JAV doesn't really put a lot of effort into trying to appeal to the western markets. Which, to be fair, is probably reasonable: it's different enough that a lot of people won't be into it (the mosaics alone are a deal-breaker for many), and those that are into it mostly pirate it, so there isn't really a way to make money that way. And, since there's no real effort to market them into the west, only a handful of actresses even gain a small amount of attention among non-weebs.

Hypothetically, the more popular actresses could shoot scenes for western sites to raise their profile there, but the top girls usually make 10 million+ yen a movie, so it would almost certainly be taking less than their usual rate to do it, on top of doing an uncensored scene, most likely with a foreigner. For obvious reasons, this isn't the most enticing of offers. Usually, when they do scenes for western sites, it's either softcore girl/girl or solo scenes, or just nude shoots.
