Sinnoh Legendaries were cool and captured the feel of what a Legendary Pokemon should be like perfectly. Black/White was the beginning of the end, you could tell they gave up on everything that wasn't Reshiram or Zekrom.
I was less a fan of the Sinnoh legendary design, except the Lake Trio, which I kind of chalked up to being evolutionary descendants of Mew, and Darkrai just because I liked that Sinnoh had more than one spooky location and Darkrai kind of added to the haunted lore in-game.

Problem with Sinnoh is that after an evil team who's goal is "lol literally end the universe bro" and legendaries who control space and time itself, you can't really go any higher with the stakes and themes.

They shoulda/coulda pivoted back to a more Team Rocket style baddies with more down to earth goals, but doubled down on the "use legendary to conquer and/or destroy the world" until Ya Boi showed up in Gen 7.

It's less Sinnoh's problem, but it should still be said that Sinnoh took what Hoenn did fresh and just raised the stakes so high so fast it left a hard position for the follow-on regions.
No one cares about Moltres because Moltres has no lore or cool factor
I had debates in fifth grade behind the playground arguing about Moltres vs Ho-Oh, and Lugia vs Latios & Latias.

It was also just stale in Diamond and Pearl. "Oh, a new villain team aiming to capture a legendary, for some world-altering evil reason!" as if that didn't happen in G3, and (to a lesser extent) G1. Sure, Team Rocket didn't seem to capture mewtwo, but we all know they made Mewtwo. I liked the setup in G5, because they weren't as blunt about it, and N was an interesting character.

The English translation says Mew gave birth and they couldn't control it.
The expanded / more recent version is Mew created a pokemon.

It's up to you to decide if Team rocket made Mew give birth or if it just created it and Team rocket couldn't control it.

Mew used to be the ancestor all pokemon. How can you birth a God if God made everything?

I don’t want to post about it in his thread because as a lolcow I just don’t find him interesting, but it’s kind of funny seeing people get worked up about DSP asking for money to open up packs of the cards when there are plenty of people who do just that while looking like faggots in the thumbnail like pokerev or deeppocket or that puffy faced fаggоt with his dumbass wife. The commotion over the cards has long left its containment and has radiated into other spaces. Like now you have onlyfans whores opening packs and showing off the cards they’ve bought, but people are mad about DSP asking

Because turning up to a game stop to get your SS anne ticket so you can walk up 3 sets of steps to the mythical is peak exploration in pokemon games.
God forbid you go to a place where you could potentially meet other fans of Pokemon for a Pokemon event. Even setting aside that or the ubiquity of action replays in the mid aughts, most of the Legendary encounters were not special events, they were dungeon puzzles.
Moltres was and is cool.
Agree to disagree, imo it doesn't really do anything to stand out compared to Charizard.
The same way you found Mewtwo. Pokemon isn't about lore unless you're autistic and fat.
A big part of why Mewtwo is cool is because there is some buildup to it. You get to explore through Rocket's lab on Cinnabar and see the aftermath of its creation; the rest is left up to the player's imagination before they finally encounter Mewtwo. If you think that makes someone fat and autistic you probably never enjoyed playing Pokemon to begin with.

