I really don’t like the idea of there being a 30th anniversary celebration card set or McDonald’s doing anything with the TCG knowing what’s happened last year. They didn’t even do trick-or-trade last year, which sucks because my wife likes to do the whole blue pumpkin thing and those were perfect.

That said, I think it’s funny to see the English side take $70 promo mini sets and reprint them into a set so anyone can get them like this meowth. If you look in the background you can see cerulean city.

Are you playing the original or the improved versions?
Started with the original because I wanted to get the original experience but switched to this improved version not long after I started since it wasn't a huge change. I'm not sure if it would have mattered considering what it changes doesn't affect what I hate about this romhack. Still buggy too since most of the changes are QoL.

@The Ultimate Ramotith Wanted to try Snakewood for years now but kept forgetting, was playing a bunch of rom hacks recently and coincidentally found your old posts recommending a few. I'm blaming you for this.
I am sorry.
I honestly find the hack fun in a My Immortal way.
If you want something else, try Pokémon Aesthetic Red:
That is a more fabulous-looking vanilla hack.

Also I think I've actually spoke to you before on Pokecommunity a long time ago, your (PC) username is...familiar. Was going to check my old posts but uh...got banned iirc.
Oh, dear... I wonder what happened that got you banned.

Oh yeah, I was amused from time to time because of how outlandish this game is, but God damn were those moments few and far between.

Eh, I mean graphics are cool and all (and this hack looks sure does look pretty) but when I play rom hacks I rather play unique ones rather than "Gen whatever enhancement hack number 93200." Maybe in the far future when I feel like playing FR again with sprinkles.
Oh, dear... I wonder what happened that got you banned.
Knowing me it was probably arguing with the wrong janny over some inane topic that may or may not have been related to the original topic. I don't recall any of my last posts offending anyone or being obscene so it may have been a much earlier post that someone found, reported, and got a janny to sweep over. Either that or someone found a username that was like mine that has said or done someone ban worthy and thought it was me, happened once on this site and happened once on Telegram, both the wrong people. Since I never found a reason to be an assclown on that site even when people have fag flags in their avatars or about tab or some other shit I would bully someone over, your guess would be as good as mine.

I found that Shockslayer's Pokémon Crystal Clear can do SGBC mode where som emulators can play a Game Boy Color game with Super Game Boy borders. How does this work? SGB depends on GB mode, which is distinct from GBC mode.

I am going to buy more pokemon cards
This is a better time to buy, since all of the retards and scalpoids have decided to stop buying any SV sets except for prismatic and 151 and just try to FOMO the latest mega evolution sets. I managed to get a couple of packs of destined rivals before going to work and pulled the Nidoking SIR. It’s funny because they were wiping out destined rivals too before the 5 SKU limit at walmart.

I'll give you the 30th anniversary set since that’s technically been leaked via Japanese trademarks but the McDonald’s Happy Meal set might be fake since the only source for it was a fan wiki (and a list that showed off this year’s Happy Meal Meal promotions with one of ‘em being The Amazing Digital Circus.

Yea scalpers are moving on to One piss from what I've seen and that shit is such an artificial bubble that you can smell the mexican food coming from it.
I got a heap of Ascended Heroes on preorder with little effort besides just being pinged in a free discord server when they went up, nothing really sold out fast on JBhifi and EB games is still taking preorders for pretty much all of it besides the 10 poster pack.

Where'd you learn that from? I could see some Japanese shitposters acting that way, but I don't think it's that common of a sentiment.
A while back an anon asked why there are not many hacks from Japan . Then someone replied claiming he’s been reading Japanese threads and imageboards and said the main reason is Japanese are full of themselves. He shared some screenshots of comments being absolutely ruthless against hacks and they don’t seem to be merely shitposting. Like actual genuine hate.
I know I’ve saved them somewhere but I cannot find them.

Yeah, definitely not a reliable source. I would hate to see a repeat of either McDonald’s debacles last year. It’s just careless to do anything with the TCG at this point in time.

So much of it’s just trying to drum up scarcity of sets still in print that’ll be in print for a good while. The brownoids flocking to onepiss will be in for a rude awakening when they learn about Bandai’s view on resellers and the secondary market.

Logan Paul regurgitated one of the most overdone talking points that’s literally used by every genwunner over and over again. It always comes off as the most dishonest shit ever. It’s without a doubt dishonest because this is the same man selling “partial ownership” of a card he’s trying to sell and leave everyone holding the bag on. If they did go back and make some kind of HD2D remake of those games, they’d still not play them and would find something else to complain about.

