Will write something up when it actually starts, this is just half an hour of the 30th anniversary logos flashing on different backgrounds
Thank you for summarizing the video for our sake. I'm honestly completely UNexcited for the present, given the disappointing one last year. Even if gen 10 reveal is somehow amazing (it won't) it isn't worth sitting through an hour of mobile slop.

I'm trying to watch rats eating spaghetti, this is the first thing I see.
Fucking hate pokemon.
I start to see why people calls it Kantoslop.
you could say the same shit about the 20th anniversary, gen1 is a millstone around the neck of the franchise
They try to juggle with holding the new shit and gen 1 at the same time without understanding what's the appeal with gen 1 to even begin with.
And honestly, that horse has been beaten so many times its not funny and ironically, the only 3-4 things they didn't/barely/refuses to touch, like sugimori old artstyle, glitches and cards, is exactly what people today finds appealing gen 1.
And to go the extra mile, I wanna say gen 2 was better at everything except the glitches, even despite the massive issues it had, especially since its not like gen 1 was perfect to even begin with.

They try to hold themselves at gen 1 without understanding the appeal woth gen 1.
Im honestly surprised they haven't made a B2W2 style sequel for Kanto yet (besides the Johto games which technically were a indirect continuation). I actually don't think a modernized japan region isn't a horrible idea to be fair (GF would definitely fuck it up though). Plus if unova could be doubled in size while being based on a single city, Kanto could also be doubled in size since it's based on a area that includes the most populous city on earth.

lol, no problem. Half the reason I'm doing this is to spare people the time and energy required to tune in live. This has been a yearly ritual of mine for some time now, so even though I don't really care about the future of the series anymore I'm still tuning in. May as well try and spare some people from my own fate while I'm at it, eh? :P

Anyways, the Presents is actually starting now. Gonna go start editing the other post.

OK, is it going to be shit? Let's find out, but Nintendo kinda needs a win right now. Already starts by talking to their average age audience of most likely 25-year-olds like retards, so letsss fuckingggggg go!

It's literally the same as last year's but with balloon transitions and omega-level nostalgia baiting.

Champions is releasing in April 2026.

Pokopia looks incredibly shit. They confirmed there is a Minecraft-style building thing, too.

GEN 10 WIND/WAVES CONFIRMED FOR RELEASE IN 2027. They confirmed pretty much that the Switch 2 is hell to code for, as the system has been dotted with delays. The lack of footage is concerning.

The presentation was really dull and soulless, so what I expected.

NO MAINLINE GAME FOR THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR
THE BALLS ON THESE RETARDS :story: :story: :story:

EDIT: a game was revealed but it's not releasing until next year
also the trailer was pretty much identical to SV's down to certain shots involving lighting on the water and the entire thing looked like "SV with very slightly better graphics"

Starters for Pokémon Winds and Waves

Got very Gen 3 vibes with all the water and seemed like they had a lot of representation in the wild Pokémon shown off.

Congrats on reaching PS3-level graphics GF, I'm proud of ya.

I just don't get why you needed more grass bird and water lizard starters.
Edit: The gecko looks like a Littlest Pet Shop toy.
Littlest Pet Shop.webp

They all look mid as fuck. The fire one literally looks like an orange slurpuff... The owl is dangerously close to just a non-circular owl starter from Sun/Moon. The water one is just another water lizard, but at least it has a unique silhouette.

They all look mid as fuck.
Mid is too kind my nigga
lest we forget that the grass bird is literally just a worse Rowlet (has the same serious tone, same typing, shares half a fucking name), the lizard is just a more questionably-drawn Sobble (minus the sobbing and with the confidence from the get-go), and the dog is just fucking boring

At least they bothered to wait 7 generations before doing another crocodile, these guys look like they were shit out onto a napkin in the span of 5 minutes

Man, the starters just do NOT look like Pokemon to me. Graphics are, whatever, looks like they traded artstyle for fidelity.

Only thing that Gen 9 has over this is starter design.

First words out of WolfeyVGC's mouth post the trailer:

"That looked really really pretty, like that did not look like a pokemon game."

Honestly, that might be for the best.

SV released in november 2022. This will be the first time two games are five years apart (or rather, at least four whole years and who-knows-how-many-months apart).

Considering they're willing to miss the anniversary, they might actually finally be releasing a game that is at least mostly baked. I'd rather they miss the anniversary than try to do some sort of big open world and completely fuck it up.

...Of course, no guarantee they won't still fuck it up... but it's not doomed to be a fuckup because they got no dev time.

It appeals to the same people that also like people like Logan Paul being in the space. I don’t understand why they try so hard to appeal to people who won’t even make a purchase. It’s like all of the [insert gen 1 Pokemon card here] king personas popping up. They’re worth less than troons.
