You can actually go all the way back to Gen 1, if you have the proper set up.

Theoretically, it's entirely possible now to transfer a pokemon all the way from Gen 1, to the current gen. Pretty weird.

I was referring to officially sanctioned transferring. Plus unless you get rid of the 1st and 2nd gen exclusive moves(And sometimes a few other modifications), Pokebank won't let you transfer then from 5th gen to 6th gen.

To people discussing framerate drops - I have a New 3DS and still get some during double battles and stuff.

Just a heads up for those trying to catch an early Smeargle: if you switch to another pokemon on the first turn, its Sketch will fail and it will just struggle from then on out. This lets you get Sketch without having to wait for it via level/Move Relearner.

So, is anyone going to be breeding extra starters? I can't decide between litten and rowlet. I'd be willing to give one of whatever I choose, or an ice vulpix, to someone willing to trade.

I cam home to find my copy of Moon arrived. I'll be spending the rest of my evening vegging out and playing this.

I can breed my Rowlet whenever I get to the point of being able to. If anyone ever needs one they're free to ask me for one.

Gonna see if I can buy Moon tomorrow, have to go shopping for birthday presents anyway so it actually gives me an excuse.

For those who got both versions(Or have friends with the games), you can transfer all of the Demo goodies to as many games as you want, but only once per game. Filled up both Sun and Moon with a shitton of sellable items from the demo(On top of Greninja, Munchlax, and 100 Pokeballs for getting the duopack)

Anyone wanna exchange Friend codes?

I started with Litten. May look for the other starters soon.

Alolan Persian is pretty amazing. Fur Coat, Parting Shot, and enough speed to outrun many things it'd hate to fight. While far from a top-tier Pokemon it's more useful that normal Persian. And the best part is that's it's garfield.

As someone who liked that Pokemon since Gen 1 and used one in the GBA remakes, I may name it Nermal and add it on myteam.

I have a sneaking fear breeding is only available later in the game. I'll breed out Popplio and Sun exclusives when I can though.

Also Alola Grimer is doing work, this thing rules.

Now, here's a question. Assuming you get the Duopack of both ORAS and SuMo and get everything transferable in the demos on day one of their release, which one do you think got the better deal:

ORAS:
-Level 40 Glalie with Glalitite(International Versions)/Level 40 Steelix with Steelixite(Japanese Version)
-Pokeball x10
-Heal Ball x10
-Heart Scale x5
-Nugget x1
-Level 5 Shiny Beldum(With event-only move Hold Back)
-100 Potions

SuMo
-Level 36 Greninja with Battle Bond(Otherwise unobtainble in the game)
-Stardust x3
-Star Piece x1
-Nugget x1
-Pretty Wing x10
-Balm Mushroom x1
-Comet Shard x1
-Level 5 Munchlax with Snorlium Z(With event-only moves Hold Back and Happy Hour)
-100 Pokeballs

I would think that ORAS would be the obvious winner in terms of variety but everything sans the Beldum can be techincally obtained in the main game, while SuMo not only has a Pokemon you cannot get any other way, but a Z-Stone as well. Another thing is that while the ORAS items are a one-time Transfer, you can send the SuMo demo items to as many games as you please.

I got Moon so I could play in a dark setting, but I've since found out that by the time I get home from work to play it, my game is sunny and bright because it's nighttime for me irl :c

Though I wonder if this means evolving a Rockruff during my night, the game's day, would give me a midday form. I'm sure someone else has tested this out already but I'm curious.

I have a Popplio egg is my possession, after work I'll hatch it tomorrow and then I guess I'm raffle it off or throw it into the crowd and let people fight for it
