The sound quality was really poor but Gen IV was all about spelling out no-no words with pokeball decals and making teams of chatot shout racial epithets at max volume every time they used its unique move
The last part sounds... scatological.Hydreigon's cry would be so much cooler if they just used the last part of it. The first two parts make it sound like its coughing. Also, it's one of the few Pokemon that actually benefited from Gen 6's cry changes.

I saw that video before. He had me at first pretty cool thoery. But then the video went off into the deep end when he starts to talk about the fucking foot prints looking like what the pilots would see after they dropped the bombs, and that regi rock is meant to be the survivors.Cry tax:

Relevant post that got recommended to me and did anyone else here know about this? First it was the Unown and Yamask theory, now this.

Nah, you're good.I lost interest in "Pokemon", but I'm not like the crowd that goes "If Game Freak/Nintendo fucks up the Hoenn Region Remake, I'm DONE!!!"...am I wrong for this?![]()
I don't mind the full cry, maybe it's my turbo autism but I can imagine the first 2 sounds as the smaller heads and the actual big roar being the main one.Hydreigon's cry would be so much cooler if they just used the last part of it. Nah, I've used the Deino line before and that was the impression I got from it's cry as well.I don't mind the full cry, maybe it's my turbo autism but I can imagine the first 2 sounds as the smaller heads and the actual big roar being the main one.
Not like you hear it too clearly when you fight Ghetsis to really pick it apart though, if I ever actually raised a Deino all the way up and heard its evos cry more often i might be more nitpicky with it.
Considering many of the pokedex entries back then and even now contain highly dubious information under the barest of scrutiny, it's still better than going to bulbapedo.Did You Know Gaming got their hands on the official Japan-only PokéDex encyclopedia and got Nob Ogasawara to translate it. There's some real cool lore that existed in the beginning but has since been dropped over time or never made its way into localizations.

Oh come on, they're a bunch of kid diddlers too? Is there a handy highlight or link in this thread somewhere about that, that's news to me.Considering many of the pokedex entries back then and even now contain highly dubious information under the barest of scrutiny, it's still better than going to bulbapedo.
If anyone can suggest a website that isn't run by kid diddlers, that'd be appreciated. Until then, serebii still looks adequate.
All I can say is, "Every. Single. Time."Oh come on, they're a bunch of kid diddlers too? Is there a handy highlight or link in this thread somewhere about that, that's news to me.
There's also this:Oh come on, they're a bunch of kid diddlers too? Is there a handy highlight or link in this thread somewhere about that, that's news to me.
As a gen 4 baby the Bidoof cry is burned into my memory. I didn't run away from many battles so every time I ran back through the starter areas it was a mini bidoof genocide.https://youtube.com/watch?v=FsHwp054mSc
Another good cry.
Apparently there's been a whole bidoof day recently, even with some pretty big announcements:

I've been playing Emerald myself, and I have some similar opinions. As a game it's pretty good, I mean they added abilities and natures, so that's a big improvement. It's the first game that made such a big deal about the legendaries, even more than Johto, but once you go to Rayquaza and solve the Armageddon problem... that's it, problem's solved, evil teams are defeated for good. It's really anticlimactic. Same with the gym challenge itself, aside from Norman, none of the gym leaders feel like they have any real personality or purpose, and you just kind of beat them and move on.I've been replaying Omega Ruby this week and I don't really know if I like Hoenn or not.
Hoenn looks/sounds really good on paper, but in execution it was really bad. Not so much the layout but how gamefreak managed how it worked.I've been replaying Omega Ruby this week and I don't really know if I like Hoenn or not.
