My favorites in my team so far:

Decidueye, I really need to name him, I was planning on naming him beans when he was a tiny little Rowlet but I didn't find the name rater in time to change it, now I'm thinking Blathers. He's a fucking beast though, I love him so much.

My Alolan Raticate Boo, she's saved me from the brink a few times, I adore her and just want to pinch her chubby cheeks. I never thought I'd be using a raticate tbh but 30 levels later and I don't want to box her.

My Midnight!Lycanroc Lumi, she's fantastic and I love her to bits. I've never really used rock pokemon much, I like cute pokemon and most of the rock types never really fit the bill, I think I really like using them now though.

I just got my Mimikyu, I named her Pikaboo, but now I have to get out and use her. I already love her though.

I don't care much for Salazzle but I need a fire type so I guess I'm stuck with her for the moment.

SuMo is really great so far. Just finished the Electirium trial.

My Grubbin/Charjabug has been a complete fucking hero all game. I never thought I would keep that phone charger but I've gotten really attached.

I've just started the second island and my current team consists of:

Blue the Brionne, I actually haven't used him as much as the rest of my team since he was massively overleveled for much of the first island. Speed was a problem early on, but after getting the Quick Claw and Aqua Jet that's not really a problem anymore.

Buzzy Beetle the Charjabug, probably my second favorite team member. He's got good bulk and attack, even without the evolite yet, and has the most diverse moveset of my team so far.

Slimmer the Grimmer, originally only a stand in to nuke fairy types, he's turned into my favorite team member. While unfortunately he has the least diverse moveset on my team, access to two STAB moves, Poison Gas, and Minimize has made up for it.

Tucan Sammi the Trumbeak, another team member who was originally a stand in, but will probably stick around. Good attack and speed compared to the rest of my team.

#MAGA the Yungoos, a little underused, but has consistently earned her spot on the team. She's going to Make Alola Great Again.

Punchy the Crabrawler is the newest member of my team, and will probably be a rotating team member once I start getting access to other Pokemon on my wanted list.

I just have to mention this because it's irrationally pissing me off.

Hyper Potions are now 1,500 Pokedollars (300 more than in the previous seven generations) and now only heals 120 HP (way down from the 200 HP previously). So basically, they're 300 dollars more expensive and yet heal 80 less HP. What the fuck, Nintendo? I noticed that Ultra Balls are now only 800 Pokedollars, though, so that's nice.

As for my team, the only ones set in stone right now are my (female) Brionne (almost a Primarina now), Growlithe, and Steenee (almost a Tsareena). I'm really trying to find other Pokemon to fill my team out but nothing is really grabbing me.

I got Moon on Friday morning.

I'm at the fourth island and in the middle of the plot with the legendaries and the antagonist.
I've already cleared most trials, some of which were pretty difficult. I hated the Electric one, mostly because I hate Electric and Bug types and of course the damn totem was some gross electric bug thing. Overall I like the new trial form, it's a nice change from the old gym format.
I like how they replaced HMs with the Ride animals too.
The unskippable cutscenes are annoying and I want to slap the shit out of Hau.

I'm trying to build an all-Ghost team like I always do. I haven't gotten around to capturing Mimikyu yet, though. My current team mostly has ghost and dark types, plus good ol' Zygarde, and one of whatever type at the moment.

Team right now:
-OwliverQueen the Decidueye - Jack-of-all-trades
-Toucan Sam the Toucannon - Primary physical attacker
-BeetleBailey the Vikavolt - Primary special attacker
-Garmfield the Alolan Persian - Primary Speedster
-Acid Trip the Alolan Muk - Primary Tanm
-Wimpy Wilson the Golisopod - Primary fuck-you-I-have-priority-and-healing(Not really a role, but damn is spamming First Impression followed by Sucker Punch or Leech Life fun)

Got a Mimikyu from the GTS, it's as unbearably cute as you'd expect.

It seems to be a good 'mon too, with great typing and an interesting ability. I expect it'll be a good asset for my Ghost team.

How do you guys feel about SOS battles? Personally, so far I think they're annoying as fuck because I keep weakening a Pokemon to catch it, only to have it call for help; then I have to knock the help out before I can even attempt to catch my target. In the worst case, a Pokemon called for help three times before I was finally able to catch it.

I think it should have been an ability only Totem Pokemon had. It adds to the challenge and really makes them feel like the boss of the area. At the very least non-Totem Pokemon should only be able to call for help once and the helper shouldn't be able to call for help. Nobody wants to get stuck fighting five Salandits in a row.

I will probably have my 3DS and Pokemon Moon by Christmas. I will get my sister to order them for Cyber Monday, thats usually when my family does Holiday shopping.

I know my sweet Icy and White Vulpix isn't in there but I'll just seek one out. I want Lycanroc on my team and I like the Nighttime version better. Not to mention Drampa and Goomy-line are Moon exclusives, no disrespect to Turtonator.

And when I break out into the competetive play scene, don't trample all over me now. I've never touched "IV Training" and etc, and probably won't ever care.
I'm sure someone on here will trade you one.

Jumpin on the bandwagon
Tao the Incineroar part of my twin perma primary duos
Croa the Crobat cause I love the fuck out of zubat

On rotation for third is Cutter the Fomantis
andAlolan Raichu

other three are leveler positions for evolutionary reasons

SOS battles: Either make it so that it's impossible to call again for ~4 moves after you try or you can't call on the same turn that another Pokemon gets KO'd. Adrenaline orbs negate this rule. That's all, problem solved. Remember that some Pokemon can only be caught via SOS battles and such, so they can't compltely nerf it.

Also, how far down does that Team Skull Admin chick's tattoo go....?

Just beat the League.

The Elite Four are the four island chiefs, so Fighting, Rock, Ghost and Flying. Not too hard.
The Champion is pretty tough, and he uses pokémon of many different types, so it's probably a good idea to have pokes over level 60. His pokémon are Ninetakes, Snorlax, Braviary, Magnezone, Rockruff's final evo Lycanrock, and the final evo of the starter that's strong against yours.
My pokes were underlevelled because I kinda rushed through the game and I had a pretty rough time, had to use Revives several times and shit.

After you beat the Champion, there's several annoyingly long cutscenes about the power of friendship or whatever, and of course you can't skip through these.

Hau still makes me want to drop-kick him off a cliff, the insufferable little spastic.

I like them. Only problem is that you can't throw a ball when fighting two Pokemon.
Incidentally, SOS battles are how you chain shinies, high IVs and Hidden Abilities now.

I'm still in the early early game, but somehow I've managed to only catch female Pokémon. Even my starter and the Mystery Gift Munchlax were female.

I also got Sun.

On a random note, have you seen what happens when you spin your character in place?
