I got both. Though I'm playing through Moon first.

WishiWashi's school form is one of my new favorite water types. Nothing can ever replace Lanturn in my heart, but it's close.

So, I made a few changes to the team.

I've got Rio the Decidueye, who's currently my emergency-button Poke'mon when shit's hitting the fan since he's the highest level.
Kujo the Midnight-Lycanroc who's a surprisingly good heavy hitter with 93 attack at level 32; a successful Counter pretty much bodies anything.
Andraste the Salandit who is proving underwhelming but I'm trying to get her to evolve and see if she gets better. Right now she's too frail.
Yeto the Crabrawler is still around because I got attached and I think I'm on the Island where I can get him to evolve. I'll have to double-check my resources but I'm pretty sure I'm near the area where you level him up to evolve him. He's been super helpful with Power-Up Punch too.
Konchu the Golisopod isn't terrible, but I don't care for the ability. It's wimp out under a new name. But STAB First Impression is admittedly amazing.
and Malua the Pikachu who will soon be an Alolan Raichu. Haven't used her in battle because she's not up to level yet.

Konchu and Malua are currently stand-ins until I get Cosmog and when I get to the final Island where I can finally evolve Charjabug. Friggin' Nintendo making an early accessible Poke'mon have a late-game evolution since it's location based like Crabrawler.

Woke up this morning to find that some nice Japanese person traded me a Ditto on GTS. I'm currently stockpiling Wimpod and Feebas eggs while I try to trade for a Vulpix, but I'm optimistic that by tonight I'll have Vulpix eggs for anyone that wants them.

I can't believe how disappointing Salandit turned out to be. I thought the Poison/Fire type was so cool and helpful because its so hard for me to pick a Fire Type even though I consider them essential to my Six-Slot team. This looked so cool at first, and I anticipated its evolution.

Design-wise, its cool, but come on! Only females? It made sense with Combee but.... what!? And it still has a decent-looking movepool, but I've heard how bad its stats are as well.

Discouraging to say the least. Hope I can find a sensible Fire Type to use.

You've heard wrong, Salazzle or however its spelled is a beast. High speed, high SpA. Grab a modest one and you're set.

Appreciated. Just to confirm, you trade through the festival plaza thing right?
That is correct.

Had the worst SOS battle. Encountered a wild Beldum, got it to the red and put my Decidueye out so that it couldn't hurt itself with Take Down because I wanted to catch it.

Fucker had seven successful calls for help before killing itself with Struggle.

Spoilers for the main story:
Ready to face the Elite Four now. I beat the Nihelgo-possessed Lusamine with: lv. 52 Magnezone (Electrium Z - I used this with Totem Clefable out of desperation), lv. 57 Primarina (Primarium Z), lv. 48 Arcanine (Firium Z), lv. 52 Greninja (Darkinium Z) and lv. 49 Dugtrio (Groundium Z). I had a lv. 44 Zygarde, but he didn't fight. I went into this, and many other fights, blindly without knowing what was coming. I used quite a few Hyper Potions with Milotic using Hydro Pump and Clefable's Metronome (it kept using Moonlight to heal, and I thought the damn battle would never be over). I managed to keep most of my party alive, which astounded me. I'll need to train and go back to the trainers I skipped along the Vast Poni Canyon.

My Primarina has been a godsend throughout the main game. He has a quiet nature, so his special attack is even higher. Compensated for the speed issue through the Battle Table in Festival Plaza. I managed to get Lunala through a Timer Ball after a series of Ultra Balls failed.

Slowly slogging my way through.

Work hasme in a bind, butI am enjoying everybit othe game.

Currently have 5 Alola Vulpix (and 6 eggs, in case you want to hatch one of your own), all females. Please let me know if you want one because I'll be around for the rest of the night. I can also breed up Mimikyu for people, I understand that's a hot item too. FC is 0232-8027-7992, or just PM me or something.

I'm in the middle of fighting in the Aether Foundation and in a double battle with Hau as my partner, and his Primarina has KO'd two of my Poke'mon with a Z-Move and Sparkling Aria.

Legit pissed about Hau's incompetence.

I wish they'd go back to being fucking rivals and not friends. Bitch(nintendo) I can be friends with my rivals too, I would've preferred Gladion as the rival tbh. His personality is perfect for it, but no, we got stupid fucking Hau.

Literally anything would've been better than Hau.

/vp/ has such a hateboner for Hau it's amazing. Someone has been posting a thread everyday that ends with him (in character) asking to get down on the floor and slurp up the MC's cum.

