@Syaoran Li would this an example of the counterculture of the SJW movement you were talking about?
I wonder why they don't port them to consoles.
I honestly think this might be part of a budding counterculture of sorts, as silly as that may sound.
They tried to do something similar with Hatred back in 2015 when the SJW movement was really starting to ramp up and gain ground, but Hatred was too grimdark and it was poorly timed.
Postal has always been about goofball dark comedy and now that we're seeing a growing resentment towards the woke, we'll probably see more "edgy" and "problematic" works in the coming years, and I think a lot of these intentionally edgy and problematic games and movies will be done with a sense of parody and satire. At least in the early phases of it.
I'd also wager that Joker is sort of a predecessor to this potential counterculture, but not in the way that a lot of the blue checkmarks on Woke Twitter are saying. It was a Scorsese-esque drama that was disguised as a capeshit film so it could get made and released. Films like Taxi Driver and Goodfellas are completely opposite of the capeshit and YA trash that is popular in the circles of the Millennial Left.
Even though Joker is not a political movie, the plot was well-developed and brought up a lot of uncomfortable truths about 2010's America that obviously pissed off the SJW's in some way. The fact that the movie intentionally goes against the standard set by MCU capeshit pablum probably also played a role in angering the dangerhairs and bearded bugmen.
Joker sperging aside, I'm glad Postal 4 is coming out and is taking the piss out of woke culture. It's going to be released on PC since that's the main platform of the other Postal games.
I'd like to see a console release, but I don't think Postal 4 would get past the Sony censorship policies.
If it's not too powerful of a game, then we could see it on the Switch, provided it gets the M rating from the ESRB first.
