Appropriately, I uploaded my latest build that has everything up to th end of March.
Sadly, Polished Crystal has gotten more woke and therefore needed more work fro me.
Godspeed, also "Polished Crystal started blackwashing Asian characters" is hilarious, they polished the crystal with nigger shit.

More commits had happened since then, but I publish monthly builds because I do not wan to litter the threads.
I also noticed that more people are downloading the restored version instead of the upstream version. I wonder why.

Found in the funny pictures thread.
Maybe not laugh hysterically but I did smile.

That art style is so fucking ugly. It's a total clash of styles.
You mean the regular art vs the ingame art style? Yeah, I agree. It looks like two different games completely, with the former being a shitty mobile game made with AI generated imagery and the latter a modern pokemon game in pixel art that TPC/GF could never give us.

No. I mean the ingame art style. It's a clash of two art styles and they try to use filters and effects to mask it. I never liked it. Just make a proper 2d game like princess crown and stop this bullshit.

Whats the most comprehensive Pokemon game to emulate? Like which one has the most content and the largest pokedex? Or are there any good ROM hacks for like, Ruby, Emerald or Platinum that add more content?

I would say HGSS since it has both Johto and Kanto, but I'm not familiar with Gen II.

HGSS have a lot of side content and small side events locked behind having a particular fateful encounter, so injecting said pokemon in a save may be a good idea.
Black 2 and White 2 have a large pokedex and good variety of pokemon even before the post game, sadly some content is reliant on connecting to a second copy of the game or the defunct servers (although there are fan servers now, unsure if you can connect to them via emulator) .
As for romhacks: gen 3 has by far the most due to how easy they are to modify but you will have to be more specific with what you want out of them since there are so many of them: do you want ballbustingly hard difficulty, tons of new fakemon, a good history?

HGSS and B2W2 have the most content. The latter has more Pokemon in it my any metric (about 50 more available during the main story, about 50 more catchable in total, and about 150 more programmed into the game).

XY has the most number of Pokemon catchable during the main story of any game, but it's very lacking in content. USUM isn't too far behind in catchable Pokemon count and technically has the most number of Pokemon in any game as far as how many are programmed into it, but the quality of its content is rather debatable.

I'm actually replaying the 2 pokemon games people always mention when talking about content, HGSS and B2W2 (I'm on a absolute pokemon streak rn)

HGSS does have a lot of side content and the second region, however Kanto is pretty empty in both the og and remake Johto games. Kanto in HGSS is a pretty good upgrade though, for example, they did re-added a few locations that wasn't in og GSC due to storage space restraints like Viridian forest. Content wise HGSS is also better with more legionaries, swarm and hoenn and sinnoh sound pokemon, and especailly gym leader and elite four rematches (the former also makes leveling up MUCH easier in the late game). One thing that HGSS did amazing is the safari zone, which gives the mid game A LOT more viriaty pokemon selection wise (for example, I used larvitar from the safari zone in my playthrough) and the safari zone system in the post game of switching out biomes and placing down items to find certain pokemon is kinda confusing but also fun imo. I do think HGSS is a bit overrated in how much content it really has given how fast you can breeze through Kanto, but overall still a great game.

B2W2's Unova region is basically doubled in size from BW1. You get to both explore new areas and old areas both in the main and post games, and despite technically being smaller, post game unova in B2W2 has much more content overall the HGSS Kanto. The pokedex has around 300 pokemon, more than HGSS' combined Kanto and Johto dex + some cross gen evos. Also, because of Unova introducing around 150 or so pokemon, it's a perfect split between old and new. There's also A LOT of side content too, pokestar studios, the pokemon world tournament which in the post game allows you to fight EVERY gym leader up to gen 5 including even unovan gym leaders exclusive to the first game. More legenaries as well to catch and they're all in either post game or new areas, and not some dark void like they are found in more recent pokemon games. The graphics are also great despite the game being over a decade old, the game also focuses on the story, but still isn't nearly as dialogue or tutorial heavy as the modern games.

Between the 2, HGSS IS a great game, but B2W2 is just better in everyway imo. I know this is the common answer, but people prop up B2W2 for a reason.

Also DS emulation is way less "solved" than GBA emulating is, but drayano's hacks are pretty great. I haven't played it yet, but I've heard great things about Blaze Black 2 and Volt White 2 Redux.

Play Gen 3. It's the most fun gen.

I saw a L4D mod which turns all the players into poke girls. Their idle animation is to masturbate and the special infected are zoarkas who rape them when captured..

I fucking hate pokemon people.

Bro why do the player avatars on the mobile TCG (not Live) look so fucking bad holy shit :story:

Why is this the game where everyone goes "ah yes, THIS is where I'll rip off the visuals from!"?

I know 8bit Nintendo games more visually appealing than Octopath
While Octopath Traveler may be a game with shall we say unique visuals, what with the dull colors and tons of bloom and defocus blurring... There's one aspect you're not getting. When it was announced, Square Enix called its artstyle HD-2D™. This changes everything. It's not plain, old, outdated pixel graphics. It's not cheaply made retro slop. It's HD-2D! It's 2D graphics, but hip and modern and cool!

I have played Blaze Black 2 and can confirm, it's pretty solid. There's the very slightest hint of jank where you can detect whatever Drayano did running over top the normal B2W2 code, but it's still pretty subtle. And it has a moderately but not disgustingly expanded dex and a slight increase in difficulty. Not fuill-blown competitive kinda stuff, but enough to keep the game interesting.

Also, based B2W2 enjoyer. I have trouble deciding between HGSS and B2W2 as the objectively best Pokémon games, but it's between those two.
