Something I noticed about the newer TCG is that they don't even try to mimic the vidya that much with Weakness and Resistance.

For example, that new Grass and Fire type spicy theme 'mon from the vidyas is either a Grass type weak to Fire, or a Fire type weak to Water. In other words, they seem to be making all of a type alike. In Gen 1 to 3 TCG, at least they'd try to make Weakness and Resistances reflect vidya type matchups. Like Sandshrew being resistant to Lightning.

nobody cares about your gay tcg shit, my fake accomplishments in an intangible video game are far more important than your tangible, collectible cards that you can sell for actual, tangible money

i know i'm pretty autistic about certain things in my pokeymans games, but i hate having more types of pokeballs than i actually need. especially in legends za, where my spastic self will fuck up and either accidentally throw pokeballs, or accidentally change the ball type and catch a pokemon in a ball that isn't a standard pokeball, which distresses me greatly. a few of the side missions in legends za will reward you with rare pokeballs that can't be found elsewhere in the game, and you only get 5 of each. problem is, you can't sell or discard them. sure, you could just throw the balls at nothing, but there's a ball collector that will give back any pokeballs that you didn't hit a pokemon with, so you'd be forced to take those back in addition to any other types of balls you used. sure, i could also just intentionally catch pokemon with them, but, like, then i'd have to release them, and that's annoying. so instead i equipped the shinies in my shiny box with these rare pokeballs, including the master ball. now i only have pokeballs, premier balls, heal balls, and luxury balls. all is right in the world.

incidentally i also caught mewtwo and diancie with standard pokeballs, suck my diiiiiiiiiick

I've done regular Pokeball only runs in the past since as a kid I thought it was unfair I got to use all those cool balls with different colors and patterns while the NPCs are stuck with just using the regular bargain-bin Pokeballs.

The other game that I play got one pokemon card illustrator to do a work.

Is she one of the big ones?

I yapped a lot here, but I now understand why my younger self loved gen 7 back in the day, and understand why I was willing to look past USUM's flaws, at the time anyways, since the foundations were still solid.
Gen 7 is the future Gen 5.
Compared to Gen 8+ now, 7 doesn't look so bad even though it's more flawed than Gen 6 vidya.

Yeah, she’s got some good works, but not a lot. One of my personal favorites is done by her and I adore it.

This card is genuinly more disgusting than the transexual playing it.

I despise troons in TCGs because they’re always unnecessarily smug and sneering. Watching numales and sycophantic people parade every time one wins a tournament is obnoxious. I think one of the worst troons in the pokemon TCG is Natalie Millar and the wave of dogshit he churns out writing for TCGplayer.

That said, budew from PRE has been an obnoxious card and while you can easily deal with it, it can become problematic for decks that need items to refresh or have a better advancement in board state.

I kinda feel bad, considering she does seem pretty swell.
I really liked her 'version differences' series back in the day'. The most recent games she's covered were SwSh, so I don't think she necessarily likes the direction the franchise has gone, but just doesn't want to be involved with the discourse.

I still do this sometimes to mimic the anime.

After a time, Ultra Balls are a must.
Man, Platinum is way funny than i thought.

Well, i'm gonna ask you:
What's the differences apart of Pokemon between Black 2 & White 2? Or i need to play the first ones before doing the sequels?

The difference between Black 2 and White 2 is : are you Ted Zielinski or not? Joking aside below pic is your answer

It is highly recommended you first play Black or White because BW2 are direct sequel + they have that thing if you connected both save files you will get exclusive events and certain unique encounters.

What you should know: when they made BW1 their first priority was to recapture the feeling of Red & Blue. So every single encounter until you beat the main story was a gen5 exclusive and nothing else. Unfortunately people bitched about this “WAAAAAAAA WHY I CANNOT CATCH A PIKACHU FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME WAAAAAAA” and they backtracked that idea since.

Technically, Black 2 & White 2 are sequels to Black 1 & White 1.
In the sequels, there are a number of references to old characters and past events from the first games, and to the things that have now changed in the world because of those events—but if you don't know what they're referring to, it's not the end of the world. It's not like you'll be lost or confused and unable to enjoy the playthrough in that case. You'll just get slightly more out of it if you played through Black 1 or White 1 first.

I recommended playing through the romhacks Blaze Black/Volt White and the also sequels Blaze Black 2 Redux and Volt White 2 Redux because they are so fucking good.

My favorite battle in all pokemon was in these romhacks

I don’t care for Ken Sugimori’s formula of pasting sketches over landscape paintings or 3DCGI backgrounds where there’s almost no immersion and it’s just visually unappealing.

But when he manages to incorporate the two, it comes out pretty good.

Oh man, i'm playing every special edition starting from Pokemon Yellow and finishing with Pokemon Platinum. In fact, i'm in Platinum right now.
Isn't any special editions post-gen 4?

I would suggest

Playing these Legacy ROMhacks.

While the third versions of Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3 are better than the normal versions, they are still plagued with many issues, plus they did not want to make a complete version with all the pokèmon because they still wanted kids to trade... I mean buy another copy of the game and a link cable to complete the pokedex, so this means the third versions still omit key pokèmon just to make you waste money (Why no Mareep line in Crystal will always puzzle me...)

These legacy versions make all the pokemon slightly more viable by improving their movesets and stats, increase gym leader difficulty/fix their teams so they are not braindead, and allow you to catch every single pokèmon in the game without trading.

Note: the shitmons are still not terribly good, the buffs are very minor, but now they can be used without making everyone laugh at you.

Funny to see that you dislike it since one of my favorite stuff is this set of cards that came in chips in Brazil that was basically the anime design and a photoshop texture.

I would literally love to have access to all these textures

I finally went to throw out an old Pokémon-related ebay box from a few months ago.
Turns out, the seller had included one of those 3-card TCG promo packs for free, and it had just been sitting underneath some of the box's padding this whole time.
That's really nice, and I'm not sure how to deal with niceness.

We had those in the US, too. If I had a whole day in my house, I might be able to find some.
There was a period of time from maybe 1997 until about 2001 when they were releasing literally anything with a picture of a Pokémon printed on it, and everybody just bought it up.
Just a 1.5" plastic square? It has the Pokémon equivalent of a stock picture on it? It doesn't do anything? But it's kinda shimmery? Yeah, sure, I'll harass my parents until they buy me a hundred of those, why not?

It came inside potato chips. This was the second or third series, I believe muricans call them pogs

This was the second one I guess

The first one that I posted had a Jo Ken Po game attached to it with more status.

These cheap plastic garbo was probably made all around the world. It is easy to sell food if you attach something for children

Found a blog with all these collections, they sure stopped making them at some point.

And yeah, we got mogged by digimon nack in the 2001. I remember them being way cooler
