These are all people who put themselves in the public eye. Sometimes noteworthy things happen related to these types so having a specific place for that, which also allows plenty of room for a looser view of lolcow prerequisites, sounds like fun. I’m all for it.

"kind-of a big deal" does kind of work as a smart ass name for them. Hell some of those people you listed to fall under it do consider themselves kind of a big deal and to some they are.

Considering how well-funded and litigious the type of people this would cover are likely to be, emphasizing "public interest" is smart. Even if not the main title it should be emphasized in the subtitle/description.
