Do you mind giving us a little more insight as to why it's bad memories?

The person who was interested would get a story behind it in private. It's not really that interesting anyway.

Someone I no longer care for bred it for me, it's also named after them, with their ID and all that. I don't want to remember this person, nor do I even care about the Pokemon. It was just their favorite and was a gift. The original meaning behind it has no relevance anymore.

No, I don't think that was a glitch. Was this in Buried Relic? Because PMD DX straight up mentions this, and when you use X-Ray Specs in that particular dungeon, you can indeed see items inside the walls that you can only obtain if you have the Rare Quality that does the same as the IQ skill you mentioned. As for no info about it online, the Bulbapedia page for Buried Relic mentions "buried items", which should mean the items inside the walls. Unfortunately Serebii only includes the most basic info about the dungeon in the original PMD's page.
It happened to me in any dungeon, even in Tiny Woods (I was wandering around with a maxed out character out of boredom). I don't think Bulbapedia is talking about the same thing, they sound like they're referring to the recurring items on certain floors in Buried Relic (and other big boy dungeons) as treasure, the ones that spawn in the center of 9x9 tiles where the surrounding ones are walls you dig through to get to it (may or may not require keys, incidentally the ones needing keys are walls you can't dig through no matter what).

I think it's just an oversight with the level generator algorithm. If you can't see the item on the map and it gets picked up the instant you wander onto it there's no way you could knowingly search for it. You'd have to turn a floor into one of those one-room monster houses to check if a floor might have one or not and that's a huge waste of time in a way that doesn't feel like extending the lifespan of the game. They weren't special items either, the things I found in walls were typical of the dungeon I was in.

How different is the Switch remake from the original 16-bit-ish Red/Blue Rescue Team games? I still play Red (GBA) now and then.

(I have an overpowered max IQ level 100 Articuno in it.)

Pretty different. IQ isn't even a thing anymore, it's replaced with a skill you can learn at random by consuming Gummis.
You can't walk around the friend areas anymore, but they are replaced with some nice art.
Starters have egg moves (I think they're egg moves) and the first move they learn that matches their type.
The dojo has been overhauled for easier grinding. The bank gives you a free item every time you use their services.
It's easier overall, but that may just be me being an older person.

I feel you, but for the type of game that PMD is, multiple camera angles aren't really necessary. They did overhaul the cutscenes to have multiple camera angles, but then that begs the question, why not just have 3D cutscenes like in the DS days?

I guess they wanted to update the game with better graphics without reusing the old sprites, that way they can sell it for 59.99 instead of the original PMD price of 39.99. That's really the feasible reason I can think of.

I hate how Dusknoir still can’t learn Shadow Bone despite it being a skull and Duskull having bones on its back.
Duskull literally has a skull as a face, but past that the line barely has anything to do with bones. I'd say it's fine. Besides, dusknoir can do just fine with shadow sneak and shadow punch.

I remember when the first movie came out and you could get those golden Pokémon cards in a big metal Pokeball at Burger King that you could put on display and would open up when you pressed the button.
Easily the best “fast food merch” you could get at the time.

I still have my Charizard one. Lost the ball though.

I don't have much in the way of merch: I focus on what began the entire craze - mainline games.

I do have the Ancient Mew holograhic card from back in the 90s, because I was am a huge Mew fan; I'm a fan of all the psychic legendaries, especially Celebi.

As far as favorite legendaries/mythical Pokemon go, it's a five-way tie between Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, and Victini. It always appealed to me that there were these incredibly powerful and rare Pokemon, but they're these tiny little bundles of cuteness that look like they'd make a squeaky sound if you poked them too hard.

I hunted for Celebi using a Gameshark someone loaned me, my Gameboy Color, and a copy of Silver one morning as school began in fifth grade; I wanted to make sure I was undisturbed, so I went into the restroom. The teacher proceeded to yell at me to get out of there, as class was starting, but I refused to leave until I caught the damn thing. I was late to class by ten minutes, and she wasn't thrilled.

Lugia, Suicune, Latias, and Latios are tied for second. I've always been partial to the Silver/Soul Silver games in particular, and like the sleek designs of Latias/Latios.

Battle Revolution also had a bullshit test of "skill" final boss that was just six ubers. They specifically led with a scarfed Kyogre if you were using Pokémon from Soulsilver or Pearl.

Oh my God, that holographic card I think is super cool in terms of lore, but it was never really brought up again outside of that promotional marketing. Also it brings up some questions in terms of the animeverse about why in the world a holographic Mew card even exists, but eh.

Lol nice. A neighborhood kid actually traded me a Gamesharked Celebi, which was awesome. The sprite is some creepy shit, though, like I had no idea how to look at this... thing for ages.

Then one of my brothers stupidly decided he wanted to play though the game for a while and started the save file over. And saved it. I thought it was the one twin for years until the other fessed up when I randomly brought it up as a "Lol remember when you saved over my game file?" discussion because the new starter was a Cyndaquil, which is the scapegoat's favorite Johto starter.

Given that the battery eventually ran out and the file would've been lost anyway, my kneejerk outburst in hindsight was fucking stupid, but I was actually really close to having completed my PokéDex at the time. Eh. Least the Virtual Console is a godsend, especially since it implemented the Celebi event, and the Mew Glitch works perfectly in RBY, too. So completion will be a cinch.

hey @Slick Willy

Speaking of legendaries, every play Stadium 2? The "last boss" is the rival from GS who has a team of Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Mewtwo.

I've only ever played the first Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Colosseum, not to mention Pokemon Snap and Hey You, Pikachu! Good to know, though: thanks!

I think the blue around the eyes is what helps make it so creepy. It's like a panda, but there's that light green showing right around the eye.

My older sister brought her sons over when I was playing on the Nintendo 64, and they deleted my Majora's Mask data. This was the only game I was ever really close to completing: I only had to complete Anju and Kafei's questline, and then go on to the final area to get the Fierce Deity's mask. Then they wanted to play on my Pokemon games on my Gameboy, and I told them to piss off.
