game of the year already

A recent interview pretty much said that transferring older Pokemon to the 2019 titles is in the works. (not clear yet if they also mean LGPE, at least for the Kanto Pokemon from older games)

Then again, I don't know why they WOULDN'T allow you to transfer Pokemon forward at this point, they pretty much openly said the Virtual Console titles became a thing to make up for the fact that you couldn't transfer from Gen 1/2 to Gen 3 and that they felt really guilty over the the fact that they were not able to do so back in 2002.

I've actually been getting back into Pokemon Go with a few of my co workers. The new friend feature is great, especially if you have a bunch of people in the local community as friends and then you do raids with them and get that sweet fucking damage boost. They've basically improved the game 10 fold and I'm excited and optimistic for it's future along with the new games for Switch.

Plus it's a great motivator for go for long ass walks, it's been tougher to do it this summer because it's so freakishly hot

I'd say Venasaur looks too heavy to realisticly move like that, but apparantly it's only about 220lbs. Which sounds about right for a 7ft tall creature.

It states that Venesaur is on average 6'7' so I guess in some realm it's possible. I mean we have pokemon like Scizor that are able to move faster despite weighing more so I dunno.

He's literally a tree frog.

Ever have a tree frog jump at you? It's weird af, I've had one jump in my face before. I can't imagine this fucking monstrosity jumping towards me but if that's how I went out I'd be happy.

Just remember that Ariados is a gigantic fucking spider.

Mega Evolutions have just been confirmed for Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee in an issue of Corocoro Magazine.

Also there have (Supposedly, not 100% confirmed) been numerous copyrights made for more Megas lately, all of them Kanto Pokemon: Arbok, Dragonite, Flareon, Golem, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Jolteon, Jynx*, Machamp, Persian, Raichu, Starmie, Vaporeon, and Weezing.

*Mega Jynx had already previously be copyrighted prior to X and Y, but I guess they did it again or something.

Mega Evolutions needed to be "confirmed."

I mean let's be fair here, prior to the release of some games such as ORAS, there were Megas that were "confirmed" but never actually put in game. For example Mega Flygon and Milotic were supposed to be in the game but apparently one of the lead artist, Ken Sugimori iirc got artist block so it never made it in.

Megas coming back isn't too big of a surprise but considering such a minor role they had in the last gen, people though they would just abandon it altogether.

That being said some of the trademarks are a bit iffy, so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Words cannot express how much I want Mega Eeveelutions along with Mega Persian and Raichu. Please let this be real.

This will probably sound dumb, but one thought I had was that they could condense Mega Evolution into the Z-Move mechanics. Think about how Necrozma worked with that, with Dawn/Dusk turning into Ultra Necrozma, then gaining access to its Z-Move afterward. Pokemon with preexisting Mega Evolutions could have a similar deal going on, where they get Z-Moves connected to certain moves. Pokken Tournament's Burst Attacks for playable Pokemon with Mega Evolutions could be used, such as Scizor's Bullet Punch becoming Iron Meteor Dive.

Though Rayquaza will probably remain the exception, considering that it cannot use its Mega Form and a Z-Move at the same time. But then, Mega Rayquaza doesn't need a Z-Move on top of its Mega Form, considering how broken it is.

EDIT: To clarify, this pertains to core games/future generations in general, not to Let's Go

I guess its true that this game isn't gonna live up to expectations and makes us wonder, why?

They really are doing away with the battle to capture mechanic, huh?

They had to work really fucking hard to sucker me in to the 7th Generation. They aren't doing as good a job for this upcoming generation of taking my money.

Never thought Raichu would get a mega. Especially after it got an Alolan form. Arbok, Dragonite, Starmie and Weezing would be among my picks for megas.

Since Misty, Surge, Koga and Giovanni's signature 'mons are included in this list, I also wonder if we'll see megas for Vileplume, Alakazam and Rapidash too.
