Gotta say that Bob and Helmutt were some of the best handled gay characters I've seen in games. Particularly because they were still allowed to be flawed people.

They remind me of Wally and Gus from Mission Hill, in a good way.Gotta say that Bob and Helmutt were some of the best handled gay characters I've seen in games. Particularly because they were still allowed to be flawed people.
Both of them don't really have that much characterization with Helmutt having nothing other than liking colors and singing I guess but that's it and Bob's only flaw is his attachment issues but that's something I bet tons of other gay characters have so it doesn't help make him unique in the slightest.Gotta say that Bob and Helmutt were some of the best handled gay characters I've seen in games. This just reminds me of how Ford's mind may have been the best parts of the game (yes maybe even better than the Psi king), all of the sections (not counting the camp but it was still neat) were great but sadly they won't all the same quality with the mail one being the best and the barber being the weakest.Don't think anyone posted this trailer. It's something.

I wouldn't say "best", but at least being gay waasn't their whole personality. Their respective levels were also pretty dope.Gotta say that Bob and Helmutt were some of the best handled gay characters I've seen in games. Particularly because they were still allowed to be flawed people.
Considering both games happen in the span of a single day, he did probably pick too many powers. One more little autist sperg:
For some reason, When Raz got naked when he was hazed he forgot that he could turn invisible. Guess it wasn't just in gameplay that he sort of... forgot he had certain powers.
I 100% agree I wish they would have just kept the old cast. What was even the point of the other interns, they didn't really add anything to the plot outside of the very beginning of the game. Now that I'm thinking about it I can't really even remember anything about any of them.Edit: They shat the bed with most characters. The previous cast was atmost forgotten to introduce the new cast, who is flat and/or not explored enough. Even Raz is more of a doormat and lacks agency compared to the previous game.
Sam was really the only one who left a significant impression, supposedly she was used to test the new branching dialogue system they had too. The only standout new characters for me were Raz's family, and the Psychic 6. It's a real shame Sasha, Milla and Oleander got next to no screentime or dialogue.I 100% agree I wish they would have just kept the old cast. It’s a shame because I think their designs are pretty great— but they get so much attention in the marketing just to have a small amount of time in the plot. It’s strange. Would have liked to see more of them, like maybe at least small side quests like helping set up the pirate radio or helping the goth one catch animals.Sam was really the only one who left a significant impression, supposedly she was used to test the new branching dialogue system they had too. I get the feeling they planed for that but then they cut it. I think they cut a decent chunk of the game that made it feel like something wasn't missing. It’s a shame because I think their designs are pretty great— but they get so much attention in the marketing just to have a small amount of time in the plot. What kind of "pretentious big ideas"?As a kid you could only image what the Psychonauts headquarters would look like.
Now we finally have them and they look like those shitty multinational corpo illustrations...

More than half of the Psychonauts are black women too.
Let's talk about how retarded Tim Schaffer is. Since 2005 everyone wanted more Psychonauts. What's his response? He comes up with a bunch of pretentious big ideas that would make the project unfeasible by any means. When Notch (pre-sellout) finally approaches him for a sequel the estimated figure Timmy throws at him is $18,000,000 for developing a cute little platformer. Notch basically told him to go fuck himself.
Imagine Timmy Schaffer going around with his Xbox flop to publishers asking them to invest $18M in a sequel... a sequel to a game that sold no copies. By the time he gets that kind of money the industry goes to shit and he has to hire a bunch of retards that insert 3D models of corporate illustrations. Thank you, Timmy!

The kind that cost $18M.What kind of "pretentious big ideas"?
Say this and mention the cost and everyone with a brain will instantly turn tail. He wanted longer story arcs, longer missions, and more elaborate missions than the first game. All this despite the fact that the first game costed him $13M and failed to break even. If he had scaled back the project and worked with the limitations instead of trying to get around them, then he could've made the game without accepting the Embracer Group money. My pitch also involved how the game sold something like 400,000 copies initially.
