Alphas are really common, just have to do the story until you fight your first one and then I see them anytime a wild area repopulates. Shouldn't be hard to get one of something you like.

Yeah, that's how it was in Arceus. They're just there.
These are random alphas, not the ones in PLA that were set to always be an alpha, The set ones still exist but going to a zone and seeing an alpha bunnelby and bellsprout, next time neither of them are alpha. It was a lot rarer for randomly spawned pokemon to be alphas in PLA.

>people defend Unova
>you get the laziest fucking designs
>that British fuck isn’t flayed alive

The design philosophy got lazy in Kanto 2: Unova babies can’t reply to this without sounding upset.

I just want to add this to the conversation. From centroleaks.

The mostly positive reviews for Z-A sound suspicious though. It feems like the same thing when Sony told game reviewers to shower TLOU2 with praise, or else Sony will threaten to disappear those reviewers that say anything negative about the game. I feel like Nintendo will do the same with Z-A, in an attempt to get heat off from their ongoing lawsuits against PalWorld, and Blizzard also has cucked out by gutting Battle Pets in the next WoW Expansion.

I feel like the design philosophy of the original megas while kinda gay was better than whatever this bullshit is. I know Unova fans are defending it, but 99% of them look like napkin sketches. The Skarmory design feels like someone had the concept of a streamlined flying sword-esque design and threw it into an AI image generator.

Like the mega is that Skarmory is just a flying knife, but the AI just spat out gold and knife feet.

But each store only has like 4 items, and they aren't always unique to that spot either.
SV Cities did that too with clothes and ingredients shops.
Reminds me of a YT review dumping on SV, where he made the analogy of there being a "cheese Aldi" and another Aldi for something else.

Anyway, stores which are merely menus are really lame. Even Gen 1 vidya had stores the player could go into and talk to characters in.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Super Sucks - Stel Key

(the store and town thing is mentioned @ 7:25 in)

You know, I won’t ever dislike the vidya side of Pokemon 1/10 as much as I dislike both parts of the TCG side. None of these people enjoy collecting the cards, it’s solely about the money just like it was with MTGfinance. Like I can live with the vidya reveals like mega dragonite or victreebel because those are dumb and silly but anyone who wants them can get them. The way things have been going with the TCG side if you aren’t one of the retards waiting outside of a store for a restock or buying from some brown person for twice the MSRP then you’re pretty much blocked out unless you don’t mind TCGplayer and eBay, which are ripe with market manipulation.

I know it gets dismissed with no effort, but it really does have to suck to be a kid trying to collect or play and not having access to the cards outside of singles because fat, dysgenic, low IQ millennials are desperate to relive their nostalgia or try to make a living off of a children’s card game. There’s precon decks for playing, but the good ones that are now going to have an illustration card going forward instead of including staples are also being bought out. The Marnie deck this summer is a good example since they’re tearing those apart for the Marnie’s morpeko.

I read through the PDF from 2021 going over the past structure of GF a little and how Masuda was kicked as director, and the part that made me stop the most was this slide.

It's about their relationship with TPC, and it says that GF has a lot of independence to do whatever they want, but that also means they don't really work together or hear out requests. The particular point that draws my attention is that it says this means they often can't get development funds from TPC to make the games. They then say that because Legends Arceus was spearheaded by GF, they didn't receive any funds and almost had to pay the entire development costs themselves until talks where made with TPC at the last minute.

Is this why GF acts like they're a small, frugal company that can't afford anything? TPC and Nintendo suck up a big chunk of the revenue and then TPC refuses to work with GF on pooling money for development budgets?

Man I just finished the first part of Chaos Black Recreated, this game is good.

After years We finally can fight and capture the titlescreen pokegod himself:

The story is better written and involves elements like time travel and alternate worlds, some cults and the villain who wants to destroy the world because her world was destroyed too. It may seem edgy but it really isn't, way better presented than Unbound and with less words. And yeah it is a better remix of the base Fire Red in all elements. It is a vanilla game straight out of gen 3 and it shows, but somehow not shit like the first game is.

One of the story aspects was the disappearance of the main character sister, she was always talked about and was part of the plot. After defeating the bad guys she can come back to our world and finally we fight against her as the champion.

Since this is an older game in soul, I felt like I was overleveled in some parts of the game, and I was going to piss over the E4 with overleveled characters. However that wasn't the case. They were actually stronger than me (And I did grind a bit as I found late pokemon that I wanted to level up)

The elite four had Janine as poison type, a guitar hero as electric type, Austin (a character in the story) as normal type and a girl who used grass types.

And our sister as the champion.

This was my team of shitters:

Skelegon the rock/dragon
Ikari the water/steel
Furyon the fire/rock
Graag the ground/dragon
Shigoon the poison/steel
Uezari the psychic

As you can see, not balanced at all, however the game allows you to use pokemons from the 1-4 gens and also some beta and unused designs from the official games. The original chaos black was a shit game and most pokemon were just pallet swaps with other monsters, but that was the original monsters, so I decided to use at least half of them and picked them early in the game.

Now I am filled with other pokemon that looks very cool but quite late to use them, since the game isn't over after the E4, you go to other region to fight against another 6 gym leaders and a new champion to fight against.

Man, I am so surprised with this game since my last playthrough was Heart and Soul that is basically GS but in GBA and that was just the same boring experience of gen 2 but less shit. This games feels the same but with fire red. It is an improvement of the games and region that I hate that is Kanto. I may even look up what else the creator did, since he repairs problematic romhacks, maybe he can make other garbage shine too.
