A fucking shovelware title became one of the fastest-selling games on Steam and people still talk about it like it's an actual game instead of a scam like the rest of that studio's slop is.
Pokesimps will actually buy a 3/10 game + DLC for $120 because it has "Pokemon" in the name and say Palworld (a $30-flat game that has gotten two huge free content updates) is a scam with a straight face.

There were better Chinese knockoff Pokemon games on mobile, so it's not like the bar is super high either. Still remember when they were posted and /vp/ jannies were seething as they deleted all these posts for being "off topic". Pokemon fans have to be the dumbest consoomers on the planet, even worse than gacha cattle(which I guess is fitting since large amount of Pokemon fanbase ARE gacha slop enthusiasts ever since Masters came out).

I'm calling Palworld a scam because it is a literal asset flip from a company known for making early access asset flips. Palworld itself is like 85% Craftopia with some mobile-tier monster designs slapped on top. If that isn't a scam, then the Nigerian prince offering me millions for my credit card info isn't either. Don't be as stupid as /vp/ is and make this all about one franchise vs another.

Still better than SV, Sword and Shield and probably better than AZ. You can call it a scam all you want, most people don't care.

That new pocketmons vidya trailer is trending on Japan YT now, and seems to be the #1 trending vid.

"【公式】『Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A』2nd Trailer"

So far to me it looks just as crappy as SV, with those same crappy SJW-friendly character designs.

PS: And what's the point of having embeds on other sites if it's the "Video unavailable Watch on YouTube" BS seemingly half the time?

Which is the funniest thing really. Cause a lot of the stuff people praised Palworld for was in Pokemon. Pokemon fans rarely if every made use of them.

Pokemon has an odd habbit of never making the things people want front and center.

On REBURST again. 2 volumes to go...

Did you ever wonder what Crustle would look like if you removed all the strata? What kind of body is inside it? Also when they mate with other pokemon, do they have to fuck a fucking strata or the crustle puts out his pussy outside, what about the egg then?

So they can make artifical burst stones out of living pokemon for them to use. So far it was never clarified how the stones are made.

And the trio is also here

The manga is almost ending, I am intriged at how it is going to end and if we will see Kyurem or Reshiram bursts.

I do really hope that Region Forms start from base in this game.

It is getting frustrating having to transfer mons up from the older games just so the final form comes from the original games.
I just hope the starters get region forme evolutions like in PLA. or atleast megas? they could finally fix emboar's ugly bara furry self lol

I'm sorry. I don't think you understand. PLA was a GOOD THING. So now the Pokemon Company has to coast off that goodwill for the next installment by pulling back on features that made PLA a GOOD THING.

Seems to be a controversial opinion but i feel like Z-A looks better than pla from what we've seen (graphics-wise) It has less of that weird play-doh texture look that PLA had. for example the water seems to actually have a reflective texture like real water and doesnt just have a lazy texture over it. I'm hoping it being set in a city gives them an easier time making it look less butt-ugly? Im probably being way too optimistic though, i just want a good kalos game, dammit...

In FRR, I am currently Legendary hunting, like I was during the post game of Revelations Emerald. Like I said, I have 6 badges and am about to face Blaine, before I do I have an option to catch:
*Articuno
*Suicune(both are in the same cave)
*All three golems
*Zapdos(Raikout is probably here as well)
After Blaine, you take your first trip to Sevii Islands if you recall, and that's where Moltres(and Entei, probably) lives. As far as I understand it, Mewtwo is in the same cave as he always was and the rest are postgame material on the other half of Sevii Islands.