The other thing that annoys me is this constant “muh childhood nostalgia”. Things change, target audiences grow up and move on for the most part. The first games weren’t as good as you remember them being, it’s just that you were a kid back then. No one wants to admit that RGBY were pretty much held together with staples and duct tape.

The replies are equally as trash. It’s always so painfully obvious that none of these people have played anything past the GBC games. They did this with HGSS and none of these people touched the games.
IMG_3813.jpeg

And of course this nigger chimes in. Of course, all of the replies are from crypto sycophants who have also never played anything beyond the GBC games.

There is so much ingenuity in this it hurts.

They all want their old pokemon to be on the limelight again so their cards gets more exposure and they get more value from it. They don't give a shit about the games at all.

Also, did pokemon company ever released an artbook with the full HQ pokemon card arts without the borders and in full resolution? For collectors who enjoy the art this may be even better than the cards themselves

There’s a weird obsession with trying to turn WotC era cards into some kind of safe haven asset like precious metals. It feels like a parallel to when people were buying out reserve list magic cards to hold because they’d never get reprinted. The funny part is most reserve list cards are under $1 USD. The thing they forget is up until neo genesis, they were printing sets heavily because of the need to meet demand. I’m not just talking about unlimited, but they printed 1st edition sets more and more up until either gym heroes or challengers.

I don’t know, but it’d be nice to, since they should be aware of the fans having favorite artists.

*ugh*
I did that Pokémon Mania thought experiment a few pages ago! Logan is even repeating the same HD2D art clip that many others did! I feel tha the one who did that clip must b embarrassed by how thins experimental art piece was weaponised.

At leas this person’s cope is fresher:

That is #1 comic book issues all over again.

God I hate this 2DHD graffix that shit games like octopath travler/Triangle strategy have made a thing and Square keeps threatening remakes in this style like the Dragon quest ones, it looks like fucking vomit.

I want a proper dev team dedicated to spirate based gaming making a side series styled correctly but using new settings and pokemon not remakes. the amount of money Pokemon generates there again is zero reason for them to not milk the actual games more instead of just mainline and Legends and shitty phone games.

Anyway open 5 Journey together packs today and out of the 5 got these. I like the whale.

Going to chime in on the last picture. Modretro is a company releasing new and upgraded Gameboy Color games. They probably want a liscense to rerelease the original games since the make bank on nostalgia. I own a chromatic to play old pokemon games on, It's expensive as hell but damn the screen and build quality are great.
Edit: I should mention I'm using an everdrive x7 since there's save issues with gen 2 games

Also, did Logan Paul not know Lets Go is a thing?

i've started actively progressing the story in pokemon z-a. i am now rank b. i've been delaying it because i've been shiny hunting, and also because i wanted to complete all the side missions.

while most side missions so far have been easy to complete, i ended up finally being challenged by side mission 94: full course of battles: three star. ffffuuuuuuck this mission. 10 trainers, 3 pokemon each, no healing. while i was overleveled, just FFFFFFFUUUUUCK. some absolute fucking sadist decided the first trainer would just spam toxic and fuck your shit up. and yeah, i fucking know steel and poison types are immune to poison, but i didn't have either of those in my party because fuck you that's why. i managed to deal with that by just equipping my first pokemon with whatever berry heals poison, and just hope that it doesn't get poisoned again, or if it does, at least it bought me some time. beyond that, though, just very annoying things the other trainers do, like one of them having a rocky helmet on every one of their pokemon. uggghhhhhh.

so there's this side mission, i think 98, where a trainer wants you to catch a jumbo pumpkaboo, but she specifies that she doesn't mean an alpha one. i didn't realize this about pumpkaboo, but each size is its own form, meaning that a pumpkaboo labeled M could also be Small, for example. so what this quest is really asking you is to catch the jumbo version of any size of pumpkaboo (presumably the alpha (XL) version counts and would probably be accepted as well). i just thought this was kinda neat, even though finding a jumbo pumpkaboo of any size was a huge pain in the ass because of all the chaos on the field.

also i found another shiny budew and i caught it this time!

I like the wailord, I pulled one from a box of battle partners when it was $40 and was content with it being one of the 3 hits I got.

I saw the NFT avatar and made a safe bet everyone’s the same there. That said, I’m sure Logan was too busy dealing with the consequences of filming a dead body to find out about let’s go pikachu/eevee.
