Horribadger, do you not realize these games are written by Japanese people? You're basically complaining about Japanese character writing being shit in general.
I assume the game was written by the same guy who gave us rirrie chan's magical adventure, so blatant waifufagging and one-note retarded characters whose motivations or actions don't make sense should be a given.
Honestly, we might as well give up on SV and SwSh entirely and just treat Arceus as the real Gen 8 entry. If another good(or even mid) Pokemon game comes out, that will be the real Gen 9

I appreciate Arceus for doing something different but fuck me I absolutely loathed playing it until the end, so that's a no for me.

it's so fucking GREY. like if i wanted to look at a miserable grey cloudy world where every task is extremely mundane i'd go the fuck outside
Where do you think you are? Okay, maybe some post OG Gameboy games might have other palletes than grey but the games always were extremely mundane with the same repetitive tasks over and over again. Honestly, you got to wonder why the franchise became as popular as it did because the actual game part is doo-doo, very basic bitch "my first rpg" with lots and lots of grinding

but pla is not a 1998 gameboy game

Kieran didn't understand shit. He believed ogres are the good guys, but that belief was based on nothing. He's a typical Joker-worshipping incel, but in the Pokemon world. Again, it was just a coincidence that the ogre turned out to be a good guy. Kieran worshipped that monster when he had no reason to believe it wasn't a murderer. He got lucky.
No, he was not an incel, he and his father were right that ogres were, in fact, good, friendly people. You're just projecting with buzzwords that he is a "murder worshipper." But that's what happens when you skim through the cutscenes rather than paying attention, you spastic.

This argument over a DLC character for a game I haven't played is the most autistic I've ever seen this thread. Which is really saying something.

@TVB Pokemon's writing is bad. Universally. So is @Stab You in the Back really at fault for skimming through and not catching whatever context you're obsessing over? Great clip though, King of the Hill is great.

Yes, the writing was explained in a very shitty way, and it's just typical modern Pokemon writing, which works as well as a middle school play, especially how Kieran was written and how ogres were handled. @Stab You in the Back is also a shitty writer (let alone an egotistical leftist) that doesn't understand, but would rather project what he thought happened.

Also yes, King of the Hill is based.

I literally get paid six figures to write, but whatever. Let's just agree to disagree. Kieran sucks, so whether he knew the ogre was a murderer or not is irrelevant.

Oh, and speaking of SV one of the games' mysterious symbols was solved this week.
Pokemon-Area-Zero-Symbols.png
Remember this specific geoglyph found in one of Area Zero's many caves? If you hunted Roaring Moon/Iron Valiant before the 2.0.1 patch you've definitely been here.

Well it turns out the real meaning behind it was under our noses the entire time, a Twitter user discovered that they line up to the locations of the shrines/tombs that contain the Treaures of Ruin quadrio. And yes, they made a bit of a goof and mixed up the location of Chi-Yu's shrine and Ting-Lu's shrine.

That's been known for a while and I'm not even sure it's what it's meant to be, or if it's even useful if it is, since the shrines are just basically at corners of a square. Like you could just overlay a square on the map and rotate it a bit and get one corner on each shrine, you don't need to duplicate the map and lay a bunch of extra shit over it.

My Shiny Roaring Moon hunt is going surprisingly well, I'm 2/2 on the Roaring Moon/Sandwich scale.

The first sandwich only yielded a single Roaring Moon on a Dragon-type sandwich during the last few minutes but I did manage to find a Shiny Pawmi in a group during the hunt. I was actually kind of worried that I'd have to whiff one this sandwich since I have a policy of not resetting a run if I spawn a non-boosted Shiny.

The second sandwich (which was Dark-type, a bit of a no-no for Shiny hunting Roaring Moon due to one-to-two additional Pokémon species that could spawn under it) yielded a whopping five Shinies, a personal record for me. I ended up catching a Zweilous, Sneasel (with a Cloud Watcher mark), Roaring Moon, Sableye, and a Brute Bonnet that literally spawned at the last second of the sandwich's effects.

Now the big question is to cash in my chips now and put the two Roaring Moons up on HOME's GTS for what I'm looking for or keep at it and farm two more Shinies.

This is honestly the first time I've ever heard of it, if it occurred in the past than it must've been low-key enough to not get noticed by the wider internet.

As to what it could mean, it's entirely possible that it's lore-based. It's mentioned in the Scarlet/VIolet Book that the geoglyph is either drawn by explorers from the time of the Paldean Empire or older and that they hold some form of meaning. I like to think that, considering how dangerous Area Zero is to the average person, the geoglyph is some form of warning about the deeper reaches of Area Zero or the shrines themselves.

And I've officially gone 4/4 on my Roaring Moon hunt with ~25 minutes of Sandwich Power left. Why couldn't I have this kind of luck when hunting them last year? Here are the Shinies (boosted or otherwise) I've gotten from each run.

Sandwich 1: Pawmo, Roaring Moon
Sandwich 2: Zweilous, Sneasel, Roaring Moon, Sableye, Brute Bonnet
Sandwich 3: Roaring Moon, Sableye, Houndstone
Sandwich 4: Roaring Moon

Part of me wants to dick around in Kitakami's Paradise Barrens for a Shiny Jangmo-o but another part of me wants to go for a Shiny Duraludon.
