You say that, but the likes of Ferrothorn and Toxapex will still be around. The two most unbreakable walls in the game. And most of their biggest threats have been eliminated. If the new lot don't have what it takes to deal with them the competitive scene is going to be an utter nightmare.

I think there will be some new pokemon up to the task. Walls are usually easier to deal with than sweepers that hit so hard you can't even switch in on them. There's a couple Pokemon that are confirmed to be in the game that destory those two anyway,

>Ferrothorn
>Unbreakable

What planet are you from?

The big thing that supported toxapex in the past was it's ability to set up toxic spikes or just toxic/haze however much it wanted and then swap on to another regenerator mom you could safely pivot into a pex counter (usually AV tangrowth)

Now the only regenerator mons we have are Toxapex, Reuniclus and Elsegass who's stats we don't even know yet.

Gigantomax forms leaking.

Edit: Leaker found a shiny Impidimp! This is the very first shiny Pokemon to be discovered in gen 8. Say something kind about it!

Copperajah's looks so silly I can't take it seriously at all and Duraludon's is a fucking building in comparison.
On the other side, Centiskorch looks alright.

Here's all the new mons and their variants (along with most of the Gigantimax forms) all in one pic for convenience.

Someone earlier in the thread posted which previous gen mons did and didn't make the cut, but here is a visual version (mons in green made the cut)

I think I'll save my money and replay Moon.

>stupid Indonesian leaker fag who intentionally posted shaky-cam Gigantomax forms from that artbook he found got caught by Game Freak because he posted his discord profile pic, which lead back to his shit youtube channel and then to his facebook
Thanks for the horribly shot gigantomax form reveals but enjoy your 10mil lawsuit you stupid parkinsons-riddled pajeet. We still have our based shiny-impidimp leakerbro grinding out new pokemon, confirming evolution levels and posting stats as well.

I know why they're pissed but with how tight lipped they've been it's only natural that people were going to do anything to get their hands on the game. They didn't give us any good information, dexit happened, they kept showing us kanto and everyone got sick of it, the starter evos still hadn't leaked, the 24 hour live stream only showed us one new pokemon, then they kept making new trailers with the same shit again and again. Fuck, if I was in the leakers position I would absolutely fucking leak everything and go mad with power.

Considering pokemon fans want to get the games on release, going in blind knowing how they look now would've been fucking terrible. I can't imagine how pissed people would've been. Now people have seen the horrors within and are able to choose if they want to game or not and I think that scares GF the most. They could've made mad bank off people not knowing where the corners were being cut but now everyone knows and they're getting universally panned. I dont know if pokemon will ever lose money but the next few weeks GF will be sweating bullets.

My dude it's a Pokemon game not fucking Auschwitz. There's people who are predetermined to hate new Pokemon games because they're not the old Pokemon games let's be real.

There's enough good new mons that i might have a nearly all new Pokemon team, which is more than I can say for the Kalos and Alola dexes. Imo that's a win. Now if I'll enjoy the actual story and playthrough? We'll see.

The only way to play is to use a team of entirely new mon every gen on your first go around.

I do a different team every time I play a pokemon game - no repeats allowed. It's a good way to play since it forces you to try different mons that you might have overlooked before. It's going to be interesting assemble an all-new team with the options available. I hope they're all interspersed evenly and not locked behind late game or endgame content.

I hated the new Exp Share from gen 6 on until I organically got to the point where I was using a different all-new team for practically every Gym. That was the most fun than I’ve had with the games in a while.

I’ve got a copy of Omega Ruby with 20+ Pokemon in a Box that each got used for a reasonable amount of time before they were switched out at a given milestone.

Probably why I'm not bothered by the cut is in the same way. I even take it so far as to include an extra nuzlocke rule where if a Pokemon survives the Elite Four, it's forever retired from Nuzlocking, and I can pass them if they appear on a route for a different Pokemon.

"Gotta catch less than half of em" just doesnt have the same ring
