USUM is pretty damn good, I would say go for. The start is always a pain but that's the case for both Gen 7 games. I suggest thinking about your team and strategy while you're doing the tutorial shit at the start.

Just like Gen 4 has all this stuff with the elder gods(and pokephillia) it seems Gen 3 was all about ancient Greece and Atlantis. The Weather Trio, Sootopolis, Latis, Metagross, The Golems, the "Ancient Race" of sea dwellers, even the Toga on that Blaziken concept art makes sense now. BTW Anime did have several arcs and lore related to not-Atlantis, in case people still don't believe me.

It should be noted that the story of SwSh is so inconsistent and filled with plotholes that it's safe to say that it is the most incomplete and rushed Pokemon game, period. They likely had a grand plan for a story and the existing characters and it was all scrapped, leaving us scratching our heads at what the fuck Rose is doing. The whole energy crisis and him needing to do solve it right now probably made a lot more sense to Gamefreak, who had the missing puzzle pieces, but to us it looks retarded. I would wager it had something to do with the Dynamax feature, as there is several points in the game when it hints that you might have to do random wild/horde battles against randomly Dynamaxed rampaging Pokemon...and then you don't, since the game isn't complete. You don't even get to use Dynamax outside gyms and various story bits, making the gimmick feel even more useless, at least Megas and Z-Crystals could be used at any time.

Doesn't really matter to me, Rose is such a non-villain and the rest of the story and worldbuilding so gobshite that they might as well not have bothered. They should have went back to the storytelling of Gen 1 and 2 where you're just a kid doing Pokemon League stuff with the occasional interference from Team Yell. No world ending stuff, no climate change, none of that shit, just give us Galar League lore and focus on standalone stories within your cities.

What’s frustrating is because of the UK football theme nature of the game and needing to get sponsored to even hang in the league, to say nothing of the big leagues, they could have absolutely just focused on the league. Especially when all the characters are focused on it.

As is Rose and the end of the world feels tacked on to a plot about a pro’s brother getting crushed and you and the pro desperately trying to knock sense into him.

They must have seen the success they had with the fake out Team Skull and Aether Corporation had in Gen 7, so they decided to do it again for Team Yell in Gen 8...and Team Star in Gen 9. Team Star is such a non factor I wouldn't even consider them a villain team at all, everything about them is extremely cringe. Thank goodness I never plan on playing gen 9.
Speaking of the pokephilia leaks, I would say the damage is done. Nobody cares if there was mistranslation or not, Typhlosion/Slaking are always going to be rapists and Lapras/Octillery will always be horndogs wanting human dick. All this will do is lead to redditors and other retards screeching about you being a "4chan chud" or whatever, before promptly being ignored and spammed with porn knowing /vp/. The personalities of those Pokemon are already written in stone and so are their memes.
Should have "corrected the record" a couple days ago when it would have mattered, buddy!

Very possible that the Town Retard running the site fucked up the date, but I can't find any other source even talking about this (all the GO-related sources don't mention "more details") so he's all I have to go off of.

did you play the dlc? he was always a douche. his personality in kitakami is depression-induced. he becomes very angry that you're better than him at pokemon. he's the classic angry rival, but he takes it too far (in story) and is punished for his behavior. the lore with drayton and him is pretty good.

Remember, the whole thing is highly triggering to them, for some reason(then again, what isn't?). It's more likely somebody made up a bunch of bullshit, said "trust the science" and tried deboonking, as is so common on social media and by journos these days.
Pokephilia is still canon and Typhlosion is still a groomer, you can split hairs and shout about it till you're hoarse and blue in the face but that won't change anything.
If anything, this will make normalfags even angrier because they will think that "the science is settled" without doing any further research or translating and will make them more likely to start spam/flamewars in retaliation. Mockery and laughing at them is still the preferred method of dealing with them, not taking them seriously.

I never understood Remoraid and Octillery until I saw the beta. Nothing about their design says "gun" or "cannon." We were truly robbed with them...
