It's pretty interesting to me that, despite being extremely loud and patronizing, the Sword and Shield defenders rarely if ever have any genuine arguments against the issues people have with the game and when they do it's always vague shit like "Oh programming is hard" or "oh they have other content to make up for it".
Otherwise it's just people shouting "It's not out yet!" "Grow up you man-babies!" "You're gonna buy it anyways so why complain?" "Stop harassing this billion dollar company that doesn't even speak the same language as you!" Or some other grade-school shit.
Not saying this is proof that SwSh will suck, just that it's interesting there's no refuting, just dismissing.
Not really. The Dexit people are more loud and patronizing. I've actually seen people point things out - Like take that apparently floating wall that people keep bringing up. Which ignores the bloody fact that it wasn't from E3, but from the feb direct. While that may not seem like a big deal, to claim that it itself is going to be an issue in the main games is kinda dishonest. Especially when it's 2 seconds of footage.
Or how about the 'recycling animation' which, as much as we like to dunk on, Joe Merrick does have a point.
In addition, let's actually talk about the double kick animation.
Shock of all shocks, what people don't seem to understand when they talk about the Wii game, they tend to forget a very important aspect of Double kick.
Namely... Only 28 pokemon had the move at the time of the release. Meaning that there was a lot less pokemon to animate for the game as well as limiting the number of pokemon that would need animation for that specific move. And even then, watching footage of the games, they actually recycled attacking animations too at times.
0:34 Swellow's Giga Impact
2:13 for Swellow's U-Turn
Or speaking of Battle Revolution, a lot of people forget that that the game was strictly made for battling, and oddly enough, trainer customization (Yeah, that was a thing), meaning that there wasn't any need for characters, cutscenes, dialogue or any rendering of routes/etc.
I'm not saying that these are perfect arguments, but they are out there.
Personally, I find it more sad that you got the Dexit people complaining about how they're being mocked and ridiculed by Fanboys, yet if you go on reddit, it's almost like an opposite effect from reality.
