it on day one because I'm poorfagging from having to pay for my yearly pet's vet visit this month- but it'll give me extra cash I guess if the game turns out shit.

Xbox Gamepass for PC and Xboxes, I think the first month is $1.
 
Them using Girs VA to voice Raz's archetype is a nice little touch. The new features look pretty cool. Never really understood "selfie" features in games, but it doesn't detract from anything so fuck it.

I haven't kept up with promotional material for this game aside from those three videos just now so forgive me if my next sentence has already been addressed. I will actually feel a little disappointment if Bobby's/Raz's taunt dance isn't included.

I'm in a similar camp. I've watched the trailers and looked around the wiki, but I've been avoiding the longer gameplay videos that were put out a while ago. I want to leave the details of the mental worlds as a surprise.

Double Fine had tweeted about Pins, which could be used to augment Raz's psychic abilities in the game.

Or you could equip the Bobby Zilch one, and be able to do his taunt dance.
 
Reviews are out for those who care. Only reviewer I actually trust to not be full of shit gave it a pretty high recommendation so that's a good signal.

ACG, I wouldn't say I agree with his opinions on games always but even if he's given a code he still buys the game which gives him more credibility than 99% of reviewers out there. Also the dude has been diagnosed with cancer like 3 times so I doubt he is willing to give leeway for a game wasting his time.
