M YouTube feed keeps recommending a lot of videos regarding any Gen 10 leaks and even video tha try to anticipate what would happen in the 30th Anniversary.

I keep ignoring those videos, since I find that speculation premature. I would rather wait until the actual company releases their own information.
I thought it was because of the leaks rather than speculation.

Has anything actually been leaked recently besides a few super early alpha screenshots and questionable story and settings from months ago about it being some CAPITALISM bad Indonesia?

My biggest want with its setting being SEA based is a Bearcat pokemon, if you don't know what that is they are big scruffy looking weirdo creatures with beady eyes and smell like popcorn.
Gamefreak would so make one a shitmon normal type though sadly.

My biggest want
is for Gen 10 to have absolutely none of the procedurally-generated elements that the teraleak claimed that GF was flirting with using for the next games' environments and their main legendary.

If we're not getting not handcrafted, official, set things, then what's the point?
I hope that GF understands that by now. Any idiot could come up with fake Pokémon and environments with an AI prompt. Whatever we get in the Gen 10 games has to be different from that. It has to set itself apart from and above randomly-generated, cobbled-together, meaningless, interchangeable slop. Otherwise, the whole franchise will just melt into a puddle of desperate-attention-grabbing AI sludge and fade away.

postgame

i was in the hyperdimension that places me in the sewers. water-type pokemon spawn, including froakie.

do all the objectives, break the giant golden pokeball, have some time to kill left on the donut.

realize i missed an area because the sewers still retain the false walls illusion. time is starting to run out, the area is full of froakies, AND OH WHAT'S THAT? A SHINY FROAKIE? LESS THAN TEN SECONDS? WELP FUCK ME, GUESS I'M NOT GETTING THE SHINY FROAKIE

that's it, i'm jumping out of my basement window, GOODBYE WORL

Nigga shinies aren’t that big a deal.

You're absolutely right, but I'm morbidly curious about how a procedurally-generated region and Pokemon would work. The presentation slide about gen 10 literally had a screenshot of Spore's creature creator, could you imagine GF trying to make a Pokemon based on Spore? Shit's gotta be funny.

The idea of a Pokemon that adapts based on your choices sounds neat (doesn't Digimon do something like this?), it's just a shame they want to strip out the soul from it by trying to get a machine to do it for them.

I’ve still never found a natural shiny anywhere except Legends Arceus because that game throws them at you like candy.
also it helps that they give you the 'shiny noise', so they're really hard to miss.

in legends za, they dumbed this down even more where, if you leave the area where a shiny is, IT'LL STILL BE THERE WHEN YOU COME BACK

Shiny hunting became extremely gay and reddit when it became a thing for everyone to try to play some kind of autistic numbers game to circlejerk over catching a Pokemon that has a palette swap that’s usually ugly.

Shiny being originally implemented as something really rare that might happen to you once in a play through if you're lucky was a far superior use of the mechanic than handing them out like candy to shiny crack addicts.

I've caught a grand total of ONE shiny on non emulated games and it was a Buneary in Platinum. It was so special that I kept it on my team all the way through the Elite Four despite it not really carrying its weight.

A once in a life time cool moment generator degenerated to people running back and forth after shoving a mountain of sandwiches or croissants or whatever into their mouths to increase their odds.

Some modern shiny hunting methods can make them as common as 1 in 150, that's hardly rare or unique. I'd complain more about that, but I've RNG'd perfect IV shinies before so I've got 0 room to talk.

off the top of my head, the only pokemon I can think of that have improved shiny forms are Gyarados, Scolipede, Salamence, and Golem (he looks like a milk-chocolate coco puff). Everyone else looks like they suffer from either some vitamin deficiency or some kind of plague.

EDIT: Oh and Diggersby because he looks like Bugs Bunny

I always scratch my head when I see people do challenge videos and somehow manage to see like, three Shinies in a single playthrough, and they stream it so it makes it harder to cheat it. Like where's that luck coming from? Outside of when I used cheats as a kid, I can count on my hands the number of times I stumbled upon a Shiny.

Go doesn't count, the rate there is like, 1 in 512.

Most of them are just some kind of green or yellow and it’s always ugly.

It became a weird kind of dick measuring contest between people for some reason when you can even just generate them in a way where they’re passable.

In that clusterfuck, it depends on the species itself. Some have an inherent high odds around 1 in 60 such as Onix for some reason - I am pretty sure someone out there made a chart about it-, meaning if you found Onix nest somewhere you will run into a shiny way more often.

Guess while people are yelling about shinies, they finally made made available 2D art of the new megas and characters for Legends ZA (except for Garchomp Z cause that's an event mon for some reason)...and many of the mega art look like traces of the 3D renders.

At least we finally now got official art of Eternal Flower Floette...
