Speaking of updates, they like to secretly add shit into GO code-wise without telling anyone and then play dumb when people complain to support (or support is dumb and never got the memo from above)

I used to get this app and it's updates from places like QooApp and Aurora Store... 2 android app stores that don't rely on Google services at all and they worked just fine. A few months ago I, and a bunch of other people in the comments section of the app were complaining that Go was doing weird shit like kicking people out of their accounts and not letting them log back in. Turns out, they've added something into their log-in process that checks to see if you have Google Play Store activated/enabled on your phone, and if you don't it refuses to "authenticate" with your device. So anyone that wants to play Go on a jailbroken/FOS Phone without Google shit on it are pretty much fucked over, because even the Play Services, which used to be the ONLY thing you really needed to get past the majority of apps to play them, isn't good enough anymore.

I'm currently in the market for an alternative Go game that ISN'T Harry Potter. I tried Niantic's other app, but i can't get passed the sign-in phase without encountering an error, so idk wtf that's about. Either way, my dissapointment in GO is mounting to where I'm just about to go cold turkey on it completely.

Sylveon still seems to be used a lot competitively.

otherwise it seems Leafeon and Flareon are also sharing the same space with Glaceon. Vaporeon is still a bulky burner with wish and jolteon still spams volt switch so both get their fare share of the spotlight, just not as much as Umbreon/Sylveon.

Espeon AFAIK is either an all out attacker or has a calm mind set.

Because Fairy Typing and Pixilate Hyper Voice. Last i checked, Fairy is still THE best defensive type out there since it's immune to dragons, resists common Dark/Fighting types and only weak to shit that's rarely ever used (Poison/Steel).

PURE Ice Typing is still a turn-off to a lot of people since it only resists itself and Rock/Fire/Fighting kills it ontop of the underused Steel. It's practically tied with PURE Normal and/or Bug/Grass for being the worst competitively.

Even one of the big Pokemon Go sites hates this update. It's one of the few sites that criticizes the current state of Pokemon Go.

The kicker is the people TPC and Nianitc are pandering to aren't going to buy raid passes let alone download the game. Here's another kicker with this update: the map still looks like shit, and the other models like Team Rocket weren't even updated. You're basically a gay-tranny pedobait in an ugly world full of old af models. I can't wait to see how they are going to fuck up the "revisiting Kanto" update (in other words, I hope you like catching more pidgeys and weedles because you ain't getting any rhyhorns or other decent Kantos). It's funny how Pokemon always resorts to Kanto Pokemon when it comes to building hype (likeI said before, it's like no one gives a shit about any Pokemon after gen 1, and nobody likes the Pokemon past DP).

Meanwhile, the AR features were more or less deleted because Niantic couldn't bother to fix anything, pvp is still infested with cheaters, building pokemon still sucks, and events suck because of Niantic fuckery and fomo bullshit (low catch rates and high escape rates during community days). The recent bug event was meh because it barely gave you any combees for Stardust, and their catch rates were bad. Oh yea, now there's some lag when you try to catch any Pokemon. Go is a mess.

No one does give a shit about anythong other than Gen 1 and they did stop caring after Gen 4. It’s why V flopped and we got VI onwards. All the fans bitching about the pandering nowadays quite literally only have themselves to blame.

And honestly have probably been hyping up VI remakes so much because almost 15 years later they realise they are to blame but don’t want to admit they were wrong and are hoping the remakes doing well can make Nintendo go back to that.

See this is what bugs me about all of this. No one gives a fuck iof they are woke. People give a shit if the characters are ugly.

I suppose that is a benefit to Go, unlike the mainline stuff, pushback will have a clear dent on money and playerbase.
