Clearly inferior to the thicc swirly-eyed white O.G. version.
In official material she's a lot more on the slender side, the internet took the moomoo milk memes and converted her into the milk truck we associate with today

Just emulate it ain't that hard (plus switch 2 + games is more expensive than a decent gaming pc nowadays anyways)
why would you even give this shit-fest hours and hours of your precious time, which is more valuable than the 90+ dollars they want. I mean, yes, pirating it is better than the alternative but I really encourage people to consider just axing Pokemon from their lives entirely. I get that people have hobbies but this hobby keeps asking for fistfuls of cash just to spit in your eye.

I quit Pokemon 5ever a couple years back and I was a die-hard fan. I was brainwashed in the 90s like everyone else. But the quality of the games, devolving designs and the shit card pulls lost me.

I came to check this thread to feel vindicated, and I do.

My GOD the designs are so fucking bad. I don't know how anyone can pretend any of this is aesthetically pleasing. The new designs actually look like AI designs- especially those fucking Raichus. THAT'S supposed to lure people into buying DLC?

If you are still giving Gamefreak money, you're part of the problem.
Hard agree. A successful boycott will never happen, though. This franchise has people by the nostalgia-balls, and they will guzzle the slop until they die. I guzzled the slop for way, way too long and I really wish I quit much sooner.

I really like the OG RSE design so much better. This is literally just Tomoko from Watamote all grown up.

You can just play romhacks, they come out regularly and have higher quality than the official games, not to mention they're all free. The dents who still buy the new games are absolutely moronic and will not stop no matter what, they might as well be the yearly sports games fans who buy all the new FIFAs and Maddens.

The beta story of Sword and Shield isn't great, but at least it's a story. The one in the final version is quite literally unfinished, nothing gets done and Rose's motivation makes zero sense. Looks like I was also right on walking Pokemon that would get re-introduced in DLCs being cut content, there is no way they programmed that in haphazardly in a few months. Gigantomax Pokemon would have more utilization in the final game and there was going to be Galarian Zubat line, something that I very much would have liked. The third Legends game will take place in Galar supposedly, complete with a fuckton of niggers despite taking place in ancient Britain no doubt, so maybe they can finally add that in.

Scarlet and Violet on the other hand had a much better story than in the final game, for example Nemona would have a proper arc and Team Star would be a proper threat. Penny was a late addition to the game, likely for marketing reasons, and instead of the missing professor nobody cares about you would have a missing champion, who would end up being stuck in Zone 0 or whatever the final area was called. That place would also be very much fleshed out with Alola styled trials, along with the Elite 4 challenge right in the middle of it. Reminds me of Black and White, which is where I believe the past/future theme inspiration came from, Black/White city depending on the version of the game. This story isn't great or anything, but it's much better than what we got in the final game, hell Arven even seems to have his own personality outside being depressed that le fluffy doggorino is dying. I have no clue why they re-wrote the game to be worse in both instances, altho this is a pattern with a lot of these games if the last year's Teraleaks are of any indication. Oh, and they actually had gyms scaling up to the player character depending on how many badges they've earned in the initial draft, why the fuck did they remove that?

I'm sure the individual devs have good ideas and genuinely care about the franchise, but yeah the higher ups keep cucking them. As someone who thought SwSh at least had potential (england and uk in general are a simple but cool setting) and with SV I actually did like a lot of the ideas they had with the game, but in the end, both products was heavily undercooked.

I've actually haven't bought a single thing niggtendo related since the 3DS and USUM. Even with not paying GF cuz i use emulators, I still felt I was wasting my money on occasions. Also yeah a lot of the megas in ZA are pretty bad, even as someone who's usually at least ok with the designs. They just feel too lazy, but what was I expecting really.

here's my first time seeing ZA in action:

Pokémon Legends ZA is an Overpriced Disappointment

- Lord Frogmire

Also did I hear that right at the start? $550 for the vidya and all DLCs?!

edit: That $550 also includes the cost of the Switch 2.

Well a friend of mine gifted me the Switch 2 Edition of Z-A, I've been playing through it and it's okay. I prefer Pokémon's past games but I can slot this one into "I can enjoy it without a lot of complaints" logbook.

Someone on /vp/ pointed out that the game hadn't been out for that long, I know it's probably a review copy but I'm going to choose to believe he pirated the game
IIRC Joe would do that just to make sure that Serebii was the "first" English-language fansite to cover games but the piracy stopped after BW due to him incorrectly reporting that not gaining EXP on the first rival battles, an anti-piracy measure that actually affected EXP gain in general, as an in-game feature.
When I see stuff like this I feel like they wanted ZA to be set further in the future, this is supposed to be just 5 years of neglect for Lysandre's lab.

Looks more like 20-30 years, but then you couldn't have Mable or the other people tied to Team Flare.
I haven't reached that far into the game yet (I've only reached the part where Vinnie sets up a promotion match between you and him to jump from Rank V to Rank F) but this area looks a lot like a ruined version of Lysandre Labs.