What event is not working as intended? If you mean Mega Falinks Raid day then it's a typical Niantic fumble. The all Pokemon available event is just a disaster because it is an intentional disaster.
Kyurem rarely spawned during its events in January, and more people saw Reshiram and Zekrom. I'm 40 minutes from a park with lots of gyms, and my group had a hard time finding Kyurems (the worst part was that we had heavy rain during that event). We had more 3* and Mega raids pop up during Therian Eternatus's event on Valentine's Day. The Kalos Global tour was awful if you were looking for Megas you needed like Sceptile because it was mostly ZA Megas nobody uses (not even newer players). I had all kinds of connectivity issued with Shadow Raiku's event.
The disaster is pretty much intentional.
I don't think anyone is arguing this, but Youtubers who cover Pokemon Go don't want to admit it (the shills won't).
Otherwise yeah things are absolutely boring since March and there were a couple new releases that I don't even bother grinding. There was also at least one Pokemon that is unobtainable out of 3 locations where nobody has ever had access of.
The Sustainability and the Spring Marathon events were ridiculously bad, and it's crazy how the featured Pokemon were barely in their respective events. This year's Go Fest looks pretty weak out of certain raids and Mega Mewtwo (Japan's Go Fest got screwed over out of Mewtows, regionals, and the Primals). Global has to wow players out of raids because Mega MewTwo's requirements killed a lot of people's interest in GoFest.
It's just the usual padding out releases to wait for the next Pokemon Legends or console game thing Niantic has been doing since covid. Meowth or Pikachu Gmax events (or ANY Gmax event) are nightmares if you are not in a large city.
Every max content past 2 or 3 stars sucks if you're not in a large city or near a big Pokemon Go group (Don't even think about doing legendaries with 3 competent people who have the patience to reset fights). What made Meowth infamous was that it's the worst Gmax, yet he raped everybody's team with ease if you tried to do it with less than 20 or so people. Meowth shouldn't be that hard to do. Max content is still Go's worst content.

28 packs of Perfect order and pulled nothing. fuck this Im going back to betting on horses I like the name of.
I hope my nephew gets something in the packs I got him.

I saw this questi on Reddit.

Which hacks do you eagerly anticipate?
In my case, I look forward to the fully completed postgame of Unbound, v4 of Gaia, Monomyth, Coral, OceanBlue, Orange: Island Walker, Discovery, Ruby 2, Craditopia, Ancient Ruby/Sapphire, XY GBA, nd even Corundum, the 9-bit reboot of BW3G and Alolan Seaglass.
Clover 2.0

I was playing back then and ended up losing my save so I never came back so I am eaiting for 2.0 to return.

I did it with 18 and at 30 people it was easy overkill, it seems to be much less tougher than usual.

Anyways this is just Gigantamax Battles being Gigantamax Battles, unless if you have over 20 you gotta get raped hard.

(Japan's Go Fest got screwed over out of Mewtows, regionals, and the Primals).
Wait people got fucked again? Also this isn't GO Fest, GO Fest is just a couple days later.

I don't remember there was even a Kyurem event in Janurary.

Speaking of which, they once put a Mega Rayquaza raid day on ZA celebration event, it was very clear that should NEVER be a raid day and they could put the ZA Mega starters there instead.

Also they might as well as put any garbage or even the Kalos starters into the raid pool but they chose to put the first three things GameFreak advertised for Legends Z-A (note that Victreebel, Dragonite and Malamar were the first new Megas shown in Z-A trailers). Any chance that GameFreak was somehow behind this decision?

Even worse?

Flittle is available in 10kms AFTER the event.

And I bet that it will be put into Go Passes, then the wild a year later.

It looks like a featherless chicken toy on fire.

DSP does it so fucking badly that he's destroying his own cards by opening packs with scissors and can't even open a booster pack without spending a couple minutes, something that would otherwise take an ordinary person a couple seconds. It's so dented that Mighty D used his real voice instead of abridging the atrocity.

Why the fuck would I want to meet pokemon fans? I fucking hate the majority of people into the shit I'm into. I spend enough time at a game shop seeing the type of tards that play the TCG and I don't want to mingle with them.
Agree to disagree, imo it doesn't really do anything to stand out compared to Charizard.
What? It's a giant flaming bird, it's nothing like Charizard. Being a giant flaming bird, an electric bird or an ice bird is pretty much the gimmick of the trio. And that's cool. They aren't trying to be a dragon.
A big part of why Mewtwo is cool is because there is some buildup to it.
There is no build up. You walk into a cave and find an overworld pokemon. You battle it and go "oh shit, it's level 70!" That's basically it. Cinnbar island is hours behind you by the time you get to the cave and you have no idea what is in the cave. Nothing in the world tells you Mew's offspring is in that cave. Mew isn't even something you know much about because it's not in red/blue normally.

I'm talking first time playing. When I played through the games the anime wasn't out yet. The mewtwo short hadn't aired. Mewtwo was cool because it was a big weird dude with loads of power. The extended lore wasn't there and it's not there in the games.
