We don’t know whether there will be those ball are not.

The game is clearly about building Lumiouse. And there was a luxary ball shop in the city.
Canonically speaking, Pokeballs as we know them from the mainline games weren't mass-produced until Sylph Company came into the picture. Until then, people either used balls made from Apricorns (as seen in Arceus), or just didn't bother and tamed them on their own (also seen in Arceus and continued up until at least when Drayden was still young). So while I do hope it isn't the case, I believe the Apricorn balls (and to an extent the Strange Ball) will reappear in ZA.

And Oak made the Pokedex. Except for all the other professors that also did at seemingly the same time. I don’t think the canon really matters for the minor things.

That being said. Absolutely Appricorns will be back. Allows them to keep the crafting system.

For Luxery Balls ypu’ll probably have to build an artisan-shop first and then get them to craft you different balls

Also we are likely getting at least a Charizard Z if not also an A.

Was thinking Psychic for Misdreavious. As for Raichu I was considering Petal Dance?
will tech Misdreavious that soon. just finished Erikas Gym (my eight Badge). Battle tutor for some reason wont teach you moves your pokemon can learn but wont learn from it (like i cant teach Piloswine Ancient power for some reason).

as for teaching Raichu Petal Dance, i will look into that but i think its another move Battle tutor has but no one can learn it.

Psychic is still in Saffron City, and Petal Dance is either a battle tutor or an event tutor. I personally would use the Raichus coverage more but other than that the movesets are fine.

Edit: Bonemerang is a fun battle tutor moves for Houndoom as well that could work out better than Iron Tail against rock types that aren't named Aerodactyl.

I was looking at the current list of confirmed Pokemon for ZA. It's interesting that outside of the obligatory Pikachu/Eevee/Magikarp lines, the Barboach line not only appears consistently in every mainline+mainline affiliated spin-off games since Dexit, but they're also in the default regional Dex for Galar AND Paldea. This is a feat that not even Masuda's favorite Psyduck line could not accomplish (it only appears on the Isle of Armor DLC in Gen 8 ).View attachment 5774179
Probably because Whiscash is the most powerful Pokemon, he ate a master ball and walked away.

I do hope he gets a mega or new evolution though, there's a lot of potential for design with him and he's seemingly one of those forgotten mons despite being a series staple at this point.

New evo in the vein of Dudunsparce or Annihilape would be nice. Mega could also work if GF is committed to keeping them in the mainline games (:optimistic:, I know). Fuck Region variant evos though.

that people still have to cheese, even in a casual playthrough.
What are you on about? By time I got to ultra necrozma I 3 hit killed him. And I'm a super casual player who doesn't do fuck all with comp shit. Maybe people just suck at this game I don't know.

Pokemon Clear Crystal is truly a gen 1/2 babies wet dream come true. just explore some cave system and found 25 RARE CANDIES!

we be eating good tonight mons!
I heard so much praise about CC and see you guys post about how great it is and wonder how incredible future works could have been if Shockslayer didn't sperg out.

All fresh from the Pokémon Lolcow thread:
No. They won't.

Oh wow! I remember when I saw a YouTuber make a video about this and how great the gameplay is and has customisation, which I love in a game but now has been tainted by forced diversity. Keyword FORCED because Shockslayer labels you a racist if you want to turn the feature off.
Is there anywhere I can keep up on this drama? I don't want to derail the thread but this looks entertaining.

ShockSlayer (the creator of Pokémon Crystal Clear) seems like a lolcow with his massive ego and hypocrisy in regards to code (stealing code from open source ROMhacks but leaving Crystal Clear closed source); is there enough content for a thread?

Finally got around to (re)starting (Ramotith's dewoked) BW3 and either the Gen 5 songs don't translate well to Gen 2 or the composers didn't do a good job IMO.
I have got o actually play the hack myself and o a proper comparison someday.

Pokemon is also one of the few franchises in the world for children that's for the most part, completely untouched by the Woke Mind Virus. So for the parents that do have kids, it's a "safe brand" for now. If Japan ever lets ESG into it's media and it creeps into GF, I promise you Pokemon would virtually die overnight.
SV was made to get some ESG/DEI points from Blackrock and Vanguard.
Sorry for replying two weeks late, but Pokemon has been somewhat "progressive", especially as the franchise started getting more inspiration from non-Japanese regions. IDK if it's purely for EDI/ESG or just because they know that the brand has a worldwide fanbase though.

I will give the Pokemon company points for trying to keep everything neutral and seldom (if ever) commenting on big social issues. For example, there's a lot more dark-skinned characters in the games and XY introduced a minor tranny character (at least in the English version; a Beauty trainer says they used to be a Black Belt). When people complained that Nessa, a dark-skinned Galarian gym leader was being "whitewashed" by fans because she's a "nigger", the Pokemon company said nothing. They didn't even confirm if Nessa is "black" or even "brown"... we only know is that she's dark-skinned from a fictional place that isn't a real equivalent to U.K (Galar).

There was similar speculation about Geeta being Pajeet-coded (nothing confirmed, and wouldn't make sense for a Mexico or Iberian-inspired region) or accusations that Cynthia was supposed to be Ainu and that Legends: A was an overt reference to Japanese imperialism, but they never said shit either. It seems to me that we're expected to accept that Pokemon is a fictional world where our real-life social concepts mean nothing and I'm fine with that.
