I had some really weird Shiny luck yesterday, not only did I find a fifth Shiny Hoothoot but I then proceeded to find two Shiny Nosepass within five minutes of each other. And none of those were spawned with the help of a Sparkling Power sandwich.
Today appears to be fairly standard. I found a third Shiny Mimikyu in a Mass Outbreak I was whittling down, the first warning popped up shortly before it spawned so I had a Shiny rate of 1/1,024.38 (30-59 Mass Outbreak Pokémon defeated and Shiny Charm) at that moment.
Oh, and apparently you can get the Misty Mark (previously only obtainable in SWSH and BDSP) in Kitakami by mucking about near the unclimbable cliffs near edge of the explorable map. Sometimes the game will think you're going out-of-bounds and cause fog to generate and that causes any Pokémon that spawn during that that time to have a chance at having this "unobtainable" mark.
EDIT: I found a Twitter post going into more detail on how to get the Misty Mark on Pokemon found in Kitakami, apparently there are specific locations where these ”fog points” are (with one being impossible to trigger when playing solo) and which Pokémon are found around it.

To be fair Gen 5's protags (along with XY's, remember that an NPC gives you the TM for Protect after your "date" with Shauna at Parfum Palace) are noticeably older than any mainline game's protags before or since, IIRC they're around 15-16 years old.You literally go out on a date in both Gen 5 games if I recall correctly
