I don't remember what was the reason given but didn't Postal 3 Dude appear in Paradise Lost outside the coma the Canon Postal Dude had? LIke weren't they talking to each other and shooting enemies together or am i overthinking stuff?

There’s going to be a cheat that replaces NPCs.

He did appear, 1st he was this voice inside the Dudes head as his "other self" then he took shape an ran off to save champ, after the Postal 2 dude saved Champ and killed his bitch wife, P3 Dude said they both are kinda the merged into one.

RWS is at PAX and they’re all dressed in uniform.

I’m actually surprised how they were able to get away with completely redesigning the Dude’s clothes and putting him in a fucking bathrobe. That should be a ludicrous design choice, but it’s so cool and iconic.

to be fair, RWS have stated that Postal Dude will have his original trench coat as a customization option; so that's nice

So, I was re-watching Civies video on the Russian Postal addon and I do wanna tell a very funny story about it, as Civvie was clearly confused a lot by this addon. So, gather around kiwis and enjoy the very fun tale: Okay, so before making Postal 3, Akella decided to make it's own addon called Corkscrew Burns, originally they wanted to make it more close to the Russian gaming audience, however, the person who stepped in to write the script for it was Pyotr Glance (who also voiced the Dude in the Russian dub, while in Postal 2 he was voiced by a different person). Now, some people here might not be familiar with the dude, he's essentially was and still is a very popular voice actor from the 90's and was part of MANY very well dubbed (or sometimes funnily dubbed) games that were translated into Russian un-officially at the time (examples like Full Throttle, KingPin an etc). So, he wanted to write all the comedy bits, at the time as the script was written Russia was entering this really bad state of internet humor is everything was about dicks, gays, something getting shoved up someone's ass and so forth, like the lowest type of comedy you can imagine. After all that was done, they decided to translate the game into English aaand this is where all the strange talking comes from, the entire script was translated via the usage of software called "Prompt" which would take English or Russian text and translate into the most broken bullshit possible, plus a lot of people who live in Moscow have very thick Russian accents and English wasn't a thing for them, sure they could translate English games to Russian (not always during the 90's time period), but to do it in reverse when the English language didn't have synonyms to particular Russian words or sayings? Yeah, that's where shit was starting to go south and big time.

I’m pretty sure Mike J has hinted at them looking into getting Funko pops made. Those things are horrible, but would you buy one to support them?

I'm not sure what it takes to get a toy manufacturer to do a run of figures for you, but I would implore RWS to aim a bit higher. In Japan, even doujin works get pretty good figures from time to time, so I'm thinking a limited run of more expensive Postal figures would probably be best. Funko Pops are for extracting money out of tasteless normies who like a popular franchise.

Yeah on second thought the dude doesn’t deserve to be ruined by the funko pop art style.

Yeah, but here comes the issue. With the Funko Pops, sure they are made for normies but RWS could sell more of them and thus earn more cash. With a limited figure run, you have to take into factor shit like sending into different parts of the world, will people actually buy it or not (collectors will prob def jump on this right away), how good does it look and etc, what if it gets damaged during shipping and people will wanna return it. Like it will boil down to, will all these factors be worth the end pay out and how big will said payout be.

My assumption is that Postal is not popular enough to sell large quantities of merchandise. I do not have any evidence on which to base this, other than Postal 2's reputation as a cult classic. If you have a small, devoted fanbase, then you can get away with making your merchandise expensive as long as it's of good quality. Funko Pops are not of good quality.

I've never played a Postal game, and the most I know about it comes from watching some of Civvie's videos over the past couple of days. Should I start with Postal 2 or 4?

I mean, they’re decent.
They're so bland that they're entirely reliant on the character having a very distinct look that can't be eradicated by the Funko Pop style, but they manufacture so many characters that this kind of video is possible:
