Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

The positive to observe in all this is that this is finally the major wake-up call the fanbase needed to see through all of GF's bullshit practices as, let's been honest, this was a long time coming. The dex snap kicked down the door and caused everyone (with common sense anyway) to really analyze everything wrong that's been happening to this franchise over the years, and it's all come to a head in an instant.

Whether or not this will actually amount to anything and smack GF where it hurts down the line remains to be seen, but damn it if Star Wars fans can band together despite opposition from their own camp and say "No" enough to make the big wigs think twice, so can Pokemon fans.

The thing about Star Wars is that it originally appealed to an older demographic, got a somewhat crappy prequel trilogy, and got assraped by Disney after LucasArt left it to die. Plus, it kind of has an wider variety in their fanbase when it comes to their ages. Pokemon was always intended for kids and speds, the series was kind of bound to keel over from it's own weight (blame the memory issues & a bloated 'dex), and GF is kind of repetitive when it comes to writing a story. What we're seeing is just the beginning of the tard rage over something that's inevitable.

With that said, I doubt if Sword & Shield will be a flop; but I doubt if we'll see anything groundbreaking aside from the new characters and (poorly finished) scenery.
 
I'm looking forward to this game and don't really care about the no national dex thing but goddamn Versilify is such a dick sucker. I keep getting his videos in my recommended list, watch one and realize what an annoying fucker he is.

Oh hey, for a second I was worried that the Farms didn't have a thread on this crud-show.

I don't mind Dynamaxing. Is it implemented lazily? Yeah. Should Game Freak put this off another two-to-three years like they did with Gold & Silver? Yep. Should the Pokemon actually be meme-sized, and able to be ridden around the Galar Region when you're tired of the open world? For sure. But hey... I guess I got this funny pic out of it, at least.

As for the other stuff, the corner-cutting does seem atrocious, and Masuda's cashing-in on his good reputation is disgusting, but I do hope that the next game will at least fix some of this. Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum were all pretty decent upgrades from their base forms, perhaps they'll try something like that again.

Let's get all the dumb little shits fighting each other, certainly makes things fun to watch. Honestly, people OVER analyze and OVER Generalize in this situation.

You got the GF Dicksuckers like Verlisify, and then you got those newbies who are saying, let's burn GF.

I'm just getting sick of it. I almost just wanna flip both sides off and just focus on unofficial titles.

So... With that said.

Anyone got any fan game suggestions? Maybe we can see how to make a proper pokemon game?
 
I hope this game will turn out good despite this major blunder but said blunder has greatly diminished. Hopefully they’ll add updates that increase the amount of Pokémon that can be transferred until we get the full roster (If they hold them behind dlc though I’m out)
 
So I caved and get Ultra Sun, I need help putting together a pokemon team because I want my team to focus on the unwanted's or things's I've never really given a chance in light of this dexit shit. I usually go with the same pokemon because lol I'm a simple person and if something works for me then I stick with it, I am not competitive whatsoever. I'll have a hard time sticking to any choices I myself make so I'm asking other people to decide for me.

I feel like Garbodor is going to be my main, I like poison and he's kinda ugly/cute, I'm also considering Purugly. I want them to be varied in typing so if you can suggest shit that's be great, no gen 1's plz.

Fuck, that's difficult af because all my mains are in the fucking living dex scattered and in order, I didn't resort to nicknames wither until recently again so RIP.

Usually I'd have my starter, the first bird pokemon (swoobat in 5th gen's case, talonflame my bffl), I've used Noctowl, Mareep, wooper, Walrein, Weavile... but honestly i'll have to look at my other games hall of fame tomorrow but I have used vanilluxe and liked him.

I think I'd like mon's with more than one evo but I guess I should suck it up because lol pokemon I don't use. Trubbish, Glameow, Maractus and Delibird it is lol.

So while yes, voting with our wallets is the surest way to get our point across instead of the autistic screeching, that unfortunately is all but impossible too. For every 1 person sticking to their guns and planning on boycotting the game, there's another 1,000 who are gonna break down and buy it anyway (every single vapid Poketuber regardless of alignment on this shitshow is gonna buy both copies day 1) or are the uneducated masses who are completely unaware of the controversy going on in the first place.

We're already seeing this happen as we speak with SWSH being the second most pre-ordered game right after E3 ended.

Sounds more like they want to branch out and develop more than one game. They said they have different development teams working on both. Just because they want to develop a new one doesn't necessarily mean they're ditching the other.
