If you want to take the leak myths as valid, at some point in time all Pokémon seemingly had the power to change between human and Pokémon form, not just these Yokai variants.

That is very interesting.. It would make a little more sense the other way around, since i was humans evolving away from the others.. but when you factor in the Mew being the precursor and his abilities to transform. It would make some sense.

I'm an oldschool guy who prefers real hardware, much more dependable than software and works better too. Nothing like having a whole collection of SD carts and several backup R4 cards, and an entire DS collection that can literally fit in your pocket. Fan games, homebrew, emulators and romhacks included btw.

A modded DSi or 3DS aren't exactly any different. You still run stuff from the SD card and have all the same extra stuff. I'd argue softmodding is more reliable, you have one less factor to deal with. I too ran R4 for good years, an official piece from a reputable seller before the market was flooded with jank clones. Never ran as well or as smoothly as a softmodded console.

Biggest reason BW got so much hate was because the fans were shitting themselves over not being able to use Pikachu or Charizard again(and bringing old Pokemon back was one of the biggest marketing points of BW2 as well). The other was mocking some of the designs of the new Pokemon, like the garbage bag or the ice cream cone. Seeing some of the later designs, which these same people were slobbering over because "Gamefreak redeemed themselves!"(By giving me more Charizard and Pikachu) is hilarious.

Nu-genners love to use this as some sort of strawman gotcha against OG fans. The reality is that Game Freak struck an effective balance between old and new Pokemon for gen 2, then again in gen 3, then again in gen 4. Then for gen 5, they decided to completely throw out all old Pokemon for some reason. When people complained, their response was “what’s that? you only want us to focus on the first generation and nothing else?? YOU GOT IT” instead of just going back to the formula that had already worked for three generations in a row. Then autists on /vp/ acted like it was somehow gen 1 fans’ fault for the next decade.

You can always trade in your Pikachu or Charizard on your second playthru, as long as you have one completed save file with a Poke Transfer. People make fun of genwunners because they shit themselves over having to do one, singular run without their precious little shitmons.

The Pokemon in BW are alright btw. They perfectly balance out one another and you can easily just use the Unovan dex without a problem. People who complain about being forced to use them don't know how to play the game or didn't even play BW to begin with. Whilst not playing too big of a major role in the story, Team Constrictor (specifically their leader), volunteer in regards to a special team formation in preparation for searching Team A.C.T. when they don't return from their mission to Magma Cavern.

However she, alongside the other two that volunteered, return empty handed and claim that the dungeon was too hard for them.

Their leader, being an Octillery, is the second to offer her services in finding Alakazam and the others, claiming that when she sees a tough Pokémon, she would want to "...tangle with them."

You mean to tell me you WOULDN'T want to encounter a giant woman that you can look up her skirt?
