He does get Swarm as an ability but that does rely on him surviving long enough to be useful.

Hmm so they planned to have a Mew like being that played off rumour like in Gen 1. Maburon doc seems to be missing.

The bits that weren't scrapped seem to have been absorbed into Vivilion.

The release evo is kinda cool? So it'd be like a roaming legendary you let go? I wonder if it'd be angsty against you.

Issue is the fact that Hidden Power did nothing when it clearly should have done something different based on the letter. And considering you find Smeargle nearby, they were obvious willing to get nutty with move pools.

They should have gone all in on Unknown and given it a variable move set determined by its letter and your trainer ID. Have it learn a new move every several levels, but each player's experience with each individual letter will be vastly different because each letter for each trainer will be static, but random. With enough leveling and a small amount of luck you'll get some interesting move combinations.

Fuck it, give it slightly better stats so it's got the potential to actually do something and make the type randomized as well. There's no reason that it should be locked into the psychic type. Let the type be entirely random so if you come across a Letter with moves that cater to a specific type you can grind out for an Unknown of that letter with a type that benefits it.

If I remember correctly, at least in Gen 2, Unown's form and Hidden Power's type and strength were both determined by its IV's, so technically the different letters DID have slightly different functionality and effect from each other. This is why you could only find shiny "I" and "V" letters, because shinyness was based on IV's as well (the letters are a coincedence).

Its true, I remember JRose11 kept resetting for an Unown K for a decent strength Psychic hidden power.

Ledian's dilemma:
Has a good physical movepool and Iron Fist as a HA, but has a shit attack stat.
Special attack is higher (at a pathetic 55, rofl), but it's got a shit special movepool.
Highest stat is special defense, but Bug/Flying is such a shit type that its defense stats don't matter.

Having some slight color variation amoung individual Pokemon would be cool. Like finding 3 Haxorus and one has a golden armor, the other has it more greenish, and the last one has a more orange tint. It'd be pretty hard to tell some shinies like Glaceon and Garchomp apart from these variants, but it'd still be neat.

I like Octillery because it's like the pokemon version of Octorok. Now it's ruined because of some horndog couldn't resist the urge.

The peacock pokemon was really pretty. Much better than Quaquaval, who just looks like Pavé from Animal Crossing's much gayer cousin. I know Quaquaval is supposed to be a dancer. But it's literally doing the limp wristed thing as its default pose. When I saw Quaxley I was hoping for something like a giant prehistoric bird because I had already seen skeledirge and it looks like a crocodile so I was hoping for the theme to follow through. Instead we get gay as fuck peacock and furry cat waifu.

I went with Sprigatito because cat. But just like with Litten instead of becoming something cool it became a furry. I really hate this trend of furbait final evolutions. Litten had so much potential to draw from mythology and prehistoric cats. Scorbunny is cute. But I don't even want to think about the feetfag stuff that probably hovers around that line.

Puzzle & Dragons has evolutions that turn a monster back into a super powered version of its original form. So you can go back to being a cute baby dragon or unfurfag the carbuncle line. It would be cool if Pokemon had something like this. It might screw up the balance though. But they could use it as a temporary gimmick like the terastalizing and gigantamaxing.

Probably just colours, one of them is desert aswell and in one of the pics I posted above, they spoke about how they wanted Pokemon to have differences visually between trainers so it feels like your Pokémon (they gave the examplenof Spinda and I mentioned Vivilion). It seems to be a lot of effort though for something like Noivern to really feel unique and not just a form (every Sunday has different patterns on it).

I suppose they could do like Stadium where nicknamed pokemon could have a different hue to normal, but autogenerated colours will end up with some fuck ugly options.

Not that fussed on a lot of them but Venusaur looks pretty cool. I hate how small the tree on his back looks in 3D

I guess it's not that different but it just doesn't look anywhere near as cool. Then again, Ken Sugomori art for the pokemon is objectively the best (...sans some TCG designs...)

Design wise ariados comes way above ledian. Probably bellossom worst gen 2 mon design wise. Could be any cartoon flower thing, nothing special about it.
Lilligant is bellossom done right.

Competitive the spider is worse than beedrill.