My team to date:
  • Mazzetti the Incineroar: Strong and bulky. Slow due to skipping leg day and cardio, but he can take hits like a champ and bite back with Leech Life.
  • Blossom the Ribombee: Fast but frail special attacker. So long as she doesn't go against anything she's weak to, she can survive most attacks and get back her HP the next turn with Draining Kiss boosted with Big Root. May be replaced with Mimikyu.
  • Neapolitan the Bewear: The tank. Hits like a truck and has good move coverage. Too bad the TMs for the moves I want to teach her are still an island away. May be replaced with Kommo-o.
  • Atlas the Mareanie: Named so for his "Zap em then whack em" technique. Merciless ability makes Toxic+Venoshock a wicked combo. Can't wait until he evolves and turns into a solid brick wall.
  • Solar the Raichu: Similar to Blossom, fast but frail special attacker.
  • Kujo the Midnight Lycanroc: Ol' faithful, a solid physical attacker. Sadly I had to drop Counter (at least for the story playthrough) because the fucker wouldn't stop dodging oncoming attacks.

Finally got my grubby mitts on a Jangmo-o! Why did these cuties have to be so late game ugh.

So he's been slapped onto the team. Replaced my Crabrawler because turns out even though I was on the Island where I could evolve him, I couldn't access the specific area in order to do so but OH WELL I wanted the samurai dragon more anyways. Now I just have to level grind him up to match the rest of the team before I fall into the presumably final trial of the game.

Team Update at Tapu Village!

Cornelius the Decidueye - I finally have my Robin Hood birb! Haven't used him yet as a Decidueye but I have high hopes for Spirit Shackle...I hope it's not too gimmicky a move, because I'd hate to get rid of it. At least his attack stat is on par with the rest of the team now.

Akela the Midday Lycanroc - Very fast doggo moving at hihg speed. Trap setter. Bird slayer. Her move set is kind of shallow right now but I plan to greatly improve on that in the future. As of right now, she's permanent until proven otherwise, because she's one of my fastest and hardest hitting members.

Rozene the Mudsdale - Look at my horse, my horse is amazing. Basically covers everything Akela can't. She takes it slow but she can sure roll with the punches, and as I've mentioned earlier, Stamina pairs well with her already awesome defense and HP. Still worried about Grass and Water types with her, but now that she's evolved she's shrugged off some pretty serious hits, so it might not be too much of an issue.

Nuru the Passimian - I am actually pleasantly surprised by Passimian, mainly because she's not completely useless outside of Doubles. Sure, Receiver does nothing in Singles, but it doesn't hinder her either. She takes a hit, doles it out, and gets some pretty good moves on level up like Beat Up (Okay, not that strong, but it's guaranteed six hits as long as I keep a full party and those little chips add up.) and Thrash. Unfortunately, I will still replace her with a Jangmo-o once I get to that island, but she's been a good replacement for Brinley and she'all definitely do for now.

Ginso the Golisopod - I like Golisopod. I like it a lot. Emergency Exit gets annoying when I'm trying to catch wild Pokemon, but that's a minor drawback compared to the benefits of having this hulking beast Sucker Punch his way through everyone's shit. Also, I am hopping on the First Impression bandwagon too, because damn does it hurt.

Jezebel the Salazzle - She is my lone fire type and I love her for it. She kind of has a useless nature so I feel her potential isn't quite up there, but she's still quite the nice addition to my stable. Not to mention, I love abusing the Corrosion mechanic and just poisoning the shit out of everything I see. Yes I know it's inefficient. Does it look like I care?

Really looking forward to snagging a Jangmo-o of my own! Hopefully level grinding won't be a huge pain in the ass (especially since, apparently, you don't get the Lucky Egg until the postgame).

Oh, and I stumbled upon something interesting! Rainbow Pokebeans raise affection by two whole hearts! You can get them from Poke Pelago, although they are pretty rare. You have a higher chance of getting them if you level up the island. So basically, you can max out a Pokemon's affection just by giving it two Rainbow Beans (as you can get the first heart just by petting it). Having max affection definitely has a lot of benefits.
  • 1 Heart: Nothing
  • 2 Hearts: Experience gained in each battle is boosted by 20%
  • 3 Hearts: If the Pokémon was to be knocked out, it has a chance of surviving with 1 Hit Point - Chance increases the higher the affection
  • 4 Hearts: May evade the opponent's attacks; May cure itself of status conditions (Chance increases the higher the affection)
  • 5 Hearts: Higher chance of Critical Hits

I've competed Moon up to right before the Elite Four, and I've caught the ice sandshrews + bred an army of traded ice foxes looking for the perfect stats. If any of you who are further behind (non-insomniacs lol) want to trade for a late-game mon, let me know (PM me your friend code and requests!) I'll try to set you up.
And please say thank you to my cat, who kept me up until 4:30AM in the morning and allowed me to get this far ahead this early.

Btw, can you still trade eggs in the new games and have them hatch with the recepient as the OT? I could totally breed some mons and send eggs if somebody wants one due to lack of badges or whatever.
