Also despite all this if you choose girl the rival still goes "oh you're a girl, I thought Norman's virile gym leader seed would only produce MEN" or whatever

I only ever play as the male “model” because I do not respect Brendan as a rival. Canonically he chooses Treecko, the second in a series of loud, wet shits that make up the lineage of Grass starters all the way up until Contrary Serperior and Grassy Surge Rillaboom. He chooses it over Mudkip and Torchic, which is like choosing Jake Paul over Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali. He is a moron and a sandal-licker and I will not suffer him when May is right there.

I want to counter this by pointing out Grovyle is by far the best looking middle stage starter to date.

Of course Sceptile looks like hot garbage and deserved a second typing... But at least for a small portion of the game you have a cool grass type. They should have leaned more into the dinosaur inspirations with that last stage, it was already basically a velociraptor.

I quit after about 30 (sped-up) hours. I beat the eight gym leaders, then the elite four, then the champion who is actually the professor, then the game says “CONGRATULATIONS YOU DID IT!!!… just kidding theres more :)” and I lost immediately after because why the fuck would you prepare for anything beyond the final boss that plays final boss music? So fuck it, I’m done.
 
Finally started playing Gen 9 and I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. The performance is dogshit as expected, but looking past that (not that I'd blame anyone if they couldn't) it's actually a lot of fun.

Started a new emerald hackrom (third straight) called Hoenn Adventures. It improves the map with NDS style graphics and gives more life to it, but there are stuff like no auto run mode and no physical special split... If we could just have one who mixes it all....


Started with Treecko this time and holy shit I fucking love Sceptile, I will not allow slander to the chill gecko
 
Man this hack that I am playing uses HM and after 2 hacks that didnt use HM, the freedom to use a good team was great, now I am stuck with a shitty hm slave. And holy shit, I had to use an egg squirtle since almost half of the game and no aquatic mons other than tentacools and winguls on the water

Serebii's been as quiet as ever so I know it wasn't anything major, he's just been blabbing about Cafe Remix and Uniteshit for the past few days. Is that all they presented there? The Tencent MOBA and your grandma's favorite pasttime?
 
Personal updates about Hoenn Adventures. Now imagine altering sonmething in the story and code that depending of the player answer, it would cause your game to softlock.

They fucking did it. You know the devon scope to show the fucking chameleon to pass both gyms and the bridge? The idiots that made the hack fucking softlock their own game. I only found out because I googled into it. Gonna drop the game because fuck those devs.

And this was my team, as you can see, even before gym 7, it was a tad overleveld, but not my much (10 levels) since this hack is kinda retarded (they alter so many things but I still had limitations on the fucking backpack and the exp share would just copy all experience towards all members, including all the bonus exp from Lucky egg.

I was really liking the map but the game was so vanilla emerald with all the faults and shitty moveset from base emerald it hurts (lvl 80 swallow and I still used wing attack since it was literally the same shit with my other best flying move aerial ace.

If only hackrom devfags werent complete retards and would share their code to create a best hack, instead of being turbo autists and hide their code.

Edit: you know what is worse? Since I cant pass, I thought about using cheats go get the item or walk through walls but none work. Fucking a
