...oh dear.Is it normal for copies of Super Mystery Dungeon to crap out? Like loading and loading and loading on that 3DS logo, and that error screen that one has to hold power off on?
Or did I get the dud?

On this note, isn't one or both (since there seems to be at least two) MewTwo considered an 'artificial' Pokemon? The OG M2 was created in a lab and seemed to have a weird backstory in that it had human DNA from the scientist that created it (to me explaining why it's more humanoid then the Mew Pokemon it came from) and that a Mew died giving birth to it, so artificial 'mons with creepy backstories seem to be a thing it seems.A girl from PACIFIDLOG TOWN that was reconstructed into a POKéMON through unknown means. Technically, it could be called an “artificial POKéMON”."
The MONSTER part of the PokeMon seems to have gotten lost it seems. These creatures were not originally written to be seen as the the natural creatures of Earth, as when the series was new, the first Pokemon manga mentioned that normal animals existed (alongside the Pokemonl but that normal animals were going extinct because people were too infatuated with the Pokemon to keep normal animals alive and (I'm guessing) keep the Pokemon from out-competing them. There was a normal dog shown in the anime in the first several episodes, or a roasted chicken on occasion as the portrayal of normal animals. It also makes sense if a Mew is intended to be the Pokemon that contains DNA of all of the Pokemon, knows all of their moves, and can fly through space to other worlds, and looks like a fetal kitten, and seen as the ancestor of all Pokemon (if I am wrong in any of this, feel free to correct me.) So whenever the games' NPCs would always say 'Welcome to the world of Pokemon' or act as if Pokemon were somehow these exotic creatures one had to be 'introduced' to, it never makes sense if Pokemon are native creatures that have been with man from the beginning, but were intended to be seen as rare exotic MONSTERS with special powers.I loved this bit, not only integrates the story and gives explanation to a very important character but also features one of the most important stuff: Pokemon are fucking MONSTERS, not pets or animals, they can come out of nowhere, including humans. The more games that comes out, with the exception of Ultra Beasts I feel like this origin gets more and more sanitized
Now I'm curious how you even managed to beat Cynthia if that's the case.Team was absolutely scuffed and half of them did jack shit against the elite four
Milotic carried me through the E4 and Cynthia, Staraptor and Snorlax to a lesser extent. The other 3 did little to nothing. Now I'm curious how you even managed to beat Cynthia if that's the case.
Thankfully it's only handful of games that suffer from this problem due to the cause in question (for those who don't want to watch the videos, it's due to Nintendo being cheap and going with a different company to produce certain game carts that were prone to dying). That said SMD is sadly one of the games that's affected by this issue and it's still a wise idea to back up your saves.
I'm pretty sure the human DNA thing was only in the manga. In that continuity, Mewtwo was made by Blaine under Team Rocket using a sample of Mew DNA some grunts were able to get, but the sample wasn't good enough so he injected his own cells into Mewtwo to finish him, and also for some reason I can't remember the reason for Blaine also had to inject Mewtwo's cells into his arm, which gave him a psychic link to Mewtwo but also gave him basically cancer that was killing him. He freed Mewtwo when he decided to defect from Team Rocket. Later in Gen 2 he got chosen by Entei as its partner to fight evil, and so Entei used Sacred Fire to burn the cancer cells out of Blaine's body. Blaine later popped up in the XY arc and was the one to mega evolve Mewtwo. The OG M2 was created in a lab and seemed to have a weird backstory in that it had human DNA from the scientist that created it (to me explaining why it's more humanoid then the Mew Pokemon it came from) and that a Mew died giving birth to it, so artificial 'mons with creepy backstories seem to be a thing it seems.
The manga doesn't have anything like that, unless that was something in the Clefairy gag manga. The whole idea that Pokemon were slowly replacing animals was an that the first head writer of the anime, Takeshi Shudo, had in his head, but it didn't really show up in the anime since the rest of the anime writers and producers didn't want the story go do anything really weird like Shudo really wanted it to.the first Pokemon manga mentioned that normal animals existed (alongside the Pokemonl but that normal animals were going extinct because people were too infatuated with the Pokemon to keep normal animals alive and (I'm guessing) keep the Pokemon from out-competing them.
Base games gen 4 teams are so generic it hurts man, Staraptor, Lucario and the starter are always in everyone's teamI actually did it

I beat platinum for the first time since I was an a actual child. Team was absolutely scuffed and half of them did jack shit against the elite four but I did it somehow.
You don't need even to go to other media, the games itself refer real animals all the time with the pokedex entries/category.but were intended to be seen as rare exotic MONSTERS with special powers.
I like the idea that real world animals still exist. There's still the last remnants in this with the "X Pokémon" title that they have, like Caterpie is the Worm Pokémon. Also makes more sense that Pokémon are seen as these mysterious and not fully understood being. It's a harder sell when just about every living creature in existence aside from humans is a Pokémon. You're otherwise right though that Pokemon were originally envisioned as existing in the real world alongside regular animals as basically a combo of a cryptids, youkai, and mabye aliens, and you can pieces of that in the Gen 1 games and other media. Still a little in Gen 2 too, but the whole idea changed by Gen 3 when the head creative of the games changed from Tajiri to Masuda.
Lots of people keep their starter on their teams, at least this one has some variety and a starter other than Infernape. Half-expected the team to be the generic Infernape, Staraptor, Luxray, Garchomp, Floatzel and Lucario.Base games gen 4 teams are so generic it hurts man, Staraptor, Lucario and the starter are always in everyone's team
Gen4 is the only gen where none of the starters did anything for me. I remember using Crobat a lot until I found an area with Pokemon I actually wanted, which was Gastrodon East Sea.... and PachirisuLots of people keep their starter on their teams, at least this one has some variety and a starter other than Infernape. ...oh dear.
At least SMD turned out to be sorta annoying and I didn't really enjoy it that much...SMD is sadly one of the games

If this can happen to the highest profile person in the scene, God knows how many children are being molested or raped at these events. If I had a child, I don't think I'd feel safe letting them attend a Pokemon tournament.Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that WolfeyVGC, AKA Wolfe "Mr. Competitive Pokemon" Glicke, has come out as The Raped in a new 30 minute video.
Aw son of a bitch you sniped me while I was uploading the archive.

To summarize:
All joking aside, this seems like a very solid response on his end. Here's hoping his changes make for a grope-free career.
- Wolfe Glick / WolfeyVGC, the most well known world champion competitive Pokemon player (and probably competitive Pokemon player in general) turned content creator, is announcing that he does not intend to attend future in-person tournaments for at least the next four months due to, among other reasons, fans groping him while posing for pictures (3:30) and tagging Wolfe on twitter with thirst comments about what sex acts they'd like to do with him (19:30).
- This is very notable as the Pokemon World Championship is an in-person event and Wolfe makes a large edited video telling the story of his experience at this tournament each year.
- Wolfe is getting off of social media, and instead will be hiring a manager to run his accounts so he doesn't have to interact with horny internet freaks.
- Wolfe will continue to make non-tournament Pokemon content (e.g. "What is the best X type Pokemon?") and presumably online tournament content in the future even if he never attends an in-person tournament again.
The Smash Bros community has become notorious for harboring pedophiles, so I'm not surprised the Pokemon community also has them. It appears any children's videogame community is going to attract pedos. Pokemon is more of a videogame-centric community than card game-centric, but card games like Magic and YuGiOh have been known to attract the worst neckbeard redditors (most of whom are probably pedos) for a while now.If this can happen to the highest profile person in the scene, God knows how many children are being molested or raped at these events. If I had a child, I don't think I'd feel safe letting them attend a Pokemon tournament.
