Speaking of Pokémon Adventures, I'm still waiting for the Black and White boxset. Reeeeee where is it Viz reeeee.

The point is to remove cheap wins from doing retarded shit that exclusively wins because it catches people off guard. If you know what exactly the opponent has, then who wins comes down to a player's skill. Knowing a pokemon's moveset doesn't make a shitty player any more likely to win any more than having six Arceus on their team would.Holy shit, I thought team preview was bullshit. What is even the point in playing tournaments when the entire prediction part of the gameplay doesn't exist anymore? Is there a reason for doing it which isn't capitulating to the worst players who only play meta?
I just finished reading 2 manga adaptations of the movies (manaphy and shaymin). Kinda weird that some movies get full adaptations and others just get oneshot mangas on corocoro.Speaking of Pokémon Adventures, I'm still waiting for the Black and White boxset. Reeeeee where is it Viz reeeee.
What do you mean is back? It was completed long ago. (It completes the BW arc too)I should read Adventures Yellow again... And see how the B2W2 manga is doing, since it's back(?)
I mean, I get why they’ve done it - compared to “The Good Ol’ Days of Kanto” (sorry, default to Gen 1 whenever I hear Back in My Day related to Pokemon), there’s almost 10x the amount of Pokémon, before factoring in Regional forms changing some Pokemon’s types entirely. After a certain point, keeping tabs on what every Pokemon’s type matchup is becomes a nightmare.I kinda don't like how in the newer vidya, you're told what is super effective, not very effective, no effect, etc. "Back in my day", you had to memorize the type matchups.
I played a hackrom that indicated the matchup with the move names in colors (green being effective and red being weak). It was amazing since I still have trouble with fairy types and so on.I mean, I get why they’ve done it - compared to “The Good Ol’ Days of Kanto” (sorry, default to Gen 1 whenever I hear Back in My Day related to Pokemon), there’s almost 10x the amount of Pokémon, before factoring in Regional forms changing some Pokemon’s types entirely. This is a series that, at its core, is designed for children - sure, it’s mostly played by autistic adults, but kids today are even more retarded than we were. I can get giving them the training wheels for the Base Single Player game.
Much like the EXP Share though, it’s another one of those things where I wish there was a Setting to toggle it off, but I’m not expecting competence from GameFreak.
At least one can do that in Gen 6, which is the last generation I've kept up with.I wish there was a Setting to toggle it off, but I’m not expecting competence from GameFreak.

As for that memorizing thingy, one can usually guess what type a 'mon is by Gen 6.
Wasn't Gen 8 the first generation to go back to the old way of no Battle Tower or equivalent? It was in Gen 8 onward that removed being able to turn it off.

IIRC, Gen 7 also allowed you to turn EXP Share off. It was in Gen 8 onward that removed being able to turn it off.
how is that?it was super easy to facerolling levels
how is that?
I take it opponents don't use legendaries then?Legendaries and Mythicals can be used in the Galar Battle Tower, and considering how OP Zacian was in Gen 8...
Didn't play all mainline games, so YMMV, but to me it's Volo in PLA. When I put on the nostalgia goggles, then I guess Red on MT. Silver in GS.He was a retarded zoomer and that is alright, but in your opinion, what is the most difficult pokemon battle in official games? (and in romhacks, just for fun)
