Anybody know when you get access to Poke Pelago? I've been seeing conflicting stuff online and no concrete answers.

Second island I believe. That's when it showed up and when I could access it in Moon.

I'd recommend you get a Bewear for the main game. 125 base attack and 80 base defense, with that ability, means it'll be an amazing attacker and physical wall after one Bulk Up.
I've also been trying out Porygon-Z in the aftergame. Conversion-Z raises all of Porygon's stats, in addition to its normal effect. It's pretty crazy, given that it solves Porygon-Z's low bulk and Speed problems, and increases its already high Special Attack.

My main game team is currently and my rating of how good/shit they are from a perspective of the main game:
-Primarina (P good, it's speed is poopy but early on it learns aqua jet which is great until it can learn a good special water move)
-Toucannon (My babe, real good physical attack, basically the backbone of my team)
-Ribombee (Not amazing but speedy and has a good attack for double battles that can heal allies if used on allies and damage the opponent if used on the opponent)
-Oranguru (I got this one because HA HA HA HARAMBE but skip this one for the main game, he has good sp def, he's not offensively oriented)
-Sandyghast (Just got this one, can't tell you shit about it)

Also getting exeggutor because funny tree ha ha

Oh we'll just see. I'll cuck you with some other pokemen

ok but seriously. Lilli is adorable but Hau is the most boring rival ever. Seeing him makes me fucking YAWN.
Gladion makes up for all that imo. And honestly Hau's interactions with other people raise him up above the other 'friendly' rivals for me. I wasn't expecting the characters to be so entertaining and endearing.

So I got into the mall on Melemele Island after I completed the first trial, and I went to the Antiquities of the Ages shop.
I'm really curious as to whether the orbs sold there (and possibly, the gracidae flower given away at the clothing store) point to certain legendaries that will be caught in-game or will be available again via Mystery Gift.

I've really enjoyed Brionne's special attack and HP. Does this trend continue to Primarina?

Yeah, Primarina is a decent special attacker

My team right now

-OwliverQueen the Decidueye - Overall well-rounded Pokemon, highest leveled member
-Toucan Sam the Toucannon - Primary physical attacker, it has so many wacky moves to use
-BeetleBailey the Charjabug - Currently a tank with Evolite, special attacker after evolving
-Garmfield the Alolan Persian - The speedy team member, since the rest of my team is slow
-Temp Member Acid Trip the Alolan Grimer - Came with a Black Sludge for tanking power
-Temp Member Hanson the Alolan Diglett - Fast and frail, not much else.

the Temp members are just Pokemon I'm trying to evolve

I only just beat the fourth trial, Mallow's, and also got my ass handed to me (Lurantis with a Sunny Day Castform was not good for my team at all) but so far my team consists of Dartrix, Chargabug, Rockruff, Salandit, Crabrawler, and Wimpod.

I'm trying to evolve Chargabug, Salandit, and Rockruff right now. I want to see how good Wimpod's evolution is, too, before deciding between him and Vikavolt. Crabrawler is currently a temporary member for coverage though he is growing on me. Still going to drop him for Jangmo-o when I come across the things.

Let me down slow, is Pyukumuku garbage? ;;

Absolutely no physical moves except Bide and Counter, but I've heard it compared to Shuckle so it might not suck total ass.

As for me, here's my team now that I spent nearly all day playing like the sped I am:

- Cornelius the Dartrix: He's alright. Not overly powerful but I've made it work. The thing that hampers him most is his speed. Why are all the Alolan starters so slow? :(

- Akela the Rockruff: She's about to evolve, which is good. I can't wait until I get my priority rock move and the speed boost, so all those flying types can run screaming from me.

-Rozene the Mudbray: Stamina is fucking amazing. Mudbray already has the stats to take a hit, and Stamina works no matter if the move that connects is special or physical...even thought it only boosts Defense, so she's still out of luck with Grass types. Not to mention, Mudbray's a decent physical attacker too. She's actually the only one I don't mind is slow, because she's decently tanked hits before. Can't wait until she evolves.

Brinley the Crabrawler: Actually about to replace her with a Wimpod, because I need a Water type. But for what it's worth, she's served me well thus far. Decent attack, has the HP to take a hit, but not much else to write home about.

Jezebel the Salandit: Salandit is very underwhelming, I'll have to admit. She's about my fastest team member thus far, but it doesn't help because her other stats are shit and she can't survive more than a couple hits unless she's resistant to the move. She's level 24 now, and I have to wait until level 33 until she's of any use whatsoever. I guess the good thing about her is that at least I found her rather quickly, skewed gender ratio aside. She was literally the second Salandit I found.

Edit: Forgot Leopold the Fomantis! He's decent too, and after the fourth trial I know I'm keeping him because good god Lurantis is strong.

I will probably have my 3DS and Pokemon Moon by Christmas. I will get my sister to order them for Cyber Monday, thats usually when my family does Holiday shopping.

I know my sweet Icy and White Vulpix isn't in there but I'll just seek one out. I want Lycanroc on my team and I like the Nighttime version better. Not to mention Drampa and Goomy-line are Moon exclusives, no disrespect to Turtonator.

And when I break out into the competetive play scene, don't trample all over me now. I've never touched "IV Training" and etc, and probably won't ever care.

Shuckle is terrible competitively, in both Smogon and the official VGC format, I don't think anything would want to be compared to it. It's faults lie that its HP is so low it negates most of its defenses, it lacks any form of recovery outside of Rest(very important for a tanky Pokemon), and is completely passive to the point that using Boosting moves in front of it is a non-risk, the most it can do is Encore and switch out.

Anyways Pyukumuku, like Wobbuffet and Shuckle before it, is completely useless for ingame-runs, unless you REALLY like wasting a lot of turns sitting around.

It's HP is low enough that Innards Out will rarely score a kill, so it's Hidden ability Unaware is generally better, because then using boosting moves in front of it doesn't effect its ability to take hits(Something it has over Shuckle for sure). It also has access to Recover, which is something both Wob and shuckle would kill for(if they were capable of killing and not doing fuckall)

It's best utility lies in the double's format, since it can heal an ally of status with its signature move Purify which also restores its own HP after use. Still not top tier by any means, but a nifty support Pokemon that can help the team out.

Has anyone else talked to the Magmars upstairs in the Old West town yet? They'll give you a free item, and their text is... interesting. And hilarious, but not really appropriate for a children's video game. lol
