I noticed in Pokopia there was a lot of similar dialogue quirks across characters compared to the JP samples I saw after the mention in this thread. Too much in fact. While servicable in English, there's some individual characterization loss that would bother some fans. Turns out localization was done by Digital Hearts.

322 games? All good then, right? Turns out they've recently implemented AI into their service pipeline, named Ella. Anime sloppa games most likely to be affected by this, but still worth keeping an eye out for.

They're also notorious for not crediting individual translators, presumably because they're moving more to outsourcing non-native speakers or other suspect business practices like non-compete clauses.

It would be funny if Bandai/Sunrise go after Pickmon for it's name.

They're clearly using pocket pair assets and trying to use a similar name. The pokemon stuff is obvious. I'm surprised there wasn't any Digimon or Yugioh monsters in there.

That would indeed be funny. Pickmon is a minor Digimon but that doesn't matter. These clowns named their pokeclone AI slop game after a pre-existing Digimon even if it wasn't intentional.

It's part of the Shoutmon Xros forms, so it's technically a hero digimon.

There’s no research put into any of this, so it’s more likely than not just coincidental. It’s all just the most blatant chinkslop, just like the palmon games and all of those other palworld clones advertised as mobile games. I’d say nintendo asked for that one, but some of those games just look like something made by someone with severe brain damage.

Thanks for doing the patch, obrigado amigo você é um amigo.
At your order.
A... eres brasileño o portugués. Eso explicará tu situación con bajando el ROM.

I wonder if someone fixed for him or he understood that it was bad.
I say that he understood. He outright said that he wants to move on from Lazarus and go to Alola Seaglass. I assume that he wanted to move on from Emerald Seaglass instead of removing the outlines.

(The Pokemon moving after the battle is still in this game.)
I am surprised that wa since the beginning.

I beat the third gen, so far the game has been quite mid.
In all, I feel bad... almost regretting dewoking this hack.
I actually feel uncomfortable from this fact, since I have been actually enjoying this hack, myself. The only problem comes from the day/night cycle being based off in-game time instead of a RTC.

Started playing Lazarus on a whim, despite my doubts as to how worth it would be to play a game by the kind of person who puts pride flags in every house, but I figured why not. I think I agree with the assessment of it being "mid". My main problem so far is the maps, they look "good" but are overworked and overcomplicated in too small a space which leads to areas where the only tile you can take to get from one part of the map to another can be blocked by a wandering NPC. It reeks of "I can make Pokemon maps but BETT-UR, Pokemon maps are boring I can make them so much cooler!! why doesn't Pokemon just put more shit on their maps" said by someone who doesn't actually understand game design.

But aside from that I have a weedcat and a Toedscool on my team so that makes me happy

I got a similar problem: you can actually literally walk over the back part of the benches where they would normally be blocked by a certain direction. The beds in regular Pokémon GBA games had that directional blocking.

Why would the day/night cycle be bad if based on a in-game clock? This doesn't make sense for the player itself.

Unbound had a RTC clock problem that I had to launch the game at the middle of nowhere just to catch a pokemon or other in game events, doesn't matter what I was doing there was just that single window for me to do it. The RTC cycle isn't player friendly because it doesn't take in account the time that the player chooses to play.

The system in Lazarus is so much better because it already is naturally set in and also you can choose the time you want so you don't have to wait. The only problem here is that they should also heal your party too. So you don't have to interact with the center twice for no reason.

So far the maps are alright, I didn't found any puzzle so far so lets see what he can offer later. I did found the wandering NPC blocking one entrance in the graveyeard too. What I dont like is how there aren't those big wild grass places that you can walk all you want and you will find pokemon, it is mostly very little pockets of wild grass.

I've seen people glazing Pokemon Emerald Seaglass as one of the best hacks that came out lately and when I played that statement was just completely false. It is one of the best cases of a presentation over substance. Lets be real, it is mostly a little bit harder version of Emerald with QoL over it. Now with Lazarus we will see if the tranny dev has enough work to make something that we can say that is really good.

I will play more later and will post my thoughts on what happened.

I made a mistake when saying that.
I feel bad and almost regret dewoking the hack because you, who really wanted me to dewoke this hack, felt that the hack was mid in the end.
You shouldn't feel bad about it. Maybe things will get better as I play it, but my stance as someone who played seaglass and wasn't consoomer brained to think that alone makes a good game. If the game doesn't deliver even with the 2.0 version, you shouldn't feel bad at all, it isn't your fault since what you've done is just make the game less shitty.

The thing is that I played lots of hacks and I know how to identify quality, a game that only delivers visuals like seaglass may fool others, but this new game being totally original will test the tranny dev himself if he knows what makes a good pokemon game or not.

Ended up buying a FireRed cartridge for $140 at a thrift store (tax refund money lol). As far as I can tell, I don't think there's Pokémon to migrate over to SoulSilver I can't already get in Diamond/Platinum, but honestly, I wouldn't mind doing a new file on it anyway since I didn't want to erase my LeafGreen file. Eventually I'll be giving it to my husband for his first Pokémon game like with Platinum.

Replaying Scarlet after doing a complete dex/dlc run of Sword recently and holy shit it's so bad, I am 10 hours in and if you only played this game at launch you may think patches may have fixed some issues but nope it still all looks dogshit, animations are all still stiff as fuck and pop in and out. I am playing on Switch 2 so the FPS isnt dogshit but this also mans more pkeman appear on the map which is almost worse because you gotta dodge even more shitmons and run into smolives and Crickets you cant see.

But outside of the graffix it's just bad in every way, The main character is uninspired and flat with no charm to look at, The entire Star story is really really bad, th Gyms are not fun in any way at all because they are stupid mini games and not some maze puzzle and Arvins dog quest is just bad (I'll miss his card in the TCG though).

Shitting on Sword and Shield is fine, it had it's flaws but there was still charm there, the main character had a unique design, the story was relevant to the point you remember the characters in a positive way, the cutscene animation for the most part with few exceptions at least tried. You had multipl character stories running in a linear game and it worked the world had it's theme and charm.

None of that in Scarlet, it's a fucking mess, it's actually the opposite of good.

I am not sure wha that says about me. Art style aside, I actually enjoyed my time wi the game so far.
(I find Emerald Seaglass 'cheating', since I like plain Emerald.)
I wonder what hacks do you consider 'high quality', by the by.

I am going to be blunt here.
I would much rather have you buy Nintendo's digital rerelease than spend 140 dollars.
There i sticking to your principles, and you had tax refund money, bu that purchase is exceptional.

I’m really not a comfy games sort of dude but this Pokopia shit is fire, I never thought I’d appreciate Rolycoly or actually want to decorate
