I'll drop my friend code in the thread on release day, but I won't get my hands on Sun until the 22nd.

I don't think I really need to say this, but if you have a pirated copy of S/M, don't go online with it and turn off wifi to be sure. You'll very likely get an online ban. As far as I'm aware it's either a console ban or a two week NNID ban.

EDIT: It's a permaban that can't be circumvented through CFW. You get one of those you'll need to buy another 3DS.
Yeah, they're apparently issuing bans for anyone who plays online, pirated or otherwise. Kinda reminds me of how they handled the XY leaks a few years back.

I haven't played online, since I'm not fucking retarded, but I forgot to toggle wi-fi off. I think i'm safe, though I'm not sure yet- gonna try out Mario Kart or some shit online, since I don't have an NNID linked on my N3DS.

EDIT: Yeah, if you don't go online with Sun and Moon, you're probably fine. I'd back up the save and inject it into a legit copy when launch comes, though.

Yeah you gotta be pants-on-head retarded to play leaked games online before release. I got a old 3ds with CFW and ive havent even bothered with wondertrade or any stuff involving connectivity as all ive heard with wondertrade anyways is that its full of hacked and illegit pokemon anyways . Not worth the bans at all.

Ill also say that the framerate drops are just plain awful on the old 3ds. Mines from 2013 and the totem and double battles make the poor frames drop from 25-30 to 10 and lower. This (along with Monster Hunter) might be the driving force to get me a new 3ds secondhand and run CFW on it as well.

Have yet to play the game, since my preorders are physical copies (I prefer to get physical because I share my games with my little brother when I'm done playing them), but I'm pumped. Going to the midnight release with a friend of mine.

I've got both versions, and I'm going to do a normal run of one, and a Nuzlocke of the other.

Semi-related, but apparently the new Animé started airing a couple hours ago. Check out the new traveling companions.

And as expected, James seems to have a Mimikyu

My subscription box on Youtube is full of so many videos of people doing LP's of Sun and Moon and the games aren't even out until tomorrow (at least for me).

The temptation to watch them is horrible but I don't want to be spoiled into oblivion about the story (:_( I'll just have to wait a while before watching the videos.

The first episodes already aired. ep1 and 2

I can't understand anything but it seems much more childish/exaggerated than the previous ones, reminds me of Yokai Watch. Ash apparently goes to some sort of school with his friends and team skull appears very soon, i'm not even sure if he is there to be a champion or just to chill.

Animation is very different and cartoony. Ash looks like a 10 year old brat, not a teenager that techinically has 10 years for the sake of matching the targeting but an actual 10 year kid. It reminds me of yokai watch a bit.

People have literally no patience... They can't even wait until tomorrow to play that shit? Like people are legit complaining right now about having to wait until Friday and it's not even out where I am on Friday (it comes out next wednesday???) Y'ALL DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD YOU GOT IT

WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO ASH'S DESIGN?! Seriously, he doesn't even look like the same character! :'(

Awww, James has a Mimikyu... He and Meowth are like the best characters, even though they're technically villains. They're so sweet. :')

I really like the new style of the show, personally. And the first two episodes seemed pretty darn good even though I didn't understand a bit of it.

Actually looking forward to the series. I didn't mind XYZ but I'm more of the silly cartoon and slapstick kinda person so the Sun and Moon anime is more my speed.

New Pokedex entries for Mega Evolved Pokemon try to guilt trip players into dropping the mechanic.
The excess energy from Mega Evolution spilled over from its mouth, breaking its jaw. It spews endless blizzards.
Mega Evolution also affects its brain, leaving no other function except its destructive instinct to burn everything to cinders.
Mega Evolution fuels its brutality, and it may even turn on the Trainer who raised it. It’s been dubbed “the blood-soaked crescent.”
When it Mega Evolves, it becomes more vicious than ever before. Some say that’s because its excess of power is causing it pain.

Poke'mon submitted another trailer for Sun and Moon, more than likely the actual last one now since the games come out in four days;

https://youtube.com/watch?v=xguGMeEWhhs
It covers:
  • Starter final evolution Z-Moves
  • Alolan Diglette and Dugtrio
  • Two new Ultra Beasts; UB-03 Lighting and UB-05 Glutton

I might actually go with the grass starter, for once.

Also, Glutton looks like a scorpion that ran into the Cenobites from Hellraiser.

To get an idea of how far back compatibility goes, here is a list of all of the games or accessories you can get Pokemon from that can all eventually end up in Sun and Moon

-Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire - Gameboy Advance
-Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green - Gameboy Advance
-Pokemon Colosseum - Nintendo Gamecube
-Pokemon Diamond & Pearl - Nintendo DS
-Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver -Nintendo DS
-My Pokemon Ranch - Nintendo Wiiware
-Pokewalker - Standalone Virtual Pet (Bundled with Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver)
-Pokemon Black & White - Nintendo DS
-Pokemon X & Y - Nintendo 3DS

This reminds me that I need to farm more filler Pokemon from Pearl to get the Mew from My Pokemon Ranch.

You can actually go all the way back to Gen 1, if you have the proper set up.

Theoretically, it's entirely possible now to transfer a pokemon all the way from Gen 1, to the current gen. Pretty weird.
