I'll see how I'm feeling on the day of the release, honestly. I know for a fact I do not want to preorder, as I have with the last several games. I'd rather get it from a mom and pop shop, if anything.

Mind my ignorance, but what does a "mom and pop" shop refer to?

In this case, the starting area appears to be a meadow and probably a valley; and the ones that were showcased elsewhere was Rolycoly in a cave and Duraludon on a frigid mountain. Come to think of it, most of the wilderness that's shown is either the starting area and 1 or 2 valleys. Of course, there's also a few other biomes shown; but the series isn't always great at handling them.

Essentially, it's small independent store that's supposed to be cheap. Kind of a dying concept, depending on where you live.
 
I’m gonna be down under when the game drops. Tossing up between buying it on the eshop so I have something to play at the tail end of the holiday and on the nearly 24 hour flight home, or waiting til I get back home to get a physical copy.

On the one hand, I do enjoy playing Pokemon on holiday. On the other, I don’t actually own a single physical game for the Switch and I’d quite like a physical copy of this one. I’ll see how I feel nearer the time.
 
So do you think that Mecha Tyranitar Pokemon will be the pseudo legendary of this gen?
Although I think it's best if it's not, don't wanna spoil it again like they did with Kommo-o.
And despite it being kinda meh, it was a joy just running into a goomy in the wild in gen 6.

Only sensible route is to make it soemthing drastically different from the other colors, probably something dark.
 
imo, I was disappointed when the Camping feature was revealed since it's just a cheaper version of Poke-Amie and the Curry Dex is also a cheaper version of the poffin making minigame (if I'm correct) however I'd be delighted I found there was a curry and chips recipe for the Curry Dex

I like them and the diversity for a single pokemon species is nice but given how they were whining over having over 1000 pokemon forms including gender differences and have to literally take some pokemon out because there's too many, I feel this is much too excessive. I hope it uses as little data as possible but the multiple Lillies does not give me much hope.

Holy shit, over 20 Alcremie variants? I dont mind Spinda's endless patterns or Flabebe's different colours but isn't Alcremie's forms over the top since there's literally the same models but in different colours, I can't imagine how many different gigantamax forms will have to be just for the sake of Alcremie's variants

I feel like the dynamax will be the same because it's just a fucking giant ass cake with all the Alcremie toppings on it already.

They can just replace the top with a different topping and just say "lmfao it turns white for dynamax" but i bet it won't be that simple...
 
What if they replaced the thing where each move has its' own PP with a single MP stat all moves draw from like in other RPGs?
 
So a super pixelated pokemon leaked on the site due to an error, bottom right. Someone on reddit drew what they thought it might be. Honestly, if that's true then I'm more hyped.
