There have been several, only problem is that from what I've seen(and this is old info) they have been driven by reaffirming ideology and both sides of the aisle are guilty of doing that. So you can read the one that says 95% of women in porn were molested/raped which is way more than the one in four average or you can read the one that says that only 5% were molested/raped which is well below the 1/4 average so... Shady numbers all around.

With the current woke sex positivism I don't think you are going to read much about "sex workers" doing it because of childhood sexual trauma or because they turned to drugs after being raped and had to come up with money somehow.

There are actually evolutionary reasons behind this being a thing anywhere. For a man, the ultimate betrayal is usually his woman performing the sexual act with another man. In prehistory, there was no way for him to know after that if he was dedicating his life and resources to support his own genetic offspring or someone else's. In contrast, for a prehistoric woman the emotional betrayal was the much more serious infidelity. Because a man who sleeps around with no commitment could possibly father a child, yes, but if he falls in love with a different woman he might dedicate himself (and his resources) to her instead of his partner, and that would spell death for his partner and her children.

Obviously nobody likes infidelity, weirdos with fetishes or "poly" freaks aside. But studies have found these are the things that upset men and women the most about infidelity.