Honestly, I like this concept a lot. One of the big problems of Kanto based games is that for all the choices you had in the midgame to tackle objectives in whatever order you wanted, there weren't that much optional dungeons. Aside from the three birds and then Mewtwo, there weren't any Legendaries to speak of either, catching Mew via Missingno glitch doesn't count. This is fixed with a mod like FRR, and now I have endless team variety, even multiple Legendaries of various shapes and sizes if I want to catch them. The golems even have their own unique little areas, mimicking the chambers you find them in when you play RSE using FRLG assets. On top of that, you get all nine starters that third gen had by this point, with Cerulean City giving you gen 1 starters, Celadon letting you catch gen 2 starters once you unlock Strength TM(as well as Regirock), and once you can surf you not only unlock the gen 3 starters but also all the Legendary Pokemon I listed above. I like the large variety of teams I can make, I like being rewarded for going to high level dungeons and I like utilization of abilities the game gives you in a proper way, these are all good gameplay mechanics. I'm even starting to get used to the pre Physical/Special split mechanics, honestly the game is much better now that I know how it works and can switch gears with future movesets.

One thing I will say about Revelations is that one of the reasons it took me so long to finish that one was because the game just dumps a dozen different Legendaries at you post game and it kind of just loses the momentum at that point. You can't use most of them in Battle Frontier, what's the point? Dividing Legendaries so that you can use some of them during the main story as a reward for taming them earlier than you're supposed to is a nice touch, it makes capturing the uber Legendaries like Metwo and other box Legendaries feel more special later on, another good gameplay mechanic. Way too many Legendaries are saved for the post game, where they don't serve much of a purpose, RGB had it right when they made the Legendary Birds into optional dungeons and FRR only expands on that concept. Looking forward to finishing this Romhack so I can go proper Legendary hunting and capture as many of each Legendary as I can, so I can have proper competitive stats without being limited to one per game. Now that is a true endgame reward.

>a game being made from the bones of another is the same thing as literal theft because I don't like it

For the record, I don't give a shit if you dislike Palworld. Honestly, the whole ARK gameplay loop isn't quite for me and the monster grinding is the only thing it has going for it (gameplay-wise) in my opinion, but calling it a scam is retarded and emotional. I've played Craftopia, Palworld has nothing in common with it aside from the very most basic DNA and the obvious asset-store shit. They're not even made by the same team: Craftopia is somehow still dragging its gangrenous legs through the swamp of early access, getting updates here and there, while Palworld sits on its back and sips tea and gets backrubs from the publisher.

I'd kill for a look into that game's meeting room. It's gotta be like death row in there.

God I hate the new art direction. I don't know what to call it, but it's certainly worse than what we've had in the Sugimori era.
Also, why does A-Z look like a faggot now? I prefer the hobo look. Frankly, I just don't think Kalos has enough lore or nostalgia going for it to justify making this game, Isekai Diamond/Pearl with brand new Pokemon on the other hand was an awesome idea, especially with all the mythos of the region. Seems really forced, just dropping a next gen XY remake style Z game would have been better.
XY was the game with the most questions and mysteries surrounding it due to not having a sequel come out.

Well, there isn't an lot of open ended questions that I had about it, aside from why there's isn't an lot more backstory to an region who's only known for having an war or two several thousand years ago

In somewhat good news it appears that TPCi is paying attention to the nastiness surrounding their Pokémon Center vending machines and now enforcing purchase limits on products (previously their was an easily-circumvented $1k max on purchases but no limits on products) and randomized stock releases even after being restocked by vendors. I'm also hearing reports of store security guards kicking people out for loitering around the machines.

How would they track whether a customer had reached that limit? By payment method?
In that case, people will just show up with multiple different debit & credit cards. Maybe they'll even get a bunch of those prepaid Visa gift cards, so that TPC can't track their main cards and ban them.

The only other way to enforce the limit that I can think of would be to have an employee watch and intervene to stop people from using multiple cards—in which case, we're really defeating the point of it being an autonomous vending machine.

Basically the machine would display a product as being "sold out" when it isn't and still has product inside of it, the person who bought it just reached the limit of what the machine could sell at that point in time.

I did mention that the store's security guards would kick 'em out (and possibly have the managers ban them for doing it multiple times) for loitering.

Right, but what is the limit tied to? The payment method? The name on the payment method? Do they have some sort of face-tracking camera looking out from the machine?
It just seems like, with every method except for having a bouncer for your vending machine, there are clear work-arounds.
