Maybe when Australia and New Zealand get a region in pokearth we will get the most dangerous area in all the games. And a farm for all those kiwi Pokemon.... Or a regional variant of doduo that makes it more kiwi like, and dodrio more like a emu.

Kind of. At least from a Japanese perspective. If I had to guess, the conception mainly comes from when England colonized India, and brought back Indian curry with them, and since the Japanese and UK love curry, a lot of anime treats it as a British staple, with the biggest example I can think being Black Butler.

From what I can tell, curry is very popular in the UK, but in the same way pizza is very popular in the US. Popular, but you wouldn't consider it a national dish.

Three Houses already stole the tea

Reminder: I still have a shit ton of shiny dodo that never got claimed. Let me know it anyone wants one.

Dude, they've got National Curry Week in the UK, and they do consider it a national food in the UK.

in 2001, Britain’s foreign secretary Robin Cook referred to Chicken Tikka Masala curry as a “true British national dish”.

I know I mentioned this already, but it bears repeating.

2 months. 2 months left until release and this is all we've seen. Barely over 20 mons and only 2 new evolutions, (8 to arbitrarlity count the starters).

I really, REALLY want to believe that this is a response to the complaints during Alola's hype season of revealing too much pre-launch, but I can see Galar having about as many if not less new mons than X/Y did. Between the general pattern of GF doing everything possible to fuck up and how Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing more than likely doubled the workload (I am adamant that requires at least one extra model per mon or more), the implications here aren't looking pretty.

I'd happily eat crow if I'm dead wrong and there's really 100+ new faces waiting for us, but I can't shake the thought in the back of my mind that even the new mons we're gonna be focused on (with many oldies getting axed and all) are gonna be yet another lackluster element to this ever-growing mess of a generation by numerical standards.

Eh... more like one month.

There will more than likely be a demo released around this time next month, and you know that Dataminers will rape that thing to death.

...Yeah good point. No matter how hard they try to "scrub" the demos clean, life dataminers find a way.

jfc I still hate Obstagoon.

New trailer dropped, pokemon fans are eating each other again.

yay.
I got to say, I find the animation with the curry eating very cute. Also they dropped the protagonist names: Victor for the male and Gloria for the female.

Edit: They actually showed the protags name before in the other trailers nevermind.

Most of these are stuff that you'll catch within 2-3 hours.

Not necessarily. Alolan Exeggutor was one of the first reveals of a new region we got last time (with heavy extra marketing to boot) and you can't get one till just before the story climax on the last island.

Alright, I feel like a dumbass for asking this, but can someone please explain what the hell head tracking is?

Apparently that's what the new animations are doing, but no one's really explaining what that is.

From what I read up on about it: It's basically a program that VR Headsets and such use to track the players head movement allow for a free-viewing kinda thing in games. Here's a link to the site that better explains it: https://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/head-tracking

If that's the case, then what the hell are people saying about the alterations to the animations?

Like, again, maybe this is my stupidity at play here, but by that logic, why the hell are people saying that the animations are only doing head tracking?

At best, I think they're referring to how the pokemon's heads in amie/refresh would follow the player's hand when it was holding a treat.

I THINK.

Cause this is really confusing.
